- Q: eSata means you connect the drive from outside the case. If so, what kind of cable do you use for power, assuming you're not opening up the case to use the regular molex connectors?
- I use an external sata for backup with a usb cable converter the power comes from the usb cable, esata I suspect would be similar unless you are hooking it up with arj45 or something?
- Q: What is the installation of the power cable protection grounding box and the direct grounding box?
- You can shop on the ground floor of a layer of waterproof carpet (that is, the rural common 'kang seats'), the wire shop in the following, at the desk to stay a outlet hole, and the jack or electrical connection. Carpet can be bought in the hardware building materials store, as the traces of tape, you can go to the big supermarket to buy a special scrub, ask the salesman on the line. Wish you the best at work
- Q: Hi,1) Is spinning down of hard disk same as removing the power cable of the hard disk ? 2) Will the IDE cable connected carry power to the hard disk when the power cable is removed ?3) How do we spin down the hard disk manually ?
- 1) When you unplug the power cable, it spins down, because there is no power. In order to read data from the hard disk it needs to be spinning. When it is not spinning, you cannot read data from it. Some power saving systems will allow you set the hard drives to spin down after a long time that it has not been used, to conserve power. After that, to read from the disk it needs to be spun up, and that takes a few seconds. 2)No. 3) You cannot manually spin a hard disk, it spins at 7200 (some models 5400) rpm. That's VERY fast.
- Q: Do you need to use both the 6 pin PCI-E power cable and the 8 pin PCI-E power cable on a video card? Why are they used? To give power to the video card if needed? Seems like the motherboard gives the card power as well?
- if the graphics card has an 6-pin power connector and an 8-pin connector then u need to use the 6-pin and the 8-pin power cable from your power supply.most power supplies (especially those that supply 500 watts of power to your cpu and all the peripherals) in the market right now have at least one connector for each type (6-pin and 8-pin).usually the most high-end power supplies now (like the Ultra X4 series) have more than 1 for each type.right now the most high-end power supplies from my perspective is the 1600W power supply from the Ultra X4 series.it has 3 6-pin power connectors and 3 for the 8-pin power connector. and ya the 6- and 8-pin power connector is the bridge for the power supply to transport power to the component. nope.the motherboard is a selfish guy.it doesnt give power to the graphics card unless the graphics card doesn't take a lot of wattage to work then the motherboard will donate power to the graphics card.
- Q: I dont get any power to my amp. If something is pinching the line could that make it not get any power? Or could there be something else wrong?
- My first guess would be a blown fuse. But a kink in the cables could do it by breaking the metal strand inside, although wires will usually bend quite a bit before this happens. When it does happen it is usually right at the connection.
- Q: Hi,I have just bought a jasper xbox and i know this as it says ''12V, 12,1A'' on the back yet my power cable says ''12V, 16,5A''.I thought that the jasper xbox requires a specific power connector which wont fit the other types. Mine seems to fit fine, so have i got something wrong here? Cheers
- i don't know if somethings wrong with your xbox or power brick but i can tell u tho, if u use a Xenon power brick (12V,16,5A) on a jasper xbox u will run into a problem later on, for it will overheat and the CPU and GPU will warp and pull there self away from the motherboard, if u have ever heard of the towel trick( wrapping your xbox in a towel so it will overheat and the solder will pool up and re-solder the CPU/GPU back in place) that's where it come from, i would buy a jasper power brick if i were u (12V, 12,1A).
- Q: My power supply (tagan 1100w) has an 8pin m/b power cable but the PCIe one looks cooler.
- yes you have ues it
- Q: It's not the original power cable but it's going to my current DVR.
- The cable will work just fine.
- Q: we need to feed power of 60kW to island villa
- the current will be about 87 Amps. You can use 3ph,4 or3 1/2 core, 400V,35 sq mm copper marine cable
- Q: on a 600 watt amp will it blow my amp?
- No. It's just a cable. Plus, there is no such thing as a 1200 watt power cable. Cable is measured in terms of gauge. I'm guessing you're using a 4 or 6 gauge, but no, you can never have too big a cable, only too small.
