Q: I have a cream couch with thin stripes color stripes are tan, beige Brown... Would this rug go good infront of it?! I plan to get a palm plant to put at the end of the couch- its a 2 piece sectional really nice!!!But im into more natural nuetral colors... for our living room!: You might get away with it if you bought some plain green throw pillows in the same shade of green, as well as this color in at least one more area such as, art work, a candle and dish set. You need to be able to blend the color scheme with out adding so many different colors and patterns. But I think it is highly likely that your stripped sofa would cause too much of a pattern change as well as too many colors for this room to use this rug. You pretty locked into a plain rug with your striped sofa. Maybe go with a nice plain chocolate brown or orange to make the floor and room have a pop of color with matching throw pillows , some art on the wall that picks up all of your neutral colors. However, you could bring a sofa pillow to the store to place it against the rug and check the two patterns against each other to see what you think. I hope this was of help to you. Enjoy decorating!

Q: I just spilled nail polish remover (yes, REMOVER) on my carpet...will anything happen to the carpet? How long does it take for the smell to go? I have my fan on...does that do anything? Please help - my room stinks!!: I do hope you cleaned the Carpet real well as soon as you spilled it. I would be surprised if it did not remove some of the color of your carpet..I had a friend who did that also and it did remove the color and she had saved a piece of the Carpet that was left over after it was laid. So she cut a small piece out to fit the place she had destroyed with the Polish remover. I hope you have some spare carpet pieces around...

Q: We've recently moved houses and have found there is sandflies/biting insects everywhere. Into the afternoon my TB mare especially is being eaten alive by the insects and is rubbing herself on the fences and she now is starting to loose her coat because of it. If I started him off in a big tank would it be ok? or would i have to use a smaller tank then progress?Any other cool things you guys know about Carpets I would love to hear about also!Thanks in advance! :): Carpet Pythons are semi arboreal, so they will appreciate some things to climb on when they are young and old. But as they get older they will need some pretty sturdy branches. Depending on what locality you get, it may get anywhere from 6'-12'. Carpet Pythons actually mellow out a lot when they mature a bit. They are fine with being handled, and it'll make it easier on you. You could start off in a big tank, but you have to make sure that the snake feels secure. Lots of hides, branches, etc. Plus you need to make sure there's enough heat for the whole cage. I would start off in a smaller tank if you can, but you don't have to. And one other tip about Carpet Pythons, unlike most snakes, which are usually fed prey the size of the fattest part of the snakes body, they actually can eat prey that are bigger than that, and prefer it.

I didn't know it was brand new! I assumed it was just old and funky. Try Carpet Fresh or any sprinkley carpet freshener. If it is really giving you a headache it is most likely just new fiber smell. Kinda like new car smell but different materials. In which case it will fade soon enough. but if it is really making your head hurt, take it outside and lay it out in the sun for a day or two. The ultra violet rays should cook off that new fiber smell a bit.

Q: my carpets are very dirty.: If the professional guarantees to get your carpets cleaned, it might be wroth it. It has been my experience, that they come in and go over the room once, and that's all you get. They do spot treat stains. We do it our selves, and we can keep going until the used water is not black, more of a khaki color. I know I have removed mos of the dirt when the water is just a little discolored and doesn't have actual dirt in it. Carpets are filthy, and collect everything that walks int he door. I also have a family member who uses a power wheel chair, and that thing isn't clean either. Mats at the door ill collect most of the dirt that comes in, but they are slippery for W/c's so I can't use them. :-( I use Bissell's carpet shampoo, as it has removed things that Rug Doctor shampoo missed, and I thought were permanent stains.
