Q: I spilled Coca-cola on my area rug. The rug is relatively inexpensive and I've never spilled liquid on it. I decided it would be a brilliant idea to sop up as much liquid as I could with a towel and paper towels and then pour baking soda all over it, which I then proceeded to rub in. (I know, idiotic). The stain is now hard and crusty and I cant seem to vacuum it out. Any advice?: Not all is lost. Break up the crusties as much as possible and vacuum, probably just use the hose, not the various heads. Keep doing this until you'd removed as much as possible. If you have a clothes brush, use that to help as you vacuum. When you've done as much as you can, time to switch methods: first put a towel, shower curtain or whatever under your throw rug as you don't want to ruin the floor under neath.......if vinyl.......relax. Anyway. Make a solution of OxyClean.....I'd say a scoop to a quart of warm water.....mix well and then apply it to the stain.........if your carpet doesn't have latex on the back and you can move it to the tub.....pour the Oxyclean over the stain. Otherwise pour a bit on.......1/4 cup or so, rub with your fingers and immediately begin blotting it out with a clean towel......white or light colored just in case you get a color run from the towel. Repeat applying and blotting it up. That should do it. I doubt you'll need the whole quart. OH yes, finish with a clear water rinse and plenty of blotting. Check the towel or whatever underneath and replace it if wet. Let the rug air dry. No hair dryers as heat will set stains. Of course we hope like anything the OxyClean doesn't remove the color from your rug.....if you have bright colors.....use a weaker solution. OxyClean ihydrogenen peroxide which will bleach colors if in a very concentrated formula which it in the in the original mixture I mentioned.

Q: I'm finally getting my own room, the bad part is I cant get a new colored carpet. I'm painting the walls light purple and I need to know a good rug color so I can make the green carpet and light purple walls match. I was thinking lime green, a friend gave me the idea. Which color do you think will go good with it?: i in my view like heat colorings. I even have brown fixtures and painted the partitions a paprika colour. No, it particularly is not any longer orange; i pick the colour very heavily to ward off this. seems great w/ a heat tan and olive (no longer sage) accessory colorings. very heat and comfortable and could no longer seem washed out in a room w/lots of organic solar. in spite of the fact that in case you do unlike green real olive is extremely diverse from sage and if used as an accessory colour basically, he might actual like it. confident, the crimson and sage component grow to be vast some years in the past, no lots any further. in case you stick w/yellow you may make it extra of a gold tone to soften and upload some intensity.

Q: One night, I was bored, so I decided to use the carpet cleaner on the carpet. The next day, I needed to use the computer for various reasons, which was in the room I used the cleaner on. I went in and went on the computer, until my mom found me on, and told me that you can't step on wet carpet, otherwise it grows mold. She got that from a professional cleaner. So, does anyone know if its true or not?: Stepping on carpet isn't going to make it mold, Mold can start to grow within 4 hours of carpet getting wet, You need to get some air circulating on that carpet . it should only take a couple of hours to dry, Put some fans blowing on it or any way you can get air movement, Open the windows or do all of these thing It sounds like you saturated the carpet , this is a common mistake people make cleaning there own carpets, good luck

Q: i have a my living room which is 23 by 18 feet then my dinning room is 11by 11 how much would it cost to carpet it that. A rouch estimate????: Hey, U.P., what's up? Sometimes we just have to be proud of the fact that even three and four year olds can use computers these days. Other times, we need to figure out how to invent a childproof locking keyboard. I mean we keep 'em out of aspirin bottles and there are trigger locks for guns. I know the computers have anti-child settings, but those are software solutions. We need a physical lock for our keyboards!

Q: I have never washed a winter rug and my horses really needs doing but I'm not quite sure how !?Dry cleaners ?In the bath tub? (by hand) The washing machine looks to small... and I do not want to wreck it !!!Thankkss xx: Im lucky our dry cleaner has very large front load washing machines that take them quite well. Although you can never get them perfect I wash them in the hottest water available. I do not care about color washing out. I want them clean. I also use either a blanket cleaner or I just buy the soap for infants that way it does not irritate their skin next winter. But before I take them I usually leave them over a fence during the spring rain to help wash as much of both sides. I usually rotate between big storms to clean both sides. I also don't want my care to smell to bad. I love horses but my job requires taking people around in my car. Just my 2 cents.
