- Q: What is the point of this, if you are more than likely not going to be vacuuming at night? I've heard people say that it is to quot;know if a specific area is cleanbut I mean seriously... I don't think you really need lights do you?? Just vacuum during the day perhaps? Works for me and I don't have a dirty house.

- Q: Can a canister vacuum cleaner hepa filter be washed?
- Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

- Well I dont know if it is inexpensive but it is very important the vacuum has a power head to separate the carpet fibres to lift the pet hair, I have a SEBO and with several cats it does the job perfectly. I found cheap vacs with no power head are useless.
- Q: I have a two piece standard Kenmore vacuum (not an upright vacuum but one of those that the hose attaches to the body). Anyways, I was vacuuming and then all of a sudden the roller quit spinning. I thought maybe some string or some other obstruction was preventing the roller from spinning or perhaps the belt broke. But I took everything apart and found out the motor doesn't spin. I can't even spin it manually. If I remember right shouldn't the motor be able to spin freely? My motor is stuck and won't spin and I can't find any obstruction preventing it from spinning.Any thoughts?And secondly, can you clarify if the motor should spin freely when the vacuum is turned off because I could have sworn that in the past if anything got wrapped around the roller (like string) I could easily unwind it.
- yes it should spin by hand it sounds like a bearing has seized these may be part of the motor itself and non replaceable good sign of this is any grinding noise when trying to turn the motor, or the motor brushes have worn down or cracked and this can jam the motor
- Q: Does anyone recommend a hand held vacuum that has good suction enough to pick up cat fur from my couches and comforters? I am so tired of those lint roller things ...so expensive because you have to use sooo much. Is there a cheaper alternative?Thanks in advance :)

- All those fancy plastic manufacturing terms sound impressive, but I'm hear to tell you the Dyson's housings don't hold up like that of other manufacturers using ABS plastic. I've seen too many broken parts on those things. But Dyson has a lot of outrageous claims. Fact; Any vacuum can clog. There are filters to clean, and eventually you will have to replace them. There isn't a Bagless on the market that can out clean it's bagged counter part. They are made in Malaysia not England.
- Q: What's are some good ones that won't break in a year?? Should I go with an industrial strength one (although those are really costly).
- I have a bissell. Probably bought between $20 to $40 at Walmart. It's not huge but not skinny either. I've used it for a year, and it still works great!

- I have the Eureka Boss SmartVac. It was reasonably priced and it does a great job! I also have a dog that sheds quite a bit, and it gets everything! Plus, it has a feature where you can turn off the beater bar so you can vacuum your floor without scratching it. It's a Consumer Reports Best Buy. It's the best vacuum I've used, and I have used a lot (I clean houses). Good luck!
- Q: .......towards vacuum cleaners and hair dryersWhat can I do!?!?I've had her for 2 years and I tried to rehome her a year ago because I moved to a place that didn't allow pets.Well the people brought her back so now I am having to keep her secret from my landlord.But she is aggressive towards vacuum cleaners and hair dryers now!!!She ripped our vacuum cleaner apart. Tore off the hoses and the filters. One day I was hair drying my hair and she came running into the bathroom and howling, she snatched the hair dryer from me and started biting and chomping it.She's never acted this way before, what can I do??She's not aggressive to animals and is very timid around people and other dogs. She's not food aggressive and she's very intelligent.But now we have to replace our vacuum and we have to lock her in the back bedroom when we are vacuuming and she will tear down the door and rip up the carpet trying to get to it. She acts this way even when the vacuum is not turned on so we have to lock it inside a closet.
- You must understand that bully breeds are extremely strong willed in order to tame her you must take the time out to establish who is the most dominant being in the house. Bully breeds have developed a bad reputation over the years with their highly aggressive behaviors which is not there simply because it is in their genetics but because many of them have had owners who did not know the proper way to handle them. Another reason is because she is still in her puppy years which means it is the best time to perhaps take her to a dog trainer. I did this with my bull terrier 4 years ago who was extremely hyper. The trainer helped alot and gave me alot of advice that put an end to his hardheaded behavior.
- Q: HOLA! i have one of those kirby vacuum cleaners. Unfortunately i'm out of filter bags or vacuum cleaner bags. I don't want to buy online so can someone tell me where i can buy them. Like walmart or sumthin. They have to be kirby bags, nto just any old vacuum cleaner bag. THANKS
