Q: Its on power and one is in a pc monitor and one is lying on the ground. Will the electricity go through the cable that is not connected and lying on the ground? is this safe to touch with hands or shoes?
Pasting the reply I gave to the other (deleted) question: Assuming these are the IEC-standard power cables I'm thinking of, yes and no respectively. Electricity will be able to reach both ends, but the plastic insulation at the end of these connectors should disallow any contact between you and the live pins. You may want to consider covering it up in non-conductive electrical tape, though, just to be sure no debris get in causing it to go live outside of the connector.
Q: I am thinking about buying a hard drive and a SATA to eSATA cable to get more space to store things but I dont know whether or not the eSATA cable supplies power to the hard drive like a USB port. Do I have to buy a power cable for the hard drive or will it work without one?
eSATA connectors cannot supply power, require a power supply for the external device. eSATAp (but mechanically incompatible, sometimes called eSATA/USB) connector adds power to an external SATA connection, so that an additional power supply is not needed.
Q: Why is an aluminium and iron mixture used for power cables ?Please could I have a detailed answer, as detailed as you can make it.Thankyou x
The cables have some few steel wires for strength, and many aluminum ones to carry the current. THey use aluminum instead of copper because it is a lot cheaper and much lighter.
Q: We found a flat screen HD monitor in someone's trash can and we just need to find the cables. I searched online for cables for this model and can't find any. I just need the power cable for it and the DVI cable.
Check at Office Depot and Best Buy.
Q: My friend I were going to play his second Xbox 360 n his living room. Went to turn it on and the RROD turned up with three lights. So we took this one and hooked it up to the cables in his room. And guess what? No RROD... So, I am lead to belive that the Xbox 360's power cable is the one that causes the RROD. Only problem is that most people can' test this due to not having a second power cable. So post your ideas about this idea. Could Microsoft be lying to us by saying that the malfunction is inside there console. I'm only 14 and i figured this out. So, how is it that no one else has??
RROD is just a general malfunction not always the fatal and well known one the power supply cord being to loose is definitely a cause (its happened to me) several other general malfunctions could occur from one boot to the next and no microsoft isn't lying about that why would they
Q: My friend gave me a PS2 as a gift of Friendship but it was missing a cable. And that cable was the power cable. He told me I can use a power cable that some radios use, and it will be the same. Although I have doubts. I think I have like 2 radios out back so I'm wondering if they actually DO work. I'm going to attempt this tomorrow so I need a answer ASAP and please don't make it a simple answer, include some detail if possible. Like what exactly is the Power Cable I need so I can take a look at the Radio's power cable to see if its the right one. I'm unfamiliar with the Power Cable actually because I haven't seen a PS2 in almost 4 years since I got my PS3.

Q: Hello, i have a quick question, this card doesn't need PCI cables right? My power supply is 450 wattNVIDIA GTX 750 TI is the cardThank you
My GTX 750 Ti OC 2GB card does not need cables--all power goes through the motherboard to it.
Q: I don't know what to do. I bought a monitor from someone on OKorder over a month ago. He said the person who packaged the monitor accidentally put my cables in the box with another monitor he sold to someone else. For a month now he's been quot;trying to find a solution. He said he looked at electronics stores, but never found anything. I already paid a lot for the monitor, and can't afford to buy the cables again. (because I already bought them with the monitor from this guy...)WHAT CAN I DO?
Demand a refund and buy another monitor with cables...
Q: I tried looking up the the model # and a couple of sites that would sell it but cant find any. Also the player is like 2 years old so hard to find anything about it.
9v is what's called the 'nominal' value, or typical value. Input voltage can dip as much as 20% which would drop 9v down to 7.2v, but is still enough to operate. (If you only supplied a nominal 7.2v, and line voltage dipped 20%, you'd be left with only 5.8v trying to operate a 7.2v system. Not enough.) Basically, every electronic device contains a voltage regulator. Anything more than the minimum is shunted away, but if the input drops, then there is still enough to maintain the minimum voltage necessary to run. But you still need a nominal value higher than the minimum to make sure there's always plenty, no matter what happens.
Q: in my efforts to make everything as simplified as possible (lazy) im looking for a 25' or longer sata cable (also if there is an extension to the power cord thats used to power a cd drive in a desktop) trying to mount the cd drive all the way on the other side of the room (5ft away lol) so that i dont have to get up to change dvds. id mount it to the dvd shelf which is next to the sofa.
No go: What is the maximum length of a SATA data cable? 1m for SATA I, 2m for SATA II The exercise will be good for you. Maybe you have a wife, or a sister?
