- Q: I have a 1997 Toyota Previa. I failed a smog check and the mechanic gave this reason: timing connector doesn't ground for ignition timing to be checked. - Each pin/socket has a retention spring, just use a needle or safety pin to bend it inward to release it enough to pull it out the rear of the connector. Some have one and some have two it depends on the brand, and can be painful patience is required for this. Best do one at a time to avoid confusion and pinout mixup. cheers
- Q: I have an additional hdd I want to install in my Dell pc (windows xp professional). The system has separate dvd and cd rw drives in it on one cable. The original hard drive cable only has one end on it (hooked up to original hdd). If I aquire a cable with two ends can I just hook up the second drive? (orig. master, new drive slave). - If indeed that is what you are referring to then you'll need a molex to sata converter. While purchasing such a converter, make sure you don't confuse yourself between male and female converters.

- What kind of a connector plug are you talking about? Generally, a TV has connector receptacles, not plugs.
- Q: I just bought a new TV, a 26 Element TV with a built in digital tuner. I am completely lost and do not understand how to get cable. I live in a dorm and we are supposed to connect our cable to the wall, but I only see an RF connector on the back of the TV. Is an RF connector the same as a coaxial cable to the wall or is there an RF to coaxial cable converter so I could hook it up to the wall? Sorry if this doesn't make sense I have no idea what ANY of this is and every website I have done research on hasn't been helpful!
- Connect a coaxial cable (dollar store) between your RF connector on the TV and the wall connector and you should be in business.

- Type N connector is one of the best, good to 11 GHz, so it will handle 440 MHz with no problems. For 50 MHz, most any coax connecter will be fine. At 440 MHz, you have to be a bit more picky, but most good ones will work well. The second reference has a list of RF connectors. A BNC connector is very common and is good to 2 GHz. Note that although a connector type can be used to 2 GHz, for example, that does not mean that it is a perfect impedance with no reflections. BNC for example, is not great and has high reflections. Whereas type N is much better, and can also handle more power. As to your question, you need to be more specific. What exactly do you want? UHF Connector at 437 MHz mean what? Most any coax connector will work at that frequency, the question is how well. .
