Q:I got a 2012 peterbilt 386 ...it just came back from the shop a few day ago to get injectors 4 and 5 looked at and repaired ....I'm getting a fault code for injector spill valve and a engine light ....I tried resetting the computer to get rid of the code but that's not it ... uld timeing of this cause the problem ...but other than that it runs like a champ so what could I do to fix this is it time cause I did probably get re timed when they repaired it
The fault for the spill valve is not something you can correct with timing. When they repaired or replace injectors they need to be programed into the computer so they match the other injectors. The spill valve is in the injector and is there to return unneeded fuel back to tank. If this valve does not work you could be over fueling or run the risk of fuel cooking in the injector making a mess of the spray pattern. It should be telling you which injector is throwing the code and if it is one of the two that were worked on take it back.

I've just replaced it, and was wondering if a missing valve stem cap caused faster loss of tire pressure.
The only way it will leak is if the valve stem core is loose. There is a tool sold tighten it. Take some dishwashing liquid and mix water with it. 30% dishwashing liquid and 70% water. Poor a little on top of the valve stem. If it is leaking it will bubble.
Q:I have replaced the rubber washer in the valve and when I pull up on the float arm everything seems to stop then shortly thereafter air bubbles start coming out of the bottom of the fill tube. How could air be getting thru the valve without water which would cause the shutoff valve to tighten?

Q:Im trying to make an apparatus that would allow you to breathe in from one tube and exhale through another is their a valve that does this. I originally thought that a one way valve might work however I cannot find one that works with suction.
If I get your idea right, you would have two separate one way valves, one in each tube, facing in opposite directions. When you inhale the valve that opens provides air from that tube and the other one remains shut because the suction is pulling it closed. When you exhale, the inhale valve is pushed closed by the air pressure from your lungs and the exhale tube valve opens from the pressure provided by your lungs. Consider spring loaded valves if there are problems with the pause inbetween enough positive and negative air pressure in the tubes.

Q:I had to replace the gaskets on my valve cover only to discover that the valve cover had developed a hole due to oxidation. I waited a week for a new valve cover to come in and left the engine exposed. Should I have any issues? I mean its covered but its still outside. Should I pour some oil on the exposed part of the engine?Its been already about a week.
yea it will be fine as long as you check the level and watch for bubbles of water on the dipstick after running it a bit, just change the oil and filter to insure you don't water foul a plug
Q:In my condo, I have what appears to be a water relief valve of some sort right after my water inlet pipe. It's after the water cutoff valve. It's not the water heater relief valve. It has a leak, not bad, just a drip right now. It looks like a half baseball sticking out of the main inlet pipe with a bolt in the center of it. I've tried to tighten it but that makes the leak worse. First, what is this. Second, Is there an obvious fix to this. Third, if I have to get it replaced, what model/manufacturer can I get so that this doesn't happen for a long while. My plumbing is short of fifteen years old.
Sounds like a pressure regulator, cause, relief valves don't have a bolt, they have a lever. If, it is the regulator, and its leaking, it needs to be replaced. Good luck with that.
