Q: This is the hood located inside the grill on the front of the car that you pull to lift up hood. It broke off. Now I cannot lift the hood at all. What is this part called? I want to try and buy the part online. Thanks in advance.
I personally would buy it in person mainly because I want the identical part. Start looking at the Mercedes dealership in the parts department (and get a price base to work from). Personally, I would have thought that part was made out of steel.
Q: Ok I have a 2001 Chrysler sebring sedan 6cyl 2.7L, and when I my brake it kind of stutters and makes a knocking sound. On a scale of 1 to 10 1 being barely pushing the brake and 10 being pedal to the floor. it usually happens between 5 and 7. The stuttering feels kind of like one part of a brake disc is thicker than the rest and when the pads hit that part the car slows much more quickly ,btu that part is no big deal. what i‘m really worried about is the knocking i get when i push the brakes between 5 and 7. There is nothing wrong while I‘m driving it only happens when I push the brakes. Thanks
I had a short tap or knock noise when applying the brakes in drive only. I changed the rotors, the calipers, and the pads at the same time. It started after I did this. I found out by jacking up the front end and listening to the brakes (when applied) and (I spun the tires manually mind you) one at a time, by using common sense, I out a screw driver in the small area between the top of the brake pad and the caliper, and found out there was too much travel from the holes that support the brake support pins. I changed the pads making sure to match up the bad pads to a pair of new ones, (with a small diameter brake support pin hole). That was the issue. The pads from Advance Auto,(ceramic wearever-about $50), were machined incorrectly. Problem, solved.
Q: Does the lift service require a special industry operation certificate?
need
Q: Ok, so I have a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, and I have a couple questions regarding how hard it would be to lift it myself (as oppose to having a auto-shop do it). I have a lot of the tools I think I would need, however I have little experience with cars. How much money could I expect to have spent after all is said and done? Finally, how long would it take me? Any other advice or info would be great. Thanks.
UNLESS UR SEXY HOT, AND MY TYPE OF girl!!!!
Q: This is my first jeep and the first car that i am lifting and have a couple of questions. I have a 1995 Jeep wrangler rio grande manual trans. i bought two inch shackles and want to put on a one inch body lift I am not sure if a need a pitman drop or a transfer case drop. can someone explain to me what i have to do besides just a lift. Thank you
First of all the shackle lift will cause your spring to wear out prematurely. Second, with a one inch body lift you shouldn't run into many obstacle, you may have to do a little trimming around the shifter boot and around the clutch linkage to get everything to line up right. You will not have to get a longer pitman arm if you decide to use the shackles. Typically a longer pitman arm is needed for 3 inches and over. I would strongly urge you to return the body lift and the shackles and save your money up for a full suspension lift. Oh, and you will not need a transfer case drop either because the angle of the axle will change with the one sided shackle lift enough to compensate for the lift (kind of like a see-saw effect). If you do the shackles, replacing your bushings isn't a bad idea either along with some new heavier duty bolts, because the shackles will tend to have more side to side movement now and if you turn hard and then take off hard it will tend to break the standard bolts.
Q: im planning to by a 97 mazda and am 17 w/ a permit for $2200. I need some precationary tips and explanations so i dont get played like a fool here, so can you guys help me out? Like when you buy a used car, what are the main things you look for in the car? and, what are some steps you take? like would a carfax report be enough or does it have to be a mechanic? thanx
Have you tried oiling the mechanism? It does indeed sound like a bad motor, but before you spend a fortune on a new one, try oiling it first.
Q: Qingdao Xinhong car lift quality is good
It should be very good, do car lift machine
Q: HA. We all know these things don‘t work. It‘s all in the mind. (Placebo effect)
Run out into the road and try to stop a car with your new-found powers.
