Q: i really don't understand the rug sizing.Could somebody please explain:a: roughly what size rug fits what size ponyb: what size would fit my Welsh Sec C stallion?: all you have to do is take a flexible measuring tape, put the start of it in the middle of his chest, go around the widest part of his body, aroiund the point of his butt, and to the center of his tail. whatever the measurement is, that's the size you need. if the rug doesn't come in the size, go up the next bigger size they have. i'd guess roughly a 66 inch rug for the welsh.

Q: We have a really big area rug, and it keeps getting these huge...fold crease bulges in the same exact area...how the heck do you get rid of these for good?: Use carpet tape, even if you have a rug pad beneath it. The tape is double sided and will secure the rug to the pad so it won't shift. You can also secure it with the tape on the border of your rug to prevent shifting.

Depending upon your location, look for a carpet store in your area that is the largest wholesale store. Call them and express your need to obtain x sq ft of carpet at the lowest possible price. If you get an invitation to come look and see what they have that will sell in your price point. Go, they are in possession of at least a few choices for you. I don't know the sq ft of your home, so I have no idea if 2K is just a dream or could be a reality. Best of luck

Q: We've lived in our house for almost two years and have the most annoying rug in the living room. It sheds constantly and it's like having a pet! I'm getting really sick of it as don't like putting my baby son down on the floor to play as he ends up covered in white fibres and if they get on his hands, they're in his mouth! No amount of vacuuming seems to help. I'm thinking about getting a new rug, but worried about spending a fortune only to have the same problem again! Does anyone know any types of rug that won't shed? I've read that wool ones are the worst... any general rug advice appreciated!!!: As noted by others: good diet. I do not agree with other comments that say it is normal to shed all the time. Spitz breeds have a double coat, they should be shedding in spring and fall, to prepare for different seasons. To shorten the shedding period, give a warmish bath (not TOO warm) to loosen hair and dry using a force dryer. If you don't have a force dryer, go to a grooming shop. Do NOT use a human hair dryer, it is only going to dry his skin. The force dryer blasts the water and loose hair out. Once that is done, prepare yourself for about an hour of brushing. Use a teflon coated rake (single line, short teeth). I like to finish with a Zoom Groom (rubber fingers). I HATE furminators - they are a razor with a handle - they cut the hair off, they do not remove from the root (which is what shedding is all about - total loss of the entire hair shaft). Once you do this big groom, weekly brushing should be sufficient. You will always have to vaccuum, but it shouldn't need to be a daily thing.

Q: I recently moved house and my real fix fur rug isn't large enough to cover the floor in my room, so my question if, if I go and kill some foxes tonight, how do I skin them and how do I attach the skins to the rug without making it obvious where i have sewn them on?Also, what shall I do with the remains, is fox edible?: Yes fox is edible... but save the brain. Tanning a hide is a skill that requires practice. I can tell you how but I suggest practicing on something you don't plan to have every guest at your house have a look at. Also some sewing skill would be needed to mend the two rugs together, and foxes aren't large animals so more than one will almost definitely be needed. To tan a hide: Skin the animal at the leg and stretch the skin out very taunt. You will need a tool for scraping ( something sharp but rounded enough not to tear the hide). While the hide is stretched, scrap of the epidermis of the skin with your tool (on the side without fur obviously). Its important to keep the hide wet during this process. Keep a bucket of water nearby to wet it down with. After the hide dries from anywhere from a day or a week (still stretched) untie it and cut it to the size you need it. Now rinse it in a mixture of a half - a whole gallon of water and the foxes own brains (yes, the brains). Rinse, wring it out, rinse again. Over and over and over until your tired. Next stretch the skin out some. Give it a tug with a partner to loosen it up. Then you have to smoke the skin with a dark smoke (most likely from old rotten wood). This will cause the white skin to tan (hence, tanning the hide). Tan the fir side as well but no where near as much as the inside of the skin. Once its a golden brown you can sew it onto your first rug. Whew lol. This is just the general jist of tanning a hide. There are many other methods that I don't know about.
