- There are a few types out there ,but the one I m familar with is calles Rug Hold.. It s a thin rubberymat you put under your rugs to hold them down and wont react w/ your vinyl like the backing is know to your vinyl.. Ashphalt drives are a big problem (tracking in the oils) because the petroleum based products react w/ each other and causes the yellow stains you see.. Check any product like this and get the 1 for your needs.. They make them for wood and carpet etc The nice thing is they can be tossed in washer when they do lose tackeyness and be renewedGL

- An unfortunate accident with hair dye can make cleaning carpet a nightmare. In many cases, it may even mean the end of your carpet. Hopefully it won't come to this. There are a few things you can try to remove carpet stains of this nature. First of all, it should go without saying that if hair dye is spilled on the carpet one should act immediately. Dampen a sponge and apply dishwashing liquid. Blot the stain with the sponge until you've lifted as much of the dye as possible. You can also try doing the same thing with vinegar. If this doesn't work and the stain hasn't set into the carpet too deep, you might be able to snip the very top fibers of the carpet without anyone knowing. If none of this works, you'll have to call in a professional who makes cleaning carpet stains his business or rearrange your furniutre to hide the stain...

- You better just fess up to your mom. Using the wrong product can damage the carpet even worse. A carpet installer can actually cur a small piece out and replace it with new.

- For spot cleaning I use spray Resolve. It works great! I spray it on the stains and rub it with a dry rag and the stain is gone! When I shampoo my house rugs I use Bissell Rug Cleaner in my Rug Shampoo Machine. I also use this Bissell Rug Cleaner on my car matts. I just mix it with water and I use a scrub brush~~in my deep sink, NOT MY CAR, lol You can do it in your bathtub too, I would guess.

- Basic carpet will go for around 3$ (+-) a s/f installed with a basic pad. You ll need a pc 12x21 and that ll have several T seams along one wall. Or a pc 15x17 and no seams but will be 3 more s/f. I d go seamless and get the extra 3 s/f. If your carpet isn t glue down now and its a standard install , it will run from free rip out to 50 cents a s/f (about 100/125 $) One thing you may run into is disposal of the old and that can run from 75 /100$ All these prices vary from area to area but your looking at 1000$ for all you ve listed.
