- Q:when you install a power cable you usually route it through the door seal and under the carpet. If there are existing speaker wires that go to your rear speakers, will the power cable create an interference?
- I have my power wire and speaker wires touching each other under my carpet. no interference at all. I'll say that it may be possible, I have just never experienced it. So I would say that it won't interfere with your speaker wires. Actually I have my power wire, all speaker wires, and the Remote wire right next to each other. no problems at all.
- Q:How can we manage power (voltage ) loss in the long distance if elcetricity is fed along with the cable?
- The repeaters use copper wire bundled together with the fiber optic to power the repeaters, the voltage drop is managed with an engineered choice of voltage and current. Each cable has a different combination to suite the particular distance. And each cable would be tailored for the individual application.
- Q:I have a Dell Latitude D505. I do not need comments on whether I have a good laptop or not. That's not the point.I heard a tiny pop sound, and after that, my laptop is not recognizing the power cable. I don't think it's the cable. I've tried restarting the computer. Any suggestions?
- Does it runn off the battery with the cable unplugged? Does it run plugged in with the battery removed? Popping sounds are bad, you laptop may need professional attention.
- Q:Only answer if you know it works with my kind of laptop, because If I order it and it isnt, i may have to end you. :D. I mean it in a nice way.
- If you don't already have an OKorder account, you should get one - it opens up a whole world of bargains. Just make sure you buy from a seller with a 99% or better rating and over 100 sales. I have never had any problem as long as I have followed those guidelines. Good luck!
- Q:What type of plastic is a power cable made of? Thanks.?
- Power cable isn't made of plastic, it is copper or aluminum covered with PE, PVC, or PTFE plastic.
- Q:Why is my 2 Gage power cable from the battery to my amp is to hot and makes a big spark and burns the wire when you meet one end to the other end?
- Too hot means the current is very high. Probably in excess of 200 amps. I suspect there is a short in the amp, specially if you tried to connect it hot and drew a spark. That will kill a lot of electronics. .
- Q:UPGRADING BIG 3. ARE THOSE TWO CABLES THE SAME THING ? DOES IT MATTER WHICH ONE I USE FOR THE BIG 3 UPGRADE?
- The wire is the same, just different color so you dont confuse yourself when installing. You'll actually have to upgrade BOTH wires to properly do the big 3. 1. + Batt to + Alternator output post 2. - Batt to frame/chassis 3. frame/chassis to engine block 4. (For extra) engine block to - Batt All in at least 0 awg gauge wire. I've done my in 0/2 awg gauge welding cables.
- Q:does anyone know a website that has like a chart with pictures of the different power supply connectors and where in the desktop computer they go all I know is the 24 pin goes to the motherboard and the 6 pin goes to my graphics card
- in case you're blowing 13amp fuses then you definately've a defective PSU. It desires repairing or changing. EDIT: Makes somewhat extra experience now. might no longer be PSU that's defective it would purely be doing that's job and closing down because of the fact something on board is overloading it (defective). in case you're no longer skilled this is suited which you have it regarded at via expert. or you could attempt to coach one way or yet another whether this is PSU or no longer. Like disconnecting some factors separately, to any extent further HDD or photos card etc. the least complicated attempt of coarse is to aim yet another PSU. purely some techniques for you, yet as I say if no longer skilled suited go away to specialists. - Q:I bought this graphics card tonight, and went to install it on my new Dell PC and while the card itself is powered by a 6-pin, I don't have one on my power supply. Is there an adapter I can use? Or will I have to go buy a new power supply for a NEW computer..?
- Depends - what are your system specs? Impossible for people to help you when we don't even know what hardware you're running. Don't ruin your new graphics card by putting it ; 1. On a power supply without enough wattage to handle it, and 2. On a power supply that didn't come with cables for a graphics card. Chances are you should invest in a bigger power supply. I would recommend at least 550w for a GTX550Ti. I recommend Corsair and XFX power supplies, as well as Seasonic.
- Q:How do I get it not to do that? Its really annoying. Whenever I remove the charger cable , the screen gets really dark. It seems like an actual function and not a defect, but is their a way to toggle it on and off?
- Thats how its made. Laptops dim screens to save battery power. To override the setting, look for a picture of the Sun on the middle-top of your keyboard. Sometimes its Blue. Once you find it, look at the bottom left of your keyboard for a FN (function) button. While holding the FN button, tap a few times at the sun button. Your screen should now be bright ;) Make sure you do this with the power unplugged, enjoy.
