Q:I just finished building my computer and I am experiencing problems turning my pc on with the cases power button. When I switched the power connector with the restart connector though, the computer runs just fine. -I have a Biostar VIA mainboard and a Power Up! Q:I have a 750tx from Corsair and the m4a79xtd evo by Asus however the motherboard's processor power connector is a 4 pin and my power supply (as expensive as it was) only comes with an 8 pin connector (and no it isn't split into two)What are my options aside from buying a new power supply?? (or a new motherboard?): I have the tx850 from corsair as well and I remember their manual saying that you can split the 8 pin. However, you might be able to buy an adapter at your local computer store.

Q:I have a six and an eight pin connector, the card apparently requires both. But my 8 pin seems to be different than the one on board. Is there and adapter? Or another way around?: There should be a nice dual molex to 8-pin adapter out there somewheremaybe in the box the GPU came in? Some other GPUs allow for using 2 4-pin connectors. Q:Anyone know what a COMB connector on a motherboard is used for? I am thinking it can be used for an external USB bracket, but can it be used to add firewire as well, via a bracket or something?: COMB is a second serial communication port, found as an internal header connector, on Gigabyte motherboards. The first is COMA, which is the common RS232 port connector, on the rear IO panel (all PCs have this connector). I think these ports are referred to as COM1 and COM2, in windows software. The terminology is a bit confusing.

I would go with the one on the power supply, as it will reduce the amount of cable in the case(thus reduce heat, clutter, etc). the one that comes with the gfx card is just in case the power supply you bought does not have a 6 pin connector(like many of the older psus)
