Q: you know the little rugs that kind of curve around the base of your toilet and a little in front?i left it outside and it stormed overnight and it blew off of the deck into some nastiness on the ground and its all soaking wet.can i just throw it in the washer? i don't want to ruin the stuff on the underside, like have it all fall off you know?haha i hope you understand what i'm talking about:/ thanks=)
You can throw it in the washer. Don't put it on high heat or use the tumble dryer. That's what tears up the rubber backing. You should be able to wash it a few times before it starts to fall apart.
Q: my boyfriend tipped over his Hookah and burnt tons of tiny holes in his carpet, some just surface burns and some are somewhat deep, and theyre over about a 2 foot span, and all smaller than a dime. What is a non-costly way to fix the problem? We are going to try to trim some of the surface burns. The carpet is older than my boyfriend (so its 18+ years old) and they have no scraps.
when I lived in an apartment, I burned a hole from an ashtray in the carpet as big as a baseball, my neighbor and I took the carpet from the baseboards where they are hidden and filled the hole in with the scraps (carpet fuzz) and glue that lasted till I moved out 2 years later I don't know what happened after that, it was not noticeable.
Q: I am going to install some carpeting in my home and I was wondering if 2 pads could be put underneath the carpet roll instead of 1. I know they sell different 'weights' of the pad, but i wanted the thickest possible pad so that it can be very cushy. So, is it possible? I am interested in knowing what is the best option for what I am looking to do. Anyone with carpeting knowledge...
one pad 9/16 of an inch
Q: my carpet is dirty it has stains and needs a good cleaning what can i use in a shampooer to clean it
If it's really bad, hire a professional. They have the right cleansers and machines to do a better job.
Q: I like it in brown in the largest size (8'x10') but guess what, its 500 bucks...ya and thats on sale.does anyone know where I can buy a carpet similar to this one but er a little less expensive? Thanks!!
You can consider buying a chocolate brown carpet remnant from a carpeting outlet and painting your own dots. An 8' x 10' remnant could be had for as little as $50, plus whatever fabric paint you use for the circles. TX Griff
Q: We've lived in our house for almost two years and have the most annoying rug in the living room. It sheds constantly and it's like having a pet! I'm getting really sick of it as don't like putting my baby son down on the floor to play as he ends up covered in white fibres and if they get on his hands, they're in his mouth! No amount of vacuuming seems to help. I'm thinking about getting a new rug, but worried about spending a fortune only to have the same problem again! Does anyone know any types of rug that won't shed? I've read that wool ones are the worst... any general rug advice appreciated!!!
Synthetics like nylon and polyester do not shed. If you look for a rug or carpet that has a long period of wear warranty, that is likely the kind that doesn't shed. That type of rug may have other issues, like less resiliency, but if shedding is the concern, go for synthetic.
Q: What is dornier carpet
It is not as thick as wool quality, want to pursue more beautiful texture, washing pattern is beautiful mainly bacause the material is cotton and can be washed, don't buy carpet with good feet feeling, decorative pattern is relatively various and price is low, but the shortcoming is it's too thin.
Q: I used one of those machines to clean a rug and it's left it all streaky. I want to start again when it's dry and not using the machine..so can anyone tell me what carpet cleaner to use or has any tips or suggestions. Any help appreciated. How do you clean your rugs/carpets?
Get some pro company to do it ,a little more but its the best way.
Q: My cat is 2 1/2 yrs old and I've had him since he was 6 months old. Within this past couple of months he started pooping for some reason on one of my kitchen rugs. I've tried everything to correct this. I've used Nature's Miracle, Vinegar, other pet odor removers, put food in the spot so he would avoid the area, and not only changed litters but changed to scoopable. NOTHING has helped!! At first changing the litters seem to help and I scooped it out every couple of days. My only other choice is to scoop it out every day and/or put him in a cage for a week all day long with his own litter to try and break the habit. Other than that I feel I've run out of options! HELP...I'm at my wits end!!!
ok so either you could use a different pet repellent on the carpet or try something on the carpet that cats dont like on their paws... so they dont like walking on foil or rocks. also try a sound machine to scare them. I've had a toy that when it sensed motion it scared the cat away. also to encourage your cat to use the litter box you can move his poop to the litterbox.
Q: the new carpet that the campany layed just now smells very bad, does the glue used in the carpet contain formaldehyde?
Yeah, I suggest you look for a professional environmental company to detect it.
