- Q: Whether the weight of the power cable per meter is calculated

- Q: Hi, my old laptop has broken: when i try to put the power cable into the socket on the laptop, it only goes in on a certain angle and never stays there even when taped, so its impossible to get the laptop on for more than a few seconds. I've tried different power cables too, and nothing seems to work, so it must be the actual laptop problem... how can I get the laptop to stay on to retrieve some photos that I have got on there? Thanks
- I would remove the hard drive.Take the hard drive and your new computer to an electronics store and buy a USB crossover adapter plug. That should allow you to hook the old hard drive to your new computer. It would be like have an external hard drive. I did it a few years ago. I was told recently that the newer computers are not compatable that way. Also, if you have different operating systems the new computer may not be able to read the old hard drive. The other option is to have the power supply socket repaired. Some small independant repair shops can fix the problem relatively easy and cheap.
- Q: I have an ASUS G1SN-X1 and my laptop was working normally while plugged in. Then all of a sudden it stopped charging the battery. After it stopped charging the laptop was running off the remaining battery power. The battery eventually runs out of juice but now i can't turn on my laptop because the power cord won't charge even though the power indicator light is on on the power cord supply. I even took out the battery and just left it plugged in but still wouldn't turn on. Any suggestions on what the problem could be and how to solve it?
- Seems to be a short circuit. This is a common problem with Laptops, including Asus Laptops. I've had Dells, Asus, Lenovo, and HP laptops and each laptop's power cord has broken at least once. Unfortunately, you're out of luck. You will need to buy a new power cord, which could run you anywhere from $15-60, depending on the vendor

- white is often you impartial conductor. eco-friendly is often the equipment grounding conductor. black is a warm conductor. i think of the bare wrap is an equipment grounding conductor for the twine. that is there incase somebody have been to place a screw or puncture the cable in some incorrect way. a screw penetrating the twine might hit the bare first, then it would hit the nice and snug twine. the bare safeguard might carry the present each and all of the some time past to the panel and holiday the breaker rather of the present dealing with your physique.
- Q: Hi I purchased a Sony Bluray optical drive from Ebuyer (bad move),The drive showed up in a tackie box with no cables included, manuals etc. I plugged in a SATA cable in to the back but its not powering up, there is a slot for another connection but with no cables enclosed I am I right in saying the SATA cable should power the drive up as well?
- SATA data cables do not provide power you will need to plug in a proper SATA power cable. If your power supply does not have the proper connection you will need to get a Molex to SATA adapter. Here is the adapter you will need bit.ly/m5P4SW
- Q: At the end of every work day I shut it down in the normal way (through the Start Menu) and then every morning I return to it and it won't turn on no matter how many times I press the on button or if I hold it down. The only way I can get the computer to turn back on is to remove the power cable for 10 minutes and then put it back in and hold the on button for about 10 seconds. This is a bit of a pain but also quite worrying as the computer is new.I wonder if my computer is broken or if this is an intentional feature. If so how do I turn it off?It might help to know that even when I have shut it down there is an LED on the back that stays on. In fact it stays on for 5 minutes even if I take the power cable out!I have a Dell Vostro 260S PC. It runs Windows 7 64-bit and the processor is an Intel i3Please help techies.
- It really sounds like a hardware problem, you shouldn't have to unplug from the power supply and plug it back in after ten minutes to get the pc to power on, swap out the power supply and the power cable that hooks to it , also make sure the power cable 24pin cable is in the motherboad good and tight and the option cable 4-8 pin is hook to the motherboard a connector above the cpu if the motherboard has one.
- Q: I don't want to run it under the car, but I can't find a place to run it through the firewall... Do I need to drill a hole?
- Look under the storage compartment on the passengers side. look under the dashboard on the drivers side, locate holes then look on the inside of the cars side skirts you should be able to remove the skirting and lay cable under there.
- Q: I am getting a new gaming computer for Christmas with a 700 watt, 12.5 AMP (I think) power supply. I have two power cords for computers on my shelf, but my dad is worried that a standard power cable won't properly power my computer. Do I need to get a more powerful cable? If so, please send a link to where I can buy one, I have been searching but only found standard ones. Thank you.
- your graphics card is obviously powerful maybe if you power supply is not in properly and not giving the full power it can thus not letting the graphics card run properly? try opening up your case and making sure the power supply if fully connected
