Q: Grr Overstock wont ship here so i had a 8x10 ft rug shipped to my Moms house...from there I was going to pay to have it shipped here to Guam. But no Fedex wouldnt ship it and UPS either the dementions are either too small or too big. =( then i got hopeful bc a neighbor said OKorder ships here. So I got all excited when I found the same exact zebra print rug on OKorder... but of freaking course it cant be ship[ped here....can someone just bring me a dern black and white zebra print rug ? =( I now have island fever.: Cut it into smaller pieces and carry it home yourself then carpet glue or tape it back together. Why not use the local product - Guamanian striped and zoned in black. Why kill yourself over a dumb rug?

Q: cat pissed on my NEW rug as you can tell i'm not happy. I hate to throw it away. That's 400.00 i hate to throw away. I used vinger and soap. pLus i shampooed it. WHat can i do: I just Googled Ashley area rug and noticed that they are made from nylon, one of the points being easy to clean. Can you ask the manufacturer or place you bought it? I'd try just straight white vinegar sponged on and then blotted. I'd then elevate or hang the rug so both sides can air until completely dry. Get a squirt bottle and use it keep the cat off the rug. Q: Carpeting a 1400 sq. ft. office. Price is an issue. I would like to lay them directly on plywood floor (no 1/4quot; underlyment). Will plywood seams show through? Should I even consider laying them without gluing down? Any experience good/bad? And suggested source? I see them on internet for $.66 sq foot for excess inventory. Thanks!: No carpet pad is needed. Carpet tiles have an integral pad built into them to keep the plywood seams from telegraphing thru the carpet. You should adhere them to the floor, and while I agree with the previous answer about quarter turning the tiles, you may want to lay a few out and see how you like it before you stick them down for good. There are many different ways you can position carpet tiles (very versitile). Check out Interface Carpet (yahoo search will give you the website). They have good ideas on installation methods. And 66 cents a sq. ft. is a great price!

Q: The rug will hang on a wall. The major background color is white, so it will need to be cleaned about once a year. How should I clean it?: Any spray adhesive should work, look in the local craft store. For a more finished appearance, rugs and wall hangings should be bound. You can use either a sew on binding or an iron on. To finish without binding, cut canvas at least 3 holes beyond the outside edge of the design, fold to back of rug , match mesh and baste in place. To finish with binding, cut canvas at least 3 holes beyond the outside edge of the design, then cut the corners diagonally about away from the pile. Then with right side facing you, sew one edge of the binding as close as possible the knotted edge. Turn so the back is facing you, then fold back and sew the other edge of the binding to the back of the rug Miter corners and stitch down Finishing a wall hanging: Start at upper corner, sew on binding around both sides and bottom of the rug Then with right side facing you, sew one edge of the binding as close as possible the knotted edge of the top of the rug, turn over so the back is facing you, then sew down making sure you will have enough room to insert a rod or piece of dowel through. Alternatively you can just bind the rug in the normal manner, then to hang, sew on large wooden curtain rings, slide over a wooden rod, add wooden finials to the ends of the rod and hang. As for cleaning, my best advice is take it to a reputable cleaner, tell them what it is made from (type of yarn, etc), and ask if they can clean it with no damage. If you want to try washing it at home, use a good rug upholstery cleaner diluted with water in a bucket, then clean the rug by working a foam with a sponge, then using the foam gently rub into the material. Then dry by gently rubbing with terry cloth (towel). I would test a piece of yarn to make sure it's colorfast, first.

Q: Romantic evening with a few melted candles knocked over, lol. So how do you get dried candle wax out of the carpet?: 2 ways: Put ice in a baggie and place on the wax. When it hardens, scrape it off with a flat knife (not a sharp one). Or: Place a clean cloth on the spot and iron it. The wax will melt and be absorbed into the cloth. I find that this works the best. I spilled candle wax all over a large footstool and you would never know! Really!

Q: We live in a really modern apartment- it was once a warehouse and they developed them into apartments with exposed pipes and such. We just got some couches... they are destressed black so sometimes they look really dark brown in the light, but they are black. We have the original oak floors with all the scrapes and knots in the them. We have dark wood for all of our furniture. We are trying to figure out a color scheme for the living room and more importantly a rug that would go. Any advice would be great! It seems that all the colors we like have brown as the main color in the rug and we weren't sure if that would go.Thanks!: Open and airy can soon become dark and closed in if everything you put into a room is dark. There are plenty of rugs that have brown in them but aren't all brown. If the couches look brown work with that. Here's a link to look at rugs. Q: I have a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer and the dead battery in the back of my car spilled and ate some nice size holes in the carpet. I was wondering if anyone knew the approximate cost of new carpet from the dealership, and how hard it would be for someone to install the carpet themselves?: about $100 for replacement carpeting for the front of mine same year same problem but this was happened in 2003. I installed it myself and I didn't have any problems except cutting it to size since the carpeting they sold me didn't fi quite right. When I traded it in they didn't mention that it looked replaced or knock anything off for it.

I sell high quality rugs and hence the prices are more expensive reflecting the quality. However, many customers can find designs similar to mine on the internet at 1/3 to 1/4 of the price.
