- Q: i am trying to decide which toddler vacuum cleaner to get my daughter for christmas. i've been reading reviews and still can't decide. we have a dyson which we *love* but the childs dyson has the worst reviews of all, it seems. does anyone have the kids dyson, hoover, dirt devil... or any of the other ones? i really just want the one that actually works the best. we have 4 dogs and my 2 y/o actually will go around with our handheld and go straight for dog hair to 'clean up.' i'd like to get her up off her knees and be able to do the 'push and pull' with a real vacuum like mommy and daddy do since that's what she really wants... plus using the dustbuster has her hands closer to the brushes than i'd like.

- household voltage is 120 volts ac. a typical household circuit is rated at 20 amps. if you were to think of electricity as water in a pipe, the voltage is the pressure. amperage is rate of flow. so in a water pipe you always have water pressure however you have no flow until you open the spigot. all the devices you named operate on normal 120 volt ac household current except an electric dryer which operates on 240 volts ac. the listed nameplate amperage or wattage is the current that is required to make the device work. there is no conversion of energy to make the device work. electromotive force is the force which drives a motor. items that heat such as a clothes dryer or incandescent light bulb work on a principle of electrical resistance. direct current is typically low voltage (1.5-24) and is the type of electricity found stored in batteries used in cars and flash lights, cell phones, etc. the only 12-16 volt 60-110 amp dc device would be an automotive type battery charger. hope i answered your question.

- Lol, no, but I did trim my junk one time with an electric razor, then used the vacuum to clean up the hair on the sink. I mistakenly left my nuts on the sink and got one sucked into the hose. I couldn't get to the off switch fast enough. I turned it off, and all was good..just sore for a few minutes. Hard to believe, but true story!

- I have a Eureka upright, Boss bagless upright (with hose attachments). I have 4 kids and an indoor allergy bearing, super shedding dog. That vacuum has been a really good vacuum and when it dies I will get another Eureka. Walmart has Eureka, and I am sure I paid under $100 for mine. I will say I have a Bissell carpet cleaner that I also like. One brand I have never had good luck with is Dirt Devil.
- Q: I have 4 cats and my vacuum recently broke. It wasn't all that good with picking up cat hair anyways. Can you suggest good vacuum cleaners for cat hair under $200? The attachments aren't a big deal to me and probably would be more of a hassle. Looking for something with easy disposable and strong suction. Thanks

- Q: Okay, I won't tell you who thinks what, but one of us think that you should dust your furniture, before you vacuum that way whatever dust gets on the floor its vacuumed up. The other thinks you vacuum before you dust...So which is it, do you dust before you vacuum or after?Please help this is so small but I would just like to do one of those kinda I told you so things.. Its a wife thing!
- Some vacuums blow dust back in the air. It then resettles back on furniture. Better to dust after you vacuum.
