- Q: The circle thing on the end of the amp power cable wont fit onto my battery, so idk what to do, should i strip the wire and connect it to my battery like that or should i cut the circle thing (i really dont know what the hell its called) to the point where it will fit around my battery
- get another terminal for it for best results and less hassle :)
- Q: Okay after installing Deus Ex on a brand new PS3 slim I pressed the start button and when the screen went black the console hanged, I couldn't even press the PS button, at the suggestion of a friend I yanked the power cable. Now it works fine but I'm wary of putting Deus Ex back in, I doubt that its regioning since there's no such thing. Any ideas and troubleshooting solutions?BTW what are the consequences to yanking the power cable.
- If pulling the power cord was the *only* way to turn it off, that's ok, you just don't want to do it frequently. As for the game itself, the only thing I can think of is to make sure other games work. If so, then something about the game itself is causing the fault, but not sure what. If anything, I would say contact Sony for assistance in that regard.
- Q: I have my old 350 power supply cable but i got a new 520 one. do i have to use the defuly 520 power suppl cable? i use my old cabbke
- The cable merely supplies the power to the PSU. You're confusing the wattage of the PSU (350/520W) with the supply voltage (110/120/240v). The cable will work perfectly with either one?
- Q: I would like to buy a replacement. What AC/DC adaptor should I buy? Should I buy the exact same model (FSP150-AAA)? I assume any AC/DC adaptor that has the same spec is ok but I am not sure what is the key for the spec. Any advice would be appreciated.
- There appear to be various manufacturers of FSP150-AAA power supplies. You must have a substantial laptop or whatever that is powering. Most laptops have 65 to 90 watt PSU, my gaming laptop is 120 watt, and FSP150-AAA is 150 watt. Or is that an all-in-one PC where the computer is built into a screen? The one you link to is one of the ones I found in a web search.
- Q: Will it work if I put a pigtail (connect the wires by twisting them together) or does that stop it from working properly..
- It is possible to reconnect a severed cable... but unless you know what you are doing and have the special tools and parts to make a proper splice, I would not attempt to do so. The current passing through the laptop transformer is pretty high voltage stuff. If you should happen to cross-connect or develop a short across your splice, you could get a nasty shock, fry your computer or even start a fire. Electricity can be tricky stuff. Make sure you know what you are doing or you, your computer or the both of you could end up in a very bad way. In the long run, you're much better off simply buying a new replacement power supply. Good luck! ***ADDITIONAL*** If the battery light is constantly blinking, the battery in the computer could be dead as well (not surprising given the state of the charger). You probably need to replace both the battery and the charger.
- Q: It's not the original power cable but it's going to my current DVR.
- The cable will work just fine.
- Q: I only see the power supply (with a cable to connect to the laptop), but I don't see the AC cable. In the specs it only says quot;Cables Included: 1x Power cable - 3 ft.quot;I want to know if it includes the whole charger, or just the power supply to connect to laptop.
- It includes the whole cable and adapter
- Q: Can anyone explain where I need to plug in the 6-pin cable for my ATI Radeon 1650 Pro graphics card? Or any pictures/diagrams? Thanks!
- Is it the AGP model or the PCI-e model? You don't need a separate power cable for an AGP card. The 4 pin and 6 pin power connectors on the newer motherboards are for PCI-e video cards. Do you even have an AGP slot? If so, then I doubt your motherboard even has a 4pin or 6pin SLI power connector. Just plug the card into your AGP slot and that's it. If it's the PCI-e model, then see if your MB even has a 4pin or 6pin SLI power connection on it. If so then see if your power supply has a 4pin or 6pin power cable and plug it into that slot. Depending on the power supply, you may not even need the extra power connect unless you are running 2 SLI cards at once.
- Q: Honda Accord Executive on a 56' reg car.Fitting help much appreciated.
- Probably not easy but if ya find the hole in the firewall underneath ya dash somewhere than just poke it through there and run it underneath ya carpet. After that u'll just be able to find ya way into the boot with no problem. I like running the power cable down the centre of the car but that can sometimes be more of a hassle than its worth, so along the side of ur seat is cool.
- Q: types of computer cables and where they are being used?
- For communication between devices in the computer, such as the hard drive and the motherboard, either IDE or SATA cables are used. For power, Its either a 3 or 4-pin power connector, though some things have two pins (like fan connections to the mother board). Also, the SATA devices use SATA power cables.
