Q: I have two pembroke welsh corgis who shed like crazy and bare floors (no carpet at all). I am looking for a great, affordable vacuum that does not collect hair in the bristles on the bottom of the vacuum but actually sucks it up into the machine. Q: Vacuum bags or bagless vacuum cleaners?: I wanted a cloth bagged vaccuum but they just dont seem to make them, we have a rather dusty old house and I can fill a bag in no time and dont want to be buying endless paper bags. I bought a new vaccuum with the disposable paperbags BUT I also bought this attachment that goes on the hose like a jug and all the dirt, well 98%, goes in this jug that you can just pop off and empty when its holding enough, amazing how much goes in there and now instead of filling a bag within a week I empty the jug after every room, sometimes more, and I have a bag now that lasts about 5 months. SO my answer is like a mixture of the two. OH yes I was also told that the bagless types dont have the suction of the bagged ones, whether this is true, I dont know but I am WAY SO happy with my set up!!!!!

Q: Ok I have a eureka whirwind vacuum cleaner and whenever I use the hose and take it out of the hole and turn the vacuum on dust shoots out of the hole and i have to turn it back off because there is no point in using it if its just gonna shoot the dust back out! Does anyone know what the problem could be or what i could do to fix this? Any help would be highly appreciated!: My Panasonic did the same thing when I pulled the hose a little to far one day. So, duct tape, duct tape, duct tape! And now it works fine. Looks silly, though, but who cares, so long as it works? That was the hole at the back, where the hose enters the machine; if it is the hole at the side where the hose stays when not in use, you have a clog that forces the dirt back out. So if you aren't adept at disassembling vacuum cleaners, have it checked if it's worth it to you. If not, a decent vacuum can be had for under $200.00.

Q: Besides the price, are their any major differences between the two vacuum cleaners?: Only difference I see is the Animal comes with dry powder and spot spray cleaners. The technical specs are the exact same. I'd say save the $50 and get the Full Kit.

Q: if you brought a battery operated conventional vacuum cleaner into space, in theory would it work? would it be able to create the internal vacuum to make it work? ( I am thinking along the lines of positive and negative pressure): No. A vacuum cleaner works by driving all the air out of the interior cavity to create a negative pressure inside. The greater atmospheric pressure outside then forces air in to fill the interior, and this is a continuous cycle. In space there would be no air either inside or outside the vacuum cleaner, so the motor would have no effect whatsoever. Even if you had air inside it for the motor to expel, there is still zero pressure outside and hence nothing to take its place.
