Q: I was thinking of making a rug for my dorm room out of carpet squares - does anyone know of any way to:a) connect the squaresb) where to get (nice looking) carpet squares? Thanks so much!
The only place I've ever seen them was Home Depot Lowes
Q: We have off white carpet (which is now brown and stained) that is 10 years old. We have two toddlers (more to come) and 3 dogs. The dogs come in from outside right onto the carpet. I am looking for a flooring solution that will meet our needs. I expect our future holds many more carpet stains so I am looking into carpet tiles for our family room. I know, not pretty but functional. What do you all think? Are there some higher quality carpet tiles whereby our family room won't look like cheap office carpet? We don't want tile and we do not want laminate as we need soft floor for dogs and kids. Real hardwood would be nice but price prohibitive. Please let me know if you have any experience with carpet tile and what your general outlook on carpet tile/squares is. P.S. when we sell the house we would go ahead and put in new quot;realquot; carpet before we move.
Carpet Tile is great. We did that for our finished basement and it looks just as good as any other carpet. It washable, which makes it easy to maintain. I'm at work, and can't remember the brand name. I'll check when I get home and let you now what it is. It fits together like puzzle pieces. Once you vacuum it you can't see the lines.
Q: I need new carpet in my Buick rendezvous and i want to know where to find the stock carpet, the same kind thats in it not just mats to cover it up. I want to tear the old stuff out and put the same new in.

Q: We are looking for a round rug that's at least 4ft and in a nice brown/tan colored design. We are having a hard time finding one. It must be under $60. Any ideas?
try amazing savings that is a chain store if you have near by. I got it from there. They have many different colors, sizes and nice designs.
Q: they are 4months old, a boy girl, fixed.they keep scratching and pulling up the edges so that its coming up in strings/scrunched threads. I've tried blocking the area with objects, and a scratching post, b4 but they just go behind it somehow or go find somewhere else to pull up the rug. i've tried to remove them from the area when they do and say things like no off..but of course being cats they dont listen to me :(how can i make them stop????????????? any help would be amazing! thanks in advance!!
I had the same problem with a 2 month old kitten and a 12 year old cat. First, every time I see them scratching the rug, I carried them over to the scratch post and gently lift up their paws and place them over it. To further encourage this, I have 2 cat treehouses - so when I'm playing with them I also deliberately scratch the posts of the treehouses, and the cats would come running (because of the noise) and incidentally scratch the posts trying to reach for my hands. I also hold up their toy mice over the posts so they keep scratching over the posts. I kept doing that and although they did still scratch the rug, they didn't do it as often. I did eventually remove the rug and they only scratch the posts now, they don't even scratch my furniture anymore. I don't know, maybe I just got lucky. I just feel so much pride now when I see them scratching the posts.
Q: I am going to get new carpet and a friend told me to get berber because it wears better.Does it?Is it more expensive than a good plush carpet?
It is very durable, but not very stylish. We just bought new carpet and the comment was made by the sales rep that most men buy berber because it is durable. We ended up buying Frieze which is a very fashionable style carpeting. It's not plush, not berber, but is kinda casual; it's life twisted loop carpeting. And it doesn't show traffice pattern much at all. Ours looks like the sample below. Good luck deciding!
Q: wax cleanup from rug
I have used an iron and a cloth to get wax out of the carpet before. Lay the clth over the area and then apply a warm iron to the cloth, Hold it in place for awhile and then remove it. If I remember correctly, I had to do it about 20 times to get all the wax removed, but it worked.
Q: how do I crochet an oval rug for my bathroom?
Try okorder web site. There you will find tons of ideas and how 2's! Have fun!
Q: I have a large sisal rug that has been spilled on cat-vomited on, and who knows what else. Trying to spot-clean the stains hasn't been productive. What should I do?
Hey,i happen to have a sisal rug myself!! Firstly, it depends on the kind of sisal rug you have. There are two types: synthetic fiber, which may contain nylon or wool-blend materials; and natural fiber, made of plant products such as sea grass, paper, or coconut fibers. To safely clean synthetic-fiber sisals, follow the manufacturer's directions, which may recommend hot-water extraction or a dry-cleaning method. Manufacturers of natural-fiber sisals suggest only a dry-cleaning method. Do not steam-clean or wet-shampoo; liquids or excessive dampness may cause these rugs to shrink or pucker. For spot-cleaning a stain, lightly mist the area with the manufacturer's recommended cleaning solution (do not pour or heavily apply any cleanser directly onto the rug). Then blot the damp area with a white towel and continue blotting until the stain is removed. A fabric protectant may be applied to both types of sisal rugs during the manufacturing process or by the consumer. But regular wear and tear and cleaning can decrease its effectiveness; it may need to be reapplied.=] thx,
Q: what rug would look good with this? Not too expensive please!
I okorder / Not sure if its quite the right green, you'd have to see it in person. If its not big enough you could buy two or more and use a carpet tape on the back to join them together. And its on clearance!! good luck
