Q: I wanted to know where I could find a reliable retailer where I can get a LG CU400 data cable and software. I would like to be able to take my MP3's and put them on my phone, but don't want software that will screw up my phone and/or computer! Thanks in advance! ?
I got the CU500 from LG and I got the data cable off of OKorder with the phone software way cheaper then they wanted on LG's website check them out One thing I can't stand about the phone I have is the made sure you needed to get all the accessories from LG as it isn't standard stuff like a different USB cable, even a different Headphone jack as it it's like a half a centimeter smaller.
Q: how come when I plugged my data cable in to transfer my pictures off my phone to the computer only some of the pics went through, If I move them to my memory card, will it work then?
Yes your PC will not show the pics on the phones memory unless you move them to the memory card OR to access the phone memory you'll need to have the PC sync software installed!
Q: i borrowed a nokia data cable that belongs to an N70 and am using it on my Nokia 6230i. it seems to work fine. but im worried that there it may cause some complications in the long run. i mostly use the cable establish GPRS internet connectivity. do u think there will be a problem in the long run. i checked the nokia site and they say that this cable is not compatible with the 6230i.
NO
Q: I don't know if my mom did something but sometimes when i press info to see whats on and what is going to be on next (i have time warner cable) it says no program data. on every chanel! lol i have no idea how to fix this.
Unplug your cable box for 5 minutes to reset the systemthen you NEED to provide power to your cable box 24/7if you don't, then it can't download the program guide and keep it stored.
Q: I need to connect two laptops with a communications cable to transfer data between them. I had backed up all the data one from one computer to the other, by linking them them with a communications cable (i don't know if it is a croosover cable or anything). It had worked, and i had copied data by browsing the computer through the other one. But know i can't figure out which ip address i had given each and blablabla. I need to connect them successfully and transfer data. THe computers both have xp, one has home edition, other professional. please help.
Go into your Network Connections folder. Click on Setup a new Connection and the New Connection Wizard will appear. On the first page you are asked what you wish to do, select the option of an advanced connection. Follow the pages and ensure that the Workgroup is the same for each system, and that the computer names are different. Do the same on the second computer and you will soon have a connection between the two computers where you can share data and printers if you wish to do that too. It is all very simple and easy to do when you use the Wizard. You will eventually come to a page which asks if it is a virtual private network, select no. The next page asks who will be able to connect to the computer, select the account you wish to use on the other computer for file transfers. Finish up will each page it is pretty self explanatory. You can delete this connection at any time. Just right click on the connection in the Network Connections folder and select the option to delete the connection. You may need to disable the connection first. If the delete option is grayed out, select disable, then right click again and now select delete. Good luck and much success in getting your two systems communicating with each other. It is really not difficult, as you can create as many network connections as you like. It is a good idea to name each connection a descriptive name in order to easily tell which is which at a glance.
Q: i am trying to backup my data from blackberry torch 9800 to my PC. i bought a USB cable from walmart which is good for smart phones to charge them. i am using that cable and blackberry desktop manager. but when i connect my phone with laptop using that cable it starts charging but desktop manager does not recognize my phone and it still says connect you phone. also when i connect my phone using that cable i dont see any options on my phone like 1. charge. 2. mass storage etc. or any other options. what do you think, i am using a wrong cable? or i need to do some settings in my phone?
Its the wrong cable. You need a data cable for blackberry not a charging cable. Data won't go over a charging cable. It should say charging or usb when you connect. You need a bb data cable.
Q: Hi all. I'm looking for some advice regarding starting a new career in data cabling. I read a little while ago about a skills shortage in network cabling and I was wondering about how I could gain these skills. I have no idea about which direction and what possible type of jobs I could get, so any suggestions or a nudge in the right direction is greatly appreciated. I've worked in telecoms previously and I loved the job, but I'm currently working as a software developer and hate being stuck behind a desk for 8 hours a day and I'm desperately looking for a fresh start. Thanks to all.

Q: I use Comcast High Speed and the cable modem is hooked up to a Wireless B router. The typical Comcast download data rate is 3-5 Mbps (I think). The upload data rate is probably much lower. Let's say my cable modem operates at 3 Mbps all the time. And, my Wireless B router has the typical throughput of 4.5 Mbps (according to Wiki). Will the router be dragged down to the 3 Mbps level? With the Cable Modem as the bottleneck for transmissions, is an investment in Wireless G or N a waste of money?
Technically yes, it would be. However have you tried going directly from the Comcast modem to your PC and testing the speed? I had an older D-Link Router that was chopping my speed almost in half even though it's throughput is supposed to be higher that what it was allowing through. I just upgraded to a Wireless N Router (even though all my devices are G) and I am now getting the same speed Wirelessly as I am through the ethernet.
Q: I am purchasing a nokia6682 cell phone. I need a datacable to transfer the TALKS program from my computer onto the phone. There are two data cables that work with the nokia6682. I can't find out what the difference is between them. they are:ca-53 USB data cable for nokia 6682 with CD.OEM USB data cable BKU-BKU2 for nokia6682 The OEM is more expensive, but does not have a CD with it.Help is appreciated!!!

Q: Hi,Recently I got Forza 3 and played it on my friends hard drive. We got really far and want to transferr the memory from his hard drive to mine. I do have a xbox 360 memory card, is it possible to use that. And say i don't find that memory card, what do i do?
Well if you find your memory card, just plug in your memory card to his 360, then load the save file from his hard drive then save it again to your memory card. Other wise there is no other way :( That I know of at least unless you have a modded 360 that can use flash drives :P
