Q:My parents bought our house two years ago. It was remodeled by the previous owners, and they cut a lot of corners just to sell the house faster. We were unaware of this when we bought it, and we soon found a bunch of mistakes.We have berber carpet in beige. I absolutely hate this carpet and so do my parents. We have three dogs and they track in mud sometimes. It is hard to clean. Plus, my dogs seem to think they can dig through our floors, so they unravelled the berber carpet outside my bedroom door.What is the best carpet for us? Something that cleans well, but is tough enough to last years? What colors do you recommend also? Thank you.: Carpet is such a taste thing. I like level loop carpet (like most commercial carpet.) In fact, I like commercial carpet period, as long as it is made of nylon. IN your case, if you use commericial carpeting, make sure it is continuous backing that is water proof. Nylon will not stain, is very easy to clean with a steam extractor (buy one and keep it handy if you have doggies). The most important part is the water proof continuous backing...water cannot penetrate the backing and therefore, will not drag up dirt into the top when the carpet dries! Commercial carpeting is all moving towards squares that, when laid, look like a continuous carpet..the glue used makes it easy to remove and replace a square should it become badly damaged...no problems with the entire carpet! BUT it is expensive (and well worth the money)...figure about 30.00 a yard installed. No padding is used. Furniture does NOT have to be removed from the room. And it will last probably a lifetime under your wear/tear conditions. Install once and be done with it...therefore, choose a neutral tweed...biege with brown, black, gray, copper flecks will go with everything, anything in the future. Good luck, Goldwing

Q:I've had this area rug/carpet for a few years. It still looks great, but it has fold marks, and I always have to pull it to even it out, I believe it is caused by the coffee table. Is there a way to undo this?: use a wet towel and an iron run it over the fold marks.

Q:What are the benefits of regular cleaning of carpets?: I have been to a small day (general entertainment is dimly lit, can let you distinguish between men and women is good), looking for something to see the headlights opened to see the results of sofa, tea table around the stained, the sofa is too horrible to look at, carefully smell, taste it..... You have no appetite for eating in such a place!

Q:I have a small rug on my carpet in my bedroom and for a few days it got flipped halfway over, and now there is a huge role in it. I tried flipping it the other way for a few days but it was still there. any tips?: Lay the rug flat on the floor and put heavy books on top of the creased part. Leave the books on the rug for at least 5 days. The books will smash the wrinkle out. You might want to put the rug in a spot where it won't be in the way. :) -

Q:Can polyester carpet be washed?: Yes, it's just not easy to clean.

Q:I am planning on getting a Carpet Python in a couple of months and wanted to know a few things about them as I am still learning about them and I like to really know about a snake before purchasing.1. Do Carpets like climbing when adults?2. Do carpets like to be held after their nippy stage?(After Maturing a bit)3. If I started him off in a big tank would it be ok? or would i have to use a smaller tank then progress?Any other cool things you guys know about Carpets I would love to hear about also!Thanks in advance! :): Carpet Pythons are semi arboreal, so they will appreciate some things to climb on when they are young and old. But as they get older they will need some pretty sturdy branches. Depending on what locality you get, it may get anywhere from 6'-12'. Carpet Pythons actually mellow out a lot when they mature a bit. They are fine with being handled, and it'll make it easier on you. You could start off in a big tank, but you have to make sure that the snake feels secure. Lots of hides, branches, etc. Plus you need to make sure there's enough heat for the whole cage. I would start off in a smaller tank if you can, but you don't have to. And one other tip about Carpet Pythons, unlike most snakes, which are usually fed prey the size of the fattest part of the snakes body, they actually can eat prey that are bigger than that, and prefer it.

Q:where can I find free pattern to weave a rug on a rigid weaving loom?: Are you working on a rug now? As you know, a rigid heddle loom has limitations. You can only do plain weave, and for a rug, this is just fine. If you are using rag strips, that is even better. The patterning will come from the colour of the horizontal stripes you are weaving. You can change them at will, or according to a set pattern. The patterns are only limited to your imagination! I would make a small drawing on paper and then just use coloured pencils or crayons to make horizontal stripes. If you have patterned material to work with, you may not need to make much of a design because the wefts (the cross threads) will make a design of their own. How wide is your rigid heddle? Most are fairly narrow -- perhaps up to 22 wide. Your rug is going to be quite narrow. You may want to piece two of them together side by side, and that offers further possibilities for creating a pattern. Just go wild!! You can do anything you want.

In addition, antifouling, fiber rapidly kinks. it stands wear and tear and is easy to be corroded. when you purchase a carpet, you can easily identify the texture by observing the characteristics of the carpet. for example, if the carpet pulls well and is colorful and soft, then it is made of chinlon. now blended carpet is widely used in general home decoration because it is mothproof . Through the above method, polyester and other chemical fiber are not easy to age , and their ashes are the black lumps. the carpet made of them seaming the linen was affected greatly by temperature; nylon is flameless and does't fade , its visual sense is similar to wool; polypropylene shows yellow flame when it is burned ; acrylic fiber is high-grade floor decorative materials, it burns slowly and it is smokeless and anti-corrosion, so it suitable for the home entrance and sides of toilet bathtub. as for the weight of villi, you can choose one cantaining more villi, but the price is expensive; polyester fiber shows yellow and white when it is burned, it has as many patterns as pure woolen carpet. With fire prevention and antifouling characteristics, it becomes the leading product of the carpet in decoration of high class houses.
