Q: I am about to get a foal and a light horses. Which blankets/rugs do each of them need and why?
Depends if your horse is going to live out all year, or in on a night, whether it's clipped etc etc. As you are getting a foal, don't buy anything too expensive as it's going to grow out of it pretty quickly. You'll need a waterproof rug for outside and a stable rug for inside. It also depends where you live, what sort of weather you tend to get, if there is good shelter in the field. You can get different weights for rugs, a bit like tog rating on a duvet. Don't get one to warm as it can make a horse soft, the main thing is to prevent the worst of the weather getting onto your horse.
Q: How do I get nail polish out of my carpet? Would nail polish remover work?
Maybe vinegar? Have no idea!! :(
Q: My parents used to sell rugs (they have a large collection of oriental rugs in their house) by teaching an adult education course at a local high school and inviting people to an open house. Since they didn't elect to teach the course this semester, they feel that they have no hope of selling rugs. I'm sure there are a lot of ways of promoting my parents rug business/collection on the internet without the course. My parents are not particuarly familiar with e-commerce, and I am only marginally familiar with it.What's the best way to use the internet to help my parents business?
Hi, okorder for all your queries regarding rugs.
Q: So the rug has been in a very cold house. Are fleas still a problem or do they die in the winter?
yes, the rug still has fleas. If it has been below freezing the fleas are dead but the eggs are still viable. As the eggs warm up to around 70, they will hatch in 7-10 days. Just wash the rug before bringing it into your house. If you have not washed it yet, you may have to treat your house in a week. 1 flea can lay 600 eggs nd in 7-10 days, depending on the temperature, the eggs hatch. In 7-10 days the 600 fleas will hatch and a wee later they will each lay 600 eggs.
Q: what is a jewelled rug?
i think you may be talking about a jewel toned rug. jewel tone colors are bright, deep, and saturated, jewel tones in red, blue, purple, green and yellow can add graphic punch to any room. go to the target website and search for jewel tone rugs. they have a pic of one. hope this helps!
Q: How to remove the musty smell of carpet
Sun exposure.
Q: My carpet is 20' X 16' The price is PER SQUARE YARD The price is roughly $25 PER SQUARE YARD.... PLEASE help me! How much will it cost!
Doing a room that size , you ll need a pc of carpet at least 12x28 to cover that area because of seaming. You may need more if there is a pattern . This is done with a 1/4 turn to make the least amount of carpet and some carpets you can t do that. 12x28 is 336 s/f or 37.333 s/y. But carpet is actually sold by the s/f and not s/y. Can be advertised on a sale tag as s/y but MUST be sold per s/f. But given those numbers, it ll cost 933.33$ plus pad and installation if that isn t an installed price. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q: so i have this furry rug and by furry i mean like it looks like it something that would be attached to your hoodie, and it's black... so i was wondering on how to vacuum and or clean the feathers off it because it's way to big to take outside and shake it all off
First vacuum it to remove dust and dirt The use a stiff brush to sweep it and bring up the fur
Q: Okay so yesterday i mixed dawn soap and water together and scrubbed the spots on my floor to get these crusty spots that were left on my carpet from the carpet cleaner. the crusty spots went away but in their place small spots (smaller than the crusty resdue from before.) were left over and they were now sticky! I than tried washing off those spots with anti bacterial wipes which didn't do anythign, i vaccumed my floor twice and today i used a combination of baking soda and vingar to get it ou of my floor. Now i have merely one or two small spots but im aware carpet cleaner is rather toxic and hazardous and so I wanted to ask if it's truly carpet cleaner resdue stuck to my floor or if it's simply the dawn soap that won't come out. Please help for I am rather worried.
First rinse and blot the carpet ( don t soak just wet to rinse) with white towels or white paper towels. Do this several times. If this doesn t work, then reuse the capet cleaner and do nothing but rinse and extract the water. Do this several times while drying the carpet between times to check. Sorry to say buy using dawn or any improper ingredient in the carpet cleaner was a mistake. Plus the use of a rented or home carpet machine isn t good for carpet. If rerinsing doesn t work , haveing it professionally done is the next step. If this residue isn t remove it will attract dirt.. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q: i found maggots in my carpet.how do i kill them..can i put salt on them..?
Thats the ? Where did they come from. Was there aglob of food, something die on the carpet. Are they coming from underneath, in the wood under the carpet. Spray it with insect killer Pull the carpet back to see where the problem is originating from. Get it professionally cleaned. Try not to throw up on it while you're cleaning it. Ewww
