- Q:I have a monitor which has a input rating of 100-240V and a 1.5A current. But I have a cable which gives out 250V and a 10A current.... The cable plugs into my monitor with no problem and it turns on just fine. But is it fine?
- Yes its fine. Your monitor draws maximum of 1.5A current. And you say your cable can bear 10A current.
- Q:what can i do so i can use my DL burner on my new pc?
- EIDE (Enhanced IDE) is no longer a standard on most computers which uses SATA. In turn, they also use different power connections. The channel cable is dependent on the mother board, but the power supply is dependent on the power box. If there is an IDE channel, but no power cable, you have only two options. 1. Buy a new SATA based drive. 2. But a new power supply. Buying a new power supply to replace the one you have is definitely a void of warranty. You are much better off with a new drive.
- Q:One of my ottocinclus is munching on a little brown algae that's on the aquarium heater's power cable. Not dangerous, I guess? I don't think they can actually bite through it and expose the wire...?
- No it isn't dangerous at all. He will be fine. I love otos. They are so darn cute.
- Q:I have my Clearwire modem but have lost the power cable. Does anyone know what I would look for in a replacement power cable.
- check the Clearwire URL .. Support tab
- Q:I am trying to hook up a LCD display (CPU Temp, USB's in use, Memory Temp/usage, etc) and It came with a 5pin DIN connector for what I assume is the power. I am not sure what I need to do to connect it to the PSU. Any help or ideas?
- I think this device should have a power connector as well as a sensor cable (USB in use should have a connector running on to your motherboard.) can you provide me the make/mode number of the equipment. Also provide me with a link so that i could see the connectors and wires and the device. Else take a pic, upload it some image hosting site and provide with a link. (you can edit your question or add additional info and provide a link. Replace the
- Q:What kind of material does the power cable accessory contain?
- When the short circuit occurs when the wire through a large current, more than the rated current of the wire, so the wire will heat
- Q:Hello, I am looking to purchase a single power connector for 5 hard drives. I have a modular 1200W power supply, and all i can find on website is these single power connecters that do not even look like they will connect to my power supply. My computer came with power connectors for 4 hard drives in single cables. I do not want to waste another Power supply slot for just 1 more hard drive. Can anybody tell me how to search for this? Thank you.
- exactly what PSU do you have? I am sure if it's a nice modular PSU you can always contact the manufacturer and order some extra modular cables that fit the drive type you are looking for (just make sure the cables you do have will fit into those sockets - they should). I am surprised a 1.2KW PSU didn't come with connectors for 12 hard drives or more. the reason why there's only 4 on one is because that's all the power that channel can handle. you shouldn't overload it. calculate the load for one channel (V*A=W) using hard drive or device power specs, and IF you think there's enough extra power for one more, then stick a splitter on a connector if one is available. it's best to leave some extra Amperage headroom. if you don't want to go through the load calculations, or can't, then just use another cable. but don't simply use a splitter because it's available. you will have to look at PSU rails specs to see what each rail can handle for those modular connectors. try simply looking at the 12V and 5V alone or just the 12V.
- Q:i bought a car from some guy..he had 2 amps but he took out one...he had the power cable running from one amp to the other. i just recently bought another amp and i was wondering if its safe to do this.he said it was working fine..he was powering 2 10 subwoofers..thats what im planning to do
- its safe but its better to run 2 separate wires due to you are wanting to use more power and one wire has a max load that it can handle...you run 2 and you will have more power to each amp
- Q:I left my power cable at my cabin, which is a few hours away. I don't want to replace the cable (I'll be going back anyway in a few days), but I need to use my laptop. So far I've tried an old laptop cable, but its to big, and a game system adapter, but it doesn't have enough power. Are there any solutions that don't involve me buying a new cable?
- Do NOT play guessing games with this. If you use one of a higher rating or worse with reverse polarity input you will totally destroy the laptop.
- Q:Hey and just to start off with, your answer will be deeply appreciated, thanks..... Its about my PS3, when I was flying to Lebanon (which I am in now) my PS3 power cable got taken and thrown away by the airport officials the second time my bag was scanned.....so now I can't play any games because of this, it sucks goat balls, I know but my question is.... Where can I find another power cable..... P.S, my console was bought in Canada so the voltage was 120v I think but it was misbehaving when I used it with the converter I bought so I tried using without it and it worked like a charm on 240v, if that helps.... if there are any details I have missed out, my e-mail address is .uk
