Q: where can I find free pattern to weave a rug on a rigid weaving loom?
Are you working on a rug now? As you know, a rigid heddle loom has limitations. You can only do plain weave, and for a rug, this is just fine. If you are using rag strips, that is even better. The patterning will come from the colour of the horizontal stripes you are weaving. You can change them at will, or according to a set pattern. The patterns are only limited to your imagination! I would make a small drawing on paper and then just use coloured pencils or crayons to make horizontal stripes. If you have patterned material to work with, you may not need to make much of a design because the wefts (the cross threads) will make a design of their own. How wide is your rigid heddle? Most are fairly narrow -- perhaps up to 22 wide. Your rug is going to be quite narrow. You may want to piece two of them together side by side, and that offers further possibilities for creating a pattern. Just go wild!! You can do anything you want.
Q: I have a mini and was wondering if during winter he'd be warm enough with these two rugs:a 270g polyester ripstop combo sheet rugand then a cotton combo rug underneath the sheetAny help would be appreciated,Thanks
Since you didn't give any hint of where you live or how cold it gets, or rain or snow or shelter...let me just respond by saying the favorite temperature for a horse is about 55 degrees.
Q: What color does the living room carpet choose?
Techniques for carpet color matching: warm colors are mainly yellow, orange, and red. The cool colors are purple, blue, light and green. The weather is pretty hot in the summer, so we try to choose the cool colors as far as the colors of the carpets are concerned, but we have to coordinate with our other furniture. In winter, the weather is relatively cold, we had better choose warm colors, warm carpet can bring warmth to the room.
Q: my daughter got play doh all over my carpet....new play doh...how do i get it off the carpet
Kids love playing with Play Dough. The problem? It can be messy, and it always seems to end up on surfaces that are the hardest to clean...like the carpet. This simple 4 step process will help you remove ground in dough even if it seems that it's there to stay! Step 1 While it's still moist, remove as much of the play dough from the carpet as you can. Avoid stepping on it to prevent it from being ground in to the carpet fibers even more. Step 2 Is there dough that you were unable to get picked up because it's already too stuck to the carpet? Walk away! Leave the dough to dry for several hours (I find that over- night works best). You want the dough to be as dry as possible. Step 3 Using the edge of a spoon, firmly scrape the dough from the carpet. The spoon will not damage the carpet, and it will also loosen the dried dough that is stuck. Step 4 Vacuum the carpet thoroughly. Continue to scrape and vacuum until all of the dough is removed.
Q: my carpet smells like cat pee, but i know my cat doesnt pee on my floor. My family is the original owners of our house and she is the only cat that has been in this house. how would i get the smell out of my carpet and if for some reason she is peeing on the carpet how would i get her to stop? also i thought it could be the smell of dust but i vacuum, how would i get my carpet to stop smelling?
I would go and find a good stain and odor remover, and also a pet stain sensor thing.I can sense where there are actual pet stains. Our stair carpet smells like cat pee,and it hasn't ever gone away-you might have to get a new carpet.
Q: i have dried glue on my carpet and i don't know how i can remove it. is there anyway that i can remove it?
Hi I would recommend using a wet vac and slowly pour hot water (almost to the boiling point) on the spot and vacuum it up at the same time (this will open up the dye ports on the carpet fibre releasing the glue. and remove the residue from the carpet). If the stain is still visible than use a little carpet spotter on it or Dawn dishwashing liquid (2 or 3 drops into one cup of water) and repeat step 1. The stain may come back in a few days so you may have to do this a few times. Please DO NOT put anything on the carpet that was not made for carpet. At this point if the stain is still there please call a carpet cleaner.. Carpet cleaner of 14 years
Q: is the carpet easy to have bugs on it, and how to deal with it?
Should spread some mothball powder evenly on the carpet, and put it under the carpet where is easy to have bugs. the storage of the carpet, while the corner and around , two or three years after the carpet paved. the parts of the carpet that is easy to have bugs. Because these parts are not often stepped on and clean out the dust: 1. 4. This is because the wooden floor is easy to absorb moisture, making the worm survive, but do not solarize it, all parts of the carpet may have worms. to save the pest problems, you need to maintain the cleanness of the carpet, and sprinkle a layer of mothball powder to avoid the worms. there is dust and air on the washed carpet, so you should move it to outside and hang out in the sun. 2. The carpet having used for one year is easy to have worms, especially the carpet on the terrazzo ground. you'd better wax the wooden floor. 3, carpet paved on wooden floor . Because there is a gap between the warp and weft threads. we list some parts of the carpet that is easy to have bugs. Preferably above the ground for half a meter to one meter height. the parts above 3 to 1 meters is easy to have insects. if it continues to be used , the middle part of the general carpet need to be cleaned up with chemical drugs because it is not easy to have worms. 4. The effective methods to avoid the carpet having bugs. 2, and then wrap and bundle it tightly in the ventilation place. when you reuse it, you should brush and dry it before you pave it on the ground. 3, there is still air flowing into the carpet after paved on the ground, and because of the characteristics of textile, there will be bugs under certain conditions, so the ground should be cleaned out.
Q: Im having trouble finding a rug that I like for my living room, so I was thinking of finding a large carpet remnant to use in the space instead. Does anyone have any tips for finishing the edges of the carpet to prevent frays and little carpet fuzzies taking over my living room?

Q: I spilled liquid laundry soap on the floor yesterday. I cleaned it with a wet vac and I thought it went away. Today when I woke up it stained the carpet. I've been rinsing it all day with just water and sucking it up with the wet vac. How can I get this stain to go away. Please help very desperate.
Laundry Detergent shouldn't stain a carpet as it is a type of soap that can be used to remove stains from carpets, haha. If rinsing with water again and again isn't working, you might want to try a stain remover. Are you sure you have removed all the detergent from the carpet and the stain you are seeing isn't just the dried detergent left in the carpet?
