Q: what brand do you recommend? I have 900 sq ft of carpet. I might replace the carpet with tiles. how long can a small vacuum like that work without engine getting too hot and shut down?is it expensive to maintaing?
I have cleaned a lot of peoples homes that have had different brands of the robot vacuums and I must say that none of them work very well. They get stuck easily and don't pick up the dirt all that well. My vacuum bag would be filled with dirt right after the robot cleaned the room. I have had several people tell me that the battery does not last that long, with the robot returning to the docking station after only cleaning area of carpet. They do work slightly better on hard wood.
Q: ok i know that this question i am about to ask is a real dumb, lazy question but anyway here it goes.....i do know about the Canned Air that u can use which is for cleaning out your laptop/desktop you know to get those dust particles out and stuff.......but i want to know cant instead of using Canned air (or if you just dont have any) cant u just use a Vacuum Cleaner hose to just suck up all the dust from the laptop/desktop? cuz basically thats what laptops are made to do and it would be a easier way to save money instead of buying more canned air.....well can anyone let me know tell me what you think....
Portable Vacuum - Sucking the dust, dirt, hair, cigarette particles, and other particles out of a computer can be one of the best methods of cleaning a computer. Over time, these items can restrict the airflow in a computer and cause circuitry to corrode. Do not use a standard vacuum as it can generate a lot of static electricity that can damage your computer.
Q: I was conversing with a person in the vacuum industry and was informed that they were a bucket of s.h.i.t so don't be fooled by the marketing.
While I've only heard good things from people who have bought DYSONS- I believe that proper maintance is really key... I have an older vacuum a HOOVER-SAVVY which I LOVE.. I've had it for just over 5 yrs. and it works very well. In fact when it came out it was rated as good as, or better than a DYSON and it cost 1/2 as much... I also since the vacuum was a gift I purchased the extended warranty which has been a great purchase and still was cheaper than a DYSON.. The warranty covered pretty much everything except filters.... So, I would take my vacuum in- 2x a year for it's annual clean check ( I would call under warranty and tell them it wasn't working properly) and basically come home with a new vacuum... I believe that anything you buy and use regularly and I vacuum almost everyday needs upkeep and maintanace... So, to anyone that buys a DYSON and finds it to be sub-par I would send it back under warranty and keep sending it back until the problem is fixed or they send you a new one... I have a set of CALPHALON non-stick commercial grade pans... I got them for a wedding present ($200.00)... They have a 10 yr. warranty. I send them back every couple of years and get a BRAND-'NEW set. No questions asked... After the 10 yrs. are up I'll probably just buy some other pans... I don't like them... However, if I can get brand new pans every yr. then why not? Read and use the warranty... good luck
Q: a retailer sold 50 vacuum cleaners at $90 and 35 vacuum cleaners at $140...what is the weighted mean price of a vacuum cleaner sold by the retailer???
Weighted price = Total Income / Total number of vacuum cleaners Weighted price = (50*90 + 35*140) / (50 + 35) = $110.59
Q: It could be anything, like staples, but you hear them hitting the insides of the vacuum. It's like a static sound.I think it sounds cool. XD
I can take or leave it
Q: I had a dyson vacuum it was terrible! it was heavy as hell and made of all cheap chinese plastic. I see oreck has some cheaper and more modern looking vacuums these days. Any serious opinions?
My Dyson vacuum cleaner was absolutely the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned! I had two cats, one of whom was a long-haired Maine Coon and I killed several vacuum cleaners trying to keep my house clean. The last one prior to the Dyson was a Kenmore that was in the shop every month due to clogging. It was always under warranty so it didn't cost me anything to get it fixed, but it kept breaking. One day, I was so fed up with the whole thing that I spent the money on a Dyson and never regretted it. When I moved overseas, I kept very few items . . . I kept the Dyson. It's in a storage unit, waiting to be used again. Sure, it's ugly, but it does the job like no other. Good luck on your search for a better one.
Q: I have a 1,200 square foot house and a dog that sheds a lot. I used the Swivel Sweeper 360 G2, and it sucks! I used it on rugs and my hardwood floors. I have hardwood floors throughout my house and some rugs in some of the rooms. I know attachments would help for the small areas like under the desks and TV stand. I need to find a good vacuum to buy and use for my house. I have no ides what is the best for my needs, there are so many to choose from. Please any advice would be very helpful!!!
Like the first Answerer said, you definitely want a vacuum with the 'brush off' option for your non-carpeted floors. Not only does it prevent scratching of the floors, but it also prevents 'throwing' that happens with vacuums that do not have this option--this is especially helpful for those who have cats as the litter gets thrown from the beater brush. Them Dysons are crap. I've vacuumed shampooed the carpet of my clients who had pets. The ones that had Dysons were the worst! I found out how terrible the Dysons were when I'd shampoo the carpet after vacuuming. There was SOO MUCH pet hair left in the carpet after vacuuming that it would constantly clog my shampooer. I kept having to take apart the shampooer clean out the pet hair that clogged the suction holes. I have a Bissell Lift-Off that I bought second-hand for only $45. Actually, I have 2 now as I use one for my clients the other for the home. Of all the vacuums I use ( I use a lot of different kinds b/c I am a house cleaner), I like this one the best overall.
Q: Okay its the commercial where the women are using these vacuum cleaners and when they are vacuuming its sqeaking. It sounds like a bunch of dog toys. I know this is confusing! I just want to know what brand and vacuum they are advertising for!
dyson
Q: What do you think of my one-liner?
They love Suckers I guess
Q: I need your help! I have had over 6 diffrent vacuums. The first one was great but heavy and old. It was a GE but now the old thing has broken down. So I have tried to get the light weight ones, the cordless ones, even ones with all these kits with them, but they are all worthless. Either they break or all too delecate or too big. I NEED ONE THAT IS BAGLESS, HAS GOOD SUCTION, SMALL THAT WILL FIT UNDER BEDS AND TABLES, GOOD WITH CAT HAIRS AND MAYBE INCLUDE A HOSE TOO. Please help. Give me a store name and a URL of the vacuum. Thanks.
Good one! :-P I did accidently!!! I was coming home with my vacume I just had repaired, it was a Hoover. The other car I had at the time was a hatch back. well, the clip on it had broken and I was traveling down the highway back home when the back flew open and my vacume took off, hit the ground........................ I was driving like 60 on that freeway and looking out my rear view window at my horror, the poor thing was sparking all over the place and other cars were dodging it in it's pass as it was litterly cruising backwards at high speed! I sincerely hope it didn't cause any accidents but I could have been cited for that. Nevertheless, I had the back door fixed and have a different car now. As for the poor Hoover, it went to the BIG Pearly gates in the sky!!!!!!!!!!!! :-( +(
