Q: I want to start dumbbell chest press to expand my chest and muscles. I'm a begginer and doing this first time. I'm 32 year male with 140lb weight. Can anybody help me to find out what size (meant weight in lb) I have to start with? And as a begginer how many repetations per day I have to start with?
To find the right weight of dumbells is kind of like guess and check. If you can bust out 10+ reps without any difficulty, then you'd have to bring the weight up. If you can do no more than 5 reps you are using too much weight. Find the right weight for you to do 7-8 reps with difficulty with 2-3 sets. Since your a beginner I'd suggest for you to do 7-8 reps, but as you get more advanced try to go to failure.
Q: So a few days ago, I had an adult sleepover with a girl I met just a few hours before at a party. We hit it off real well and then we go back to my place. One thing you should know about me is that my left eye is stitched up, because of an accident I had when I was young. Anyways...we're getting touchy feely on the bed and then she pulls on my ding dong and goes Santuary! Sanctuary!! And I was like what are you doing? And she was like, You're quasimodo from the hunchback of notre dame!!!! i was like wtf. But we fooled around some more and she left the next morning. I felt weird about that for the rest of the week. Now am I being too sensitive? Can I press charges against her for this kind of discrimination?
charges yes do it
Q: looking at the differences between 2 kits
This is a GOOD press and you won't be dissatisfied with it in any way. Personally, I prefer to prime my brass using an RCBS hand primer. It just gives me a better feel for seating the primer properly. After tumbling, cleaning, resizing and de-priming my brass, I just put it into a small plastic bucket. Then while I am watching TV, I sit there and prime my brass and drop it into another bucket. When I am ready to reload, my brass is primed and ready to go. Some folks like to prime on the press as they are relolading but it just adds one more thing that you have to do when reloading. Since the hand primer is not cheap (about $40 to $50) you ought to see if one of your buddies has one that they will let you try out before you buy.
Q: i can do 6 perfect form pull ups im 13 and just started working out 4 months ago and have put on 7 lbs of muscle do pull ups help for bench pressing and if i can do 6 how much should i be able to bench press i weigh 122 lbs yes im still bulking up on muscle i was VERY weak before i started working out but my strength has doubled or even tripled
It's more important to do reps. Keep a lower weight and try to increase how many reps you do ever day. Good Luck and keep up the good work.
Q: I have been working out for a long time now. I am asking this qun. to all fitness pros. bodybuilders. If Front Press worksout the front delts (shoulders) then what does Back Press do ? I generally do back press with barbell.
behind-the-neck shoulder barbell presses work out the same muscles as barbell front press, but it emphasizes the anterior deltoids to a much greater degree than standard shoulder presses because you're doing these presses in an unfavorable position. however, front presses should not be replaced by this as a standard mass or strength builder. i wouldn't recommend doing behind-the-back presses unless you've developed some form of shoulder strength and flexibility. having a spotter to help you on the heavier sets wouldn't hurt it either.
Q: The military says they fight for freedom of the press but at the same time the military says it wants the free press out of Iraq. The military says the press hurts the war effort.
Despite what you think, the press does NOT have free reign over military operations and operational security, or over anything else classified or deemed vital to national security. Besides, the only thing the press has accomplished is to go out of their way to report anything negative they can find and nothing positive, clearly for reasons of their own. The Arab media has done precisely the same thing. I don't blame the military whatsoever for wanting the press to butt out--can you imagine how the first two world wars would have gone if the press had been allowed to get up to the same antics they have had in this war?
Q: I love Lancome Photogenic pressed powder, but hate the $28 price tag. I do not usually wear any foundation, so the powder is all I use all day, everyday. Can anyone recommend a pressed powder very similar to this with a lower price? Thank you!
Mary Kay has a dual coverage that is only $14. You can get it from w w w . m a r y k a y . c o m / r e b e c c a . Don't use spaces. But I found this line to be as good as Lancome and much less expensive. Plus my consultant gives me excellent service.
Q: Jw what would be considered a good amount of weight for the classic chest press machine. Thank you.

Q: I just started bench pressing twice a week. I want to build muscle on my chest. I also do flat bench though so I'm not desperate to see results quickly. This is my second week of bench pressing twicedumbbell flies. I love doing them because I can feel the workout a lot on my chest. I just recently started a week. When will I start seeing results though?? I don't drink protein shakes because i hear they just make you fat. Is it true?I would like to hear suggestions???
I see what you are going through because I am going through the same thing. I do dumbell chest flies and dumbell chest presses, lateral raises, each consisting of right now 3 circuits of 20 reps of each exercise(3 times a week) and for me i did not start seeing results not until after 3 weeks . answering your question you should be seeing results at around 3-6 weeks. because it depends on many factors e.g what you are eating? how many times you do your exercise a week? and your body type. I would also suggest you doing 20-30 reps of lateral raises into your work out. going to your second question.as far as protein drinks i have the same fear as you have. that is why i don't drink it right now.(eventually I am going to give it a try) but I hear it doesn't make you fat. I helps you repair give nutrients your muscle tissue during your off workout hours. I hope that this information helps you. and remeber don't expect your body to look the way you want it to be over night. it takes a long time to get it there.
Q: Help! I've been stuck benching 140lbs for a good 1 month. I try overloading but it has not worked because I would just get tired. I'm 15 years old, 5'3 and weigh 105lbs. Is it because of my weight? My height? Or is it because I have adapted to bench pressing that it has no effect on me? I have mostly been working on my Fast Twitching Muscle Fibers. Maybe this is the cause of my plateau.I'm willing to switch to endurance exercises to improve my Slow Twitching Muscle Fibers but I'm not sure if this will help me break my plateau.Any advice will be appreciated.
Well if you're trying to beef up you need to eat more protein. If you're not a big eater then eat your three meals a day and snack on protein bars. As for the plateau just take a break from bench pressing like for a week then go back at it. Doing the same thing causes muscles memory. If you're looking to increase strength then try resistance training for a while then go back to bench pressing that way you don't fall into a plateau. Resistance training is a little more work on muscles so you probably want to start with less then 140Lb of resistance. Switch your workout up this will help keep you from the plateau effect.
