Q: My power supply has one cable with 3 sata connectors on it. Can I connect my disc drive and hard drive on the one cable? My PSU also has a cable with 3 four pin molex connectors on it and my case has 3 fans. Can I connect all my fans to that one cable with all the molex connectors on it?
Yes to both questions. It doesn't matter whether you're connecting only harddrives to that cable or only diskdrives (aside from the fact that these are usually located a little apart from each other.) You can combine both and they will work. As for fans... If they have the molex connectors rather than standard 3-pin fan connectors, you can connect them for sure. Depending on what power supply you have, you'll probably have anywhere from 18-30amp on your 12v molex rail. Harddrives will take under 2amp, and depending on what fans you have, they'll use anywhere 0.5-3amp, so even if you have 3 extremely powerful fans drawing 3amp each (3 x 3amp = 9amp), you can safely connect 6 of such monster fans to that 12v molex rail. To be honest, I haven't met too many of such fans - most standard 120mm fans, even with leds, will use no more than 1.5amp. 80mm fans non-led fans will use about 0.3-0.5 amp. If you have a very powerful psu with 30amp on 12v rail and hundred of 80mm fans, in theory you can run all of them. In practice, I'd like to see that :)
Q: My hard disk power cable was burned and when i connected my HD to another system, it is working....so what could be the problem in my pc???
Replace SATA power cable or using SATA Power from Power Supply. This issues will normally happen with separate piece of SATA Power Cable. Because of 4-pins power losing and touch another power pin. Lucky you. It didn't cook your hdd
Q: VV3 * 120 + 2 * 70 cable what does it mean
Friends, shielded cable is a layer of mesh copper or metal wire woven from one or more wires surrounded by a cable, this layer of mesh to prevent lightning, the outside signal can not interfere with it, and control cable is used To control the device to start the protection circuit, etc., in general occasions do not need to shield, with the general insulated wire on it, as long as the load on the line.
Q: hi, i just got a new graphics card for my PC and it needs a 6 pin power cable so i got one but i don't know where to plug it in (not on the graphics card but in the computer) can some one help me pleas.
In a place where there are 6 holes!! lol
Q: My ac jack is screwed up and I can't plug in the ac adapter. I have heard that there is a power cable that will plug into one of the other ports on the side of the computer to, but I don't know where to find one or what they are called. Also, I have heard there are a million problems with the R3000 - and some can be fixed by taking it apart. I do NOT want to do this. I just need an alternative power cable. The laptop works perfect - if it had power. Thanks in advance. :)

Q: So I've had my laptop for about a year and a half now and I've gone through 4 power cables, 3 non-factory. What happens with each one is, I plug it in, the blue light surrounding the hole turns on, the end of the power cable that plugs into my laptop gets super hot and either melts the power cable, or when I plug the cable in, the light won't come on unless I have it in just right. This usually starts to happen between one and three months after I get a new cable. It's starting to go through them faster now, any ideas?
Get it repaired. There might be a short circuit inside the socket. It will ruin your computer if you dont act now. You will lose your laptop or spend more if the laptop itsel gets damaged.
Q: So i'm trying to start up an old windows 98 model. I was thinking of using the cable from a laptop because it fits into the power supply. Problem is i don't know if its safe, advice?. On the computer it says quot;AC input: 115V~/230V~,10/5A 60/50HZON the power cable on the other hand, it says 16A 250VAm i good to go?
most computers use an IEC 3 blade connector. if you have one of these standard connectors that fits the computer on one end and your power outlet on the other, then you are good to go. these are generic and used on many different electronic devices not just computers.
Q: where do you run the power and signal cables for a sound system in a peugeot 307
well for convenience, id run the power cables on the side of the car that the battery is on and the rca's on the other side.
Q: its like a big power box the has two metal prongs, and is about 2quot;X3big and fits into the same size slot, if you push it in it gets power for a second then doesnt if you jiggle it around it gets power for a second and doenst.anyone know please?
Dell power cords are notorious for crapping out. They overheat, they have poor solder connections, the pins on the connectors fail. The only thing you can do is try to determine which side has the problem and order a replacement. Yes, they sell the damned things seperate! I had some success for a while by finding THE SPOT where it stayed powered up and taped the Shite out of it. Good luck friend. I have 3 Dell laptops with the same type of power cord, I've had to replace all three at one time or another.
Q: Just curious i also want to have my ps3 in good condition so i was wondering how durable is the power and av cables
they would last for years if you dont pull them or stomp on them... they are that good!
