5.FAQ
1.Q: What about leadtime ?
A: Normally the leadtime is 60days after we receive the deposit and confirm the details. All the press machines we use is the best quality in China Yangli brand. The press machine leadtime from Yangli is 50days, the best leadtime we can give is 60days.
2.Q: What's the lead time for moulds?
A: Normally the mould leadtime is 45 days after we confirm all the details with customer. Our professional mechanical enginners from Austria will design the mould according to the samples from customer, or by the specifications offered by customers.
3.Q:What kinds of mould you can make? and what is your strong point for the moulds?
A: we can make wrinkle wall mould and smooth wall mould both. For wrinkle wall mould we can make, 79" pan, fish pan, bbq pan. For smooth wall mould we can make muffin cup, and cake cup, tar cup, etc. We can also make 2 or 3 portion conatiner moulds as long as you offer us sample or specifications. Our strong points are all our moulds are WEDMLS cut, which makes the mould more accurate and precise. Important materials likestainless steel parts we make in Austria. We also recut after heat treatment, which most of makers do not take this process..
- Q: I've created a sculpture out of aluminum foil, but it's pretty flimsy. What can I paint or cover it with that would harden and support it? I was thinking a resin or something, but I have no experience with resins or epoxies... Any suggestions?
- you can use more aluminum and add layers to it. It would depend on the shape and size what is the best, but yes, you could use fiberglass and resin - as long as it is not so flimsy that the weight of the additional material will already distort it. If you just use resin that could work as long as it is reasonably flat, as the resin will run, but you could paint a number of thin coats on. Depending how it looks you could also use something like bondo which is car repair putty which is resin based. It might be easier to work with as it is thicker and it can be carved/sanded easily. Though you need to use it outside or with very good ventilation before it is set.
- Q: What is the coefficient of thermal expansion of aluminum sheets?
- The coefficient of thermal expansion of aluminum sheets is typically around 23 x 10^-6 per degree Celsius.
- Q: I had this mandarin orange can. I filled the can with water. Four days later, there are quarter inch thick rust cakes on the inside of the can. Since I assume the can is aluminum, are these cakes aluminum oxide? If so, is it flammable and/or dangerous?
- Mandarin orange cans are not generally made of aluminum. Most likely, it is steel with a tin coating on it. Aluminum oxide does not turn red, most likely this is iron oxide, otherwise known as rust metal oxides are not flamable. Heavy metals are hazardoues (lead, lead oxide...), but iron oxide is not, in fact, it's important to have iron in your diet, it is what makes your blood work! Astrobuf
- Q: What is the width and length of the aluminum sheets?
- Depending on the specific product or manufacturer, the aluminum sheets' width and length may differ. To obtain accurate measurements, it is advisable to consult the product specifications or get in touch with the manufacturer.
- Q: Can the aluminum sheets be used for manufacturing automotive wheels?
- Yes, aluminum sheets can be used for manufacturing automotive wheels. Aluminum is a lightweight and durable material that is commonly used in the automotive industry due to its high strength-to-weight ratio. Aluminum sheets can be formed and machined into the desired shape and specifications required for automotive wheels. Additionally, aluminum has excellent corrosion resistance properties, which is beneficial for automotive wheels that are exposed to various weather conditions and road debris. Overall, aluminum sheets are a suitable material for manufacturing automotive wheels, providing a balance of strength, weight, and corrosion resistance.
- Q: What specific requirements or considerations are necessary when using aluminum sheets in marine environments?
-
In marine environments, aluminum sheets must meet specific requirements to ensure durability and resistance to corrosion. These include using high-grade aluminum alloys, such as 5083 or 5086, known for their excellent resistance to saltwater corrosion. Protective coatings like anodizing or applying marine-grade paints can further enhance corrosion resistance. Additionally, the aluminum sheets should be designed to withstand the harsh conditions of marine environments, including high humidity, UV radiation, and mechanical stress. Regular maintenance and inspection are also crucial to prevent corrosion and ensure the longevity of aluminum structures in marine settings.

- Q: Can aluminum sheet be used for chemical processing?
- Yes, aluminum sheet can be used for chemical processing. Aluminum is a versatile and corrosion-resistant material that is widely used in various industries including chemical processing. It is known for its excellent resistance to many chemicals, such as acids, alkalis, and salts. This makes it suitable for applications where exposure to corrosive substances is common. Additionally, aluminum is lightweight, durable, and has good thermal conductivity, making it an ideal choice for heat transfer and energy-efficient processes in chemical industries. However, it is important to consider the specific chemical environment and consult with experts to ensure the compatibility of aluminum with the particular chemicals and conditions involved in the process.
- Q: What specific coatings or treatments are required for aluminum sheets to enhance their properties or protect them?
-
Special coatings or treatments for aluminum sheets may be needed depending on the application. Anodizing is a common treatment that enhances corrosion resistance and wear. For aesthetic purposes, aluminum can be painted or coated with a clear lacquer to maintain its appearance. Protective coatings like powder coating or electroplating can be used to improve durability and resistance to environmental factors. In certain industrial applications, aluminum sheets may be treated with specific coatings to enhance thermal or electrical conductivity. The choice of coating or treatment depends on the specific requirements of the project, such as resistance to weather, chemicals, or mechanical stress.

- Q: This question asks about the various patterns that can be applied to aluminum sheets, which are commonly used in construction, manufacturing, and design.
-
Aluminum sheet patterns are diverse and cater to various applications. Some common types include diamond, checkered, embossed, perforated, and ribbed patterns. Diamond patterns offer a classic look and are slip-resistant, while checkered patterns are often used for flooring due to their traction. Embossed patterns provide a decorative touch and can enhance surface strength. Perforated patterns are used for ventilation, light filtration, and design purposes. Ribbed patterns, also known as corrugated, offer structural strength and are used in roofing and siding applications. Each pattern serves a specific function and aesthetic, making aluminum sheets versatile for many industries.

- Q: Can aluminum sheets be laminated with other materials?
- Yes, aluminum sheets can be laminated with other materials. Lamination is a process where two or more layers of different materials are bonded together to create a composite material with enhanced properties. Aluminum sheets can be laminated with various materials such as plastics, fabrics, papers, or other metals using adhesive bonding or heat and pressure. This lamination process allows for the combination of the desirable characteristics of different materials, resulting in a final product with improved strength, durability, appearance, or specific functionality. Laminated aluminum sheets are commonly used in industries such as construction, automotive, aerospace, and packaging, where the combined properties of the laminated materials offer distinct advantages.
