- Q:I have an 07 Altima 3.5SE sedan...I've been noticing when the auto-light feature is turned on, and the vehicle is just turned off, the headlights are on for an excessive period of time.
- In my mini van there is a dial above the headlight switch for this adjustment.
- Q:so the light's on, i had it checked in auto zone, they said it was a small leak, i changed the gas cap, disconnetcted the bateray and put it back on, light's still on. where should i go from here, what else can i check?
- I take it they said the gas cap was leaking. If so, the fault is a gas tank pressure problem. The system usually is made up of charcoal canister, solenoid, and pressure sensor all located near the gas tank. There may also be a solenoid located by the engine. These all work together to collect excess gas fumes and send them back to the tank. If the gas cap didn't fix it, it could be one of the items I mentioned. I would search online with the code you got from AutoZone and see which components your car has. If it indicates the charcoal canister, it might just be the solenoid by the canister (its a lot cheaper). The solenoids tend to go bad after many years because of their exposure to road water, salt, etc.
- Q:I went to work yesterday and when I got into my car the car didn‘t start and everything was shot off. The lights were on and I knew the battery was dead. After this, I got my jumper cables out and tried to jump the car but when I turned the key, the RPM gauge needle went all the way to 8 and dropped to the other side and the whole system shut down. After that, nothing else worked even with the cables connected. It‘s a 1990 Honda Civic and it‘s a fairly new battery. What is the problem and how do I fix it?
- your starter is broken you will have to replace or have it replaced.all of your electrical supply passes through your starter.if it goes out your locks or nothing else will work.batterys seldom go bad all of a sudden.you could take your battery to a parts store and have it tested.auto zone does it for free and so does advance auto if its not your battery then it.is your starter.if you can jump start your car and it runs for a while and then dies your alternator is bad.the alternator recharges the battery as the car is running.if its not working then your car drains the power from your battery.but i say from personell experience if it wont do nothing and you cant jump start it then it is your starter
- Q:Hello, I own 2008 hyundai sonata, white. I bought it base, so now I want to do some changes on it so it can look a bit better. First off I wanted to install new wheels 17, tint my windows, add HID xenon lights and I also wanted to add subwoffers. Wheels and tint windows is number one on my list. I can cancel subs idea. Yes and I was told I have 10 year warranty. Thank you
- None of the items that you have mentioned will void the warranty. Only when you start making modifications to the vehicle that would effect the powertrain or emissions or safety systems would there be a problem. Of course you ar not going to be able to go back to the dealer and have them fix a headlight issue that is caused by your HID conversion or have the finish on your wheels covered under their warranty, but I assume you realize that As far as the wheels go as long as the overall diameter of the 17 is the same as the current tire diameter, there shouldn't be a problem. Besides most warranties don't cover friction material of the brake sytem anyhow. Sounds like you have no worries
- Q:like a basic definition that every auto repair shop does.not meticulous detailed thingsDoes this cover the basics?mechanical brake, tire service, electrical and engine work
- Auto repair shops are Just like the people who own, run , manage, and work in them. They are VERY diverse. One may have a guy who is an absolute genius on one system of a car and not so much on other systems. many are pretty good at the mechanical stuff changing parts like brake pads, normal wear and tear items and not so good at diagnosing a difficult problem. they are an aspect of the people in them. If they are good honest folks, they may not know what is wrong with your car, but be willing to work to find the problem or even recommend someone to take it to. Some shops just won't do electrical system work. some won't mess with tires (flats, balance, etc.) some will only do body work, (hence the term body shop). Most auto shops will or are capable of tune-ups, and maintenance, and general repairs. But on the same hand they will usually recommend someone if it requires a specialist. Transmission shops won't want to fix your dome light, body shop won't want to fix leaking exhaust gasket, etc. To be honest I think the days of a common repair shop are kinda going away. the cost of more and more specialized tools and equipment, Cars of the later models require so much more computer technology, etc. On the same note, shops that are doing work on older cars and older technology are going away to. As that technology is outdated and obsolete. so then you have to start looking for a shop specializing in older models. Every shop is different. and it is hard to say that any one of them is the right place to be when you have a particular problem. Just hope they are honest. There are some shady ones out there. but they usually have a reputation, so go to 2 or 3 and ask about others, and who may be the best for your problem. Good luck.
- Q:Car headlights shade wear how to do?
- For a / not how much money
- Q:What are the common types of car lights, the role of what is the relationship, do not see what kind of relationship
- High Beam Indicator Lamp A high beam indicator that indicates that the headlamp's high beam has been turned on. It usually makes blue light. Its role is to remind the driver in the following circumstances: ① night before opening the light, that has opened the high beam. If the high beam does not light, indicating a fault. ② at night will be the car, to remind the driver to the low beam. ③ leave the car, do not forget to turn off the lights. Turn indicator light and emergency indicator light (Turn-Indicator Lamp and Hazard-Indicator Lamp) Turn indicator light, is that the turn signal has been turned on the light. It consists of left and right arrows with arrows. When turned, the indicator light and turn signal lights at the same time shiny, green light. Left turn, left arrow light; right turn, right arrow light. Its role is to remind the driver: ① turn to turn to turn the signal lights, and the direction of not open the wrong. ② turn turn to turn off the signal lights. ③ When the indicator light flashes quickly, indicating that the side of the turn signal is faulty. - Q:do you have left I think I have a 26 gallon tank I have a 8 foot bed thanks I just don‘t want to run out I know the gauge show you I just wonder how much is left when the light comes on does anyone know by the way its a chevy 1500 if that helps
- I don't think I have ever heard of stainless steel water pipes before except in special conditions like acid or something caustic. Copper is of course the pipes of choice or PVC which have special conditions also. They are cheaper and easier to put in but, I'll stand with copper every time.
- Q:When I try to start my car, the engine doesn‘t even rev, the car just makes kind of an electrical noise and the Theft System light comes on. Does anyone know of a way to fix this?
- If the wiper motor is running but the wipers not sweeping, then your wiper linkage has either popped off it's connector or has broken. This is the weakest link in a wiper system and is easily fixed. In some cars this is a designed in fail safe to protect the wiper motor/gears when the wipers get stuck or frozen.
- Q:What is the peripheral of the car headlamps?
- Car headlamps, is responsible for concentrating the reflective bowl, while the lamp cover (transparent glass or synthetic material) on the Fresnel lens (lines), but also can play the role of adjusting the angle of light.
