- Q: Are there any upright vacuum cleaners you like thats under $100 and is not bag less?
- Purchase a rebuilt or reconditioned vacuum from a Vacuum Cleaner Sales Store. You can probably pick up a $600.00 machine, rebuilt, for under $100.00. This would be a much better machine than any new machine that sells in that price range. you can also find, new, a Sharp machine for prox., $200.00.
- Q: i get really freaked out when i turn on a vacuum. especialy at night is that normal? how can i ummmm say overcome this fear of vacuum cleaners. give me some fictional fun answers. (i really am scared of vacuums so if u have any advice plz post it)
- When you were a child there is probably a very painful memory with a vacuum cleaner. Maybe your parents were smacking you with one while they were vacuuming as you lay on the floor. Or you were a baby and all was peaceful and then DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN vacuum sound for hours you gave you a headache it was the worst day of your life, you just don't remember it.
- Q: I thought Dyson had a patent on bagless vacuum cleaners but now everybody is copying him. Is it because the patent has now expired and so people can copy it? (as he once sued hoover for copying him but that was a long time ago, around 10 years ago)Thankyou for your help
- Are you talking about a broom? I don't think those can be patented.
- Q: Honest, Himself just purchased a new vacuum we are told one of the attachments was used in the 1940s for nit picking.Have you ever heard of a nit picking attachment being put on vacuum cleaners in the past? If you were to gain some nits would you be inclined to use a vacuum to remove them? Why or why not.Oh in case you were wondering I don't catch nits. I know this because back in the day I had work that involved louse removal from humans I never, ever caught any. Apparently I am immune.
- I never heard of such a vacuum, but I sure as heck wouldn't use it for for that purpose. Nits are literally glued onto the hair shaft with a substance chemically close to the composition of hair, so it would impossible for the vacuum attachment to actually work unless it pulls the entire hair strand out of your head (ouch!). Lice crawl; they don't jump or fly. Lice are spread by having had direct head to head contact (ie hugging with hair touching, sharing hats, etc) to get any number of lice to set up shop on another person's head. You were never infested because there was no direct contact to make it possible.
- Q: My place only has one carpeted room, so it actually has very little to vaccum. I currently own a hand-me-down vacuum cleaner, but it's bulky so I end up not using because of convenience. Is there a cheap vacuum cleaner out there that could work for me, one that might even be good for hardwood floors?
- Try a Royal Dirt Devil. I have had mine for 13 years and it still works great. It also works on hardwood floors.
- Q: Where in Bahrain can you find lamp shades, and Bissell vacuum cleaners?
- Go down main abut 3 miles, make a quick left, go north on the one way street with the funny overpass, make a quick left then a right, it's right there on your left.
- Q: gift horse in the mouth?Especially with the new Horsepower vacuum! : P
- stop teasin where is me new vacuum I need cleanin now!!!
- Q: My bagless vacuum is about 1 year old. We change our HEPA filter and the round filter under the dirt trap, clean the washable sponge as instructed. Recently, all of a sudden the machine smells really bad like a dead body is inside the machine. Anyone with a solution?
- you should try checking the belt on the machine, if it is worn or something is caught in it, it will smell bad.
- Q: Does anyone have one of those quot;stickvacuum cleaners? I am looking to buy a good suction stick vacuum cleaner to do my hardwoods every day. I have a Dyson DC40 but am returning it because I do not like it. I am looking for something to do my hardwoods every day, that's not too large or heavy and I think I'd like to stay away from the cordless. I have basically crumbs and dust to pick up in the kitchen/breakfast/dining room areas. We have no pets. Can anyone recommend something? Or tell me what NOT to buy?
- Stick vacuums come in cordless as well as standard plug-in models and while not having an electric cord adds to the versatility of the tool, it does mean pricey battery replacements, less power performance and recharging energy use. There's also the local availability of battery replacements that should be considered before buying a cordless vacuum. To decide whether a cordless model is right for your home, consider where you'll keep it and whether a plug-in is readily located. If a hands-off type of surface cleaning tool is more to your liking, a robot vacuum may be something to consider. Although much more expensive than a stick vacuum, a robot can do the job while you're out. If you don't like using a broom or mop to sweep or just want to shorten cleaning time, a stick vacuum is a quick way to clear crumbs and dirt from the dining or kitchen floor.
- Q: if you brought a battery operated conventional vacuum cleaner into space, in theory would it work? would it be able to create the internal vacuum to make it work? ( I am thinking along the lines of positive and negative pressure)
- no, you need matter to make a vacuum and space has no gas or pressure for this to happen. nothing would be moving. you need gas to produce the suction which produce the vacuum
