Q: My cat ruined my carpet, and I want to rip it up. Where do I take the carpet ?: Where ever you take or put your garbage now , BUT, Landfills may charge you because its non compactible trash. Your curb side pick up generally will take it if you put it out in just a few , small cut up (tied or taped) rolls at a time . Don t try all the carpet at once they usually won t do that much at a time. I ve run into some companies that will do a one time spring clean up pick up service. Some have this as a service ( once a year) but most people don t know about it because they don t tell you up front. Cut the carpet from the back its much easier, tie or duct tape it in easy to carry rolls. Is this a good value, ok value or expensive value. can i get better deals elsewhere in MN.: I would say yes it is a good deal if you are getting average quality carpeting. I just spent a couple of days roaming around Dallas looking for carpet for a show my Theater is doing and there were very few varieties that I could get just the carpet for less than $34 per square yard. I would say if that included everything I would jump on it.

Q: My Condo is 624 sq.ft., and I plan to remodel, and remove old carpet flooring, and replace.: There are tons of price ranges for carpet out there. One of the main things that effects carpet price is the composition. The 2 main compositions are polyester and nylon. Polyester is the kind that seems to clog up my vaccum with thread residue. Polyester is inferior to nylon. It will not last as long as nylon, but you will pay less. All types of carpet, berber, cut piles, cutloops come in all price ranges. I, personally, don't prefer berber as I have cats that will take up the loops and it's super casual. If you go to one of the big box stores, you will be safe with a nylon in a $2.50/sqft range. It won't be top quality, but it won't be contractor-quality either. When you're searching for carpet (what a task!) you'll want to pay attention to the face weight as well. That is, essentially, how much a carpet weighs per sqft or sqyd (or, how much thread is it composed of). The higher the face weight, ordinarily the more resilient the carpet will be in the long haul. The best carpets have a face weight over 70 or so. The commerical or contractor grade carpets are usually in the 30's. Best of luck!

How much would it cost me?: cut a stright square around the burn get yourself some carpet tape its a glue on tape you can do this job for 20-30 bucks you cut the area out place the new piece in place makeing sure it will fit in the space perfectly then you cut some carpet glue tape ane get a carpet iron and heat the glue and place the new carpet into place thats about it you can get an iron from a home deopt or lowes for 15 bucks rental and the mateial your looking about 20-30 bucks
