My aunt smokes and I borrowed some shoes from her and if you've ever come in contact with a smoker you know the smell gets into everything. My room started to smell of musty cigerette's and I found it was the carpet because of the shoes. I've tried this Glade Carpet Room Odors but it just seems to mask the smell terribly instead of getting rid of it. I'm thinking I might have to clean it on hands and knees, using some soap and water.

- On the low side but a normal builders allowance. When shopping for carpet, you ll be buying or comparing that price to an s/f price. This is the way carpet must be sold. The builders price break down to 1.77$ a s/f. You ll be able to get a cheap bedroom carpet for that if you look hard but none with any quality will be found. Get a carpet with a stain protector, you don t necessarily need Staimaster, although a good stain blocker, your paying some for the name. Also shop for a carpet with anti matte, anti crush. This won t matte down and show walk patterns. This differs from an anti wear warranty. Edit to your add on questions.. - My girfriend used to actually iron down the corners of her rug! As for wrinkling, it's probably not a very thick or heavy rug, you might have to ( the iron again!) a rubber type backing
- Q: Theres lot of blood on my carpet
- Follow these steps to remove blood stains from Carpet/Synthetic, Carpet/Wool, or Foam Rubber: Mix 1 teaspoon of a mild, non-alkali detergent with 1/2 pint lukewarm water. Add a small amount to the stain and blot the liquid. Do not force the stain further into the fibers. Continue blotting until no more stain is removed. If stain remains, add 1 tablespoon ammonia to 1 cup water (do not use on wool), sponge stain, and blot liquid. Continue until no more stain is removed. Place an absorbent pad over the damp area and weight it down. When no more liquid is drawn out, remove the pad and allow it to air dry thoroughly.

- yes, a carpet installer can patch it if there can be found a piece of carpet that closely matches it.if you can get it at a carpet store that would be the best,otherwise you can take a piece out of a bedroom closet or somewhere it won't be as noticeable.you can do it yourself but it is very complicated to explain on here.basically it is like a patch.
- Q: How do you get nail polish out of carpet?
- Find a really good nail polish remover and use that. If that doesn't work then use rubbing alcohol, and if that still doesn't get the stain out, then find a carpet cleaner that removes harsh stains. Good luck!
