Q: I have a small area rug that my coffee table sits on. I notice every day that the rug buckles up and I have to keep lifting up the table and setting and smoothing the rug out. Is there something I can do to keep the rug from doing that?
nail the corners down ? ?
Q: is there anything people can suggest to get an odour out of an area rug... it says specifially that I can't shampoo it so thats out.I can try febreeze but that always seems to just mask the odour it doesn't actually get rid of it.I think the odour itself stems from our vacuum, it needs replacing but until then I need to figure out a work around for this smelly rug as my infant usually has his play blanket ontop of it and has tummy time on there so I really don't want it to smell anymore.1. Can't shampoo2. Febreeze only masksAny suggestions please!!
50-50....vinegar and water..add baking soda...spray all over the rug..let dry..vacuum and do again......but don't vacuum..sprinkle baking soda on it and let it sit a day..then vacuum WORKS GREAT ON ANY ODOR!!
Q: What are the lyrics of rug time (sid the science kid)?
Would like to know more about this too
Q: This might be a stupid question. But I'm about to buy carpet and I need to know how many sq. feet I need. thanks
what carpet or flooring you want and are satisfied with your plan you can now start to measure the rooms etc. When measuring it is very important to measure the widest point so make sure you measure into doorways as this is what most people over look. Just take your time to look in the room and make sure you have accounted for all the areas in the room. Most carpet is 4 or 5 meters in width so take this into account ie.where joins will go if required or how much waste will there be to do other areas. when measuring stairs just measure the width and allow approx 1.5 foot per stair in length. Draw arrows on your plans to which way the carpet will run this will make it easier when working out what size carpet you will need. Carpet will usually come in 12 and 15 foot wide rolls, so depending if the one you pick come in both or just 12 wide will determine exactly how much you need.
Q: ok so my dining room has rug, which im not a big fan of would prefer tile or wood flooring but anyways since its rug i wanted to get an area rug to put underneath my table thats made of some hard material that in case people sill or drop food it can come off easily like it wood if it spilled on wood or tile flooring, has anyone seen carpets like that??? or any suggestions as to what i can put under there?
i will prefer to put a rug underneath the dining table you can easily remove the food items if they fall below the table i will suggest this site i hope you can find pretty good Information about the table exposure good luck
Q: so funny story haha. i was at softball practice last night at an indoor facility. The ground is made of an astroturf- carpet type material. the drill was to practice sliding on a piece of cardboard. i however slid a bit too early and skinned my thigh on the carpet/astroturf stuff. Now i have a giant burn thing about the size of my fist on my right thigh. It oozes constantly (which is extremely gross!) Last night i slept with it uncovered hoping it would dry up a bit, but it didn't. i taped a piece of medical gauze over it today for school, but it oozed right through! Also, when i went to take it off, the gauze was stuck right to it, and i had to yank it off hard, and it hurt soooo badd. i really don't want to have to do it again! Can someone please tell me how to make the pain go away (it burns!), make it dry up, and stop oozing? I've skinned myself before, but this is the worst one i've ever had.
Don't like he said it will get Moise ????????????????????????????
Q: My carpet is light beige.
Just bleach it all and have a blonde carpet......
Q: What size rug should I get?
That depends on what else you have in there and how much of the tile flooring you want to cover. If you want to completely cover the room with the rug, get a 16x16. If you want to see some of the tile, get something more like a 14x14 to 12x12 (depending on whether you want a 1-foot tile border or 2-foot). But, let's say you have a basic set-up with a sofa against one wall and a coffee table in front of it, and an entertainment center against the opposite wall. And, you want the rug for accent, not necessarily to cover up the tile. The area rug would start just about at the front edge of the sofa, maybe a few inches away from it. It sould be centered side to side with the sofa, and come out far enough to extend a couple feet beyond the coffee table. In this case, you would be looking at somewhere between a 5x8 to a 6x9 area rug, with the coffee table pretty much centered over the rug. These are pretty standard sizes, because that's generally how people use them as an accent.
Q: How can I clean my carpet really well without using a steamer/shampooer? There's no stains on it and I vacuum regularly, but when my baby starts crawling i don't want a nasty germy, oil/dirt infested, carpet. What products are good?
You're going to have to rent a carpet-cleaner machine from your local grocery if you want to get your carpet really clean - it's really no big deal, and dries pretty quickly. If you're worried about the chemicals in the shampoos and cleaners that you are supposed to buy for the machine, you can always just use hot water and white vinegar instead of the bottled carpet-shampoo. Vinegar kills as much bacteria as antibacterial soap does - the only draw-back is that everything will smell like vinegar for a while. Whatever you do, don't use any of those powders that you shake over the carpet and then vacuum up - not good for crawling babies, as the powder residue can get on their toys or hands, which then put in their mouths. If you're just looking to kill surface germs, you can put vinegar and water in a spray-bottle and spritz the carpet with that, though renting a machine will get it really clean.
Q: I spilled liquid laundry soap on the floor yesterday. I cleaned it with a wet vac and I thought it went away. Today when I woke up it stained the carpet. I've been rinsing it all day with just water and sucking it up with the wet vac. How can I get this stain to go away. Please help very desperate.
Cut out the carpet.
