Q: Car headlights fog serious, how to do
With a hair dryer to dry, but only useful at the time, the headlamp sealing performance is not good, see the back of the headlamp cover is not required to replace
Q: Ford Expedition, ‘99.What does that mean?My car stutters a little when the Service Engine light is on but doesn‘t when it‘s just the ABS warning sign. They‘re never on together at the same time. Why?
service engine light is telling you there's a fault in the system,ie., map sensor/map sensor/tps/oxygen sensor(s). abs light depending on color, I assume it's yellow mean's there's a fault in you brake system. the stutter in the car sound's like an oxygen sensor.
Q: I‘ve checked the coolant level and its fine and the indicator still stays on, so im not sure if its electrical or not? Another question does anybody know where the canister is on the audi a4 99 1.8t wagon?
Sounds like your vehicle might have air trapped in the coolant system. I'm not a auto technician, but I seen cases where the coolant light appears on. You can try bleeding the air from the radiator. Here is some information that I found on maybe getting rid of any air in the coolant system. Again, I'm no auto technician. I try to pick-up a little information here and there. As far as bleeding the air, leave the radiator cap off until fully warmed up.If you have overfilled the radiator a little spillage will occur as the thermostat opens, this is normal.Since the cap is higher than the thermostat it should bleed the air out by itself.
Q: Car headlamp shell material
PMMA, PS, PC, etc.
Q: Auto Zone tells me after OBD scanner that I may need an Air Filter.or could be fuses (probably not), or a connection hose may be loose. What is an AIR FILTER, is it expensive, and can my SMOG man do the repair ?
Haematite is Fe2O3. Rust is the same, only with water molecules associated, written as Fe2O3?nH2O, where n is a whole number.
Q: I removed the instrument panel on my car to change the lights. I realized that I needed a part so I drove the car, without the instrument panel, to the store (I used a GPS as a speedometer). When I hooked it all back up the air bag light blinks a few times, then goes solid. I have checked to make sure there were no loose wires or connectors near the steering wheel or instrument panel. Would the light stay on because the instrument panel was missing? How can I fix this? The auto parts stores in the area do not have computer scanners that can read the airbag codes.
Jay is right, there's no way of knowing this one without a hands on inspection, could be something as simple as a line leaking fluid, or as serious as a catastrophic internal parts failure. Get it towed to your favorite shop, and see what they say. My condolences for your loss.
Q: This only happens when I drive for long periods of time.
ETS is an active safety feature on GM autos. What it does is detect wheel slipage and drops the RPMs and power output of the motor. Normally used by your car on icy or wet roads. These go bad often. ETS OFF means that this system is currently not operational. Some GMs have a button on the dash that says ETS or TCS if that button got bumped, then you could just press it. The light would go off and operation of car would return to normal. If you press the button to no avail or your car doesn't have the button, then you should just take to a service center.
Q: I have a 1999 Nissan Maxima. I got it from my uncle. He babied the car. He never really drove but only once a week. He had it service and interior and exterior is clean inside out. But the check engine light is on. He said he had it looked at but it was nothing and it was on the whole time he had. But it‘s not always on. One day It wasn‘t on and I was happy but now it‘s on everyday. I hope it‘s not nothing major. The car has no problems. I don‘t know what it could be. If its a bad sensor why was it off for that one day and a couple other days.
On Board Diagnostic 2 or OBD2 systems in cars 1996 and newer turn on the check engine light. Almost never does a engine light come on for no reason. Anytime the car detects something that may cause more emissions you get a light. Go to auto parts store that will read the code and get back to us at answers and we'll help. Good Luck
Q: My transmission pump went and my car got fixed. None of the lights were on. I got the car back and now the check engine light, ABS, and TCS lights are all on on the dash. What would case this? Thanks!
What would case this? Broken stuff. Go get the codes.
Q: I have a 2005 colorado. It just went off the 3 year warranty but has less than 36000 miles. The check engine light came on . The truck runs great. I took it to Advanced Auto parts and the did a check on the computer and said it was the emission system. Has any body had this problem? What about warranty? I dont want to take it to the chevy dealer. Help please.
There is no reason not to take your Colorado to your local Chevy dealer. The emission system is covered under factory warranty for at least 50k miles. There are some emission parts covered at 100k and beyond. Please let the dealer correct this problem. You should not pay for something covered under warranty.Best of luck with your Colorado.
