- Q: I'm making a project for class and I bought a 10 Inch long 5mm thick aluminum/metal, How do you cut it WITHOUT large machinery? is there any power tools adapters or tools that can do this job without a problem? Here is what I have to do:*Cut the metal into ~1x1 and 2X2inch squares*Somehow shave a circle about 2mm deep without going trough the 5mm aluminum (Shaded gray)*Drill a hole right through the 5mm (right in the center)*Drill screw holes on each cornerI provided a really basic pic of what I'm trying to dohttp://img204.imageshack.us/img204/487/77845398.pngRED=backgroundGRAY=drilled 2mm deep WITHOUT GOING THROUGHRED HOLES=screw holes with threadsPlz help need to finish this by friday!PS: Screw holes, and other sizes don't matter right now I'm just trying to figure out what tools/tool adapters I need thanks!
- If you have access to a table saw, mount the blade in backwards and then cut the aluminum. But I would cut it down to the correct size last. The extra length gives you a handle to use for the other operations. Regular hand or power tools will work. Get VERY coarse blades. The fewer teeth per inch, the better. Aluminum really clogs up toothed blades/cutting tools. For the 2mm deep recess, a regular spade bit should work and will drill a hole in the center for you. But if this is for a metal shop course, you should have all of the proper tools to do the job correctly. The methods I gave is if you don't have access to the proper equipment.
- Q: The diameter of a hole drilled through aluminum at 22°C is 7.50 mm. Find the diameter and the area of the hole at 89°C.
- If i was once you, i might depart a small 1cm gap on the high and cover it with mesh - these round ones don't appear to allow a lot air flow in any respect in my viv and i have three... I have a tendency to simply leave the glass open a bit of at both aspect. You'll have got to use a great mesh although to stop bugs escaping via it. BTW - i think you will have to make it slightly deeper... 1.5 at least in case you are maintaining reps a good way to grow to 12inch plus.
- Q: This question asks for methods to determine the thickness of aluminum sheets.
-
To measure the thickness of aluminum sheets, you can use various methods including mechanical thickness gauges, ultrasonic thickness gauges, or calipers. Mechanical gauges are simple and involve sliding a foot along the sheet until it bottoms out on both sides. Ultrasonic thickness gauges use sound waves to measure thickness and are non-destructive, providing accurate measurements. Calipers can also be used for manual measurement, though they may be less precise for very thin sheets. Always ensure the measuring device is calibrated and suitable for the material and thickness range of the aluminum sheet in question.

- Q: This question asks for the steps or methods required to install aluminum sheets on a rooftop.
-
To install aluminum sheets on a roof, follow these steps: 1. Inspect the roof structure for any damage and ensure it can support the weight of the aluminum sheets. 2. Measure and cut the aluminum sheets to the required size using a metal saw. 3. Attach a drip edge to the eaves to prevent water from seeping under the sheets. 4. Lay the first sheet horizontally on the roof, starting from the bottom edge, and secure it with roofing nails. 5. Overlap the subsequent sheets by about 1-2 inches and fasten them with nails, ensuring a watertight seal. 6. Install flashing around vents, chimneys, and other roof projections to prevent leaks. 7. Seal all seams and fasteners with a high-quality sealant to ensure a weathertight installation. 8. Inspect the installation for any gaps or leaks and make necessary adjustments.
