- Q: If you are washing your hands, rinsing sink after brushing teeth, etc., the sink fills up with water. Does anyone know why this would happen? The only thing I can think of is that water covers the entire opening to the drain, and air cannot escape when water tries to move in.I have tried liquid de-clogging products, which seem to work a little, but the pipes are PVC, and pretty clean. I disassembled them and checked. Thanks!
- The stopper might need adjusting, the over flow might be clogged and sink can't breathe
- Q: Balcony washbasin marble good or good stainless steel
- Stainless steel is too soft and nice. If it is often used or marble is good, occasionally with about stainless steel
- Q: I removed the caulking around the sink, but the sink is still attached. Do they use some sort oof glue there? How do you get it out? Thanks.
- the sink might be screwed into the wall or unto the cabinet look inside the door if no door and your remodeling make sure the water is turned off and start chipping away at it where you removed the caulk good luck be carful wear saftey glasses
- Q: What should I do if I smell a chemical/gas when I go to rinse my mouth out after brushing in my bathroom sink?
- The first answer's suggestion was exactally what I would have said. It is just the gunk in your p-trap!
- Q: both the sinks are flooding from the drain up. there is crap in the sink from the drain. its disgusting! and to keep it from overflowing i have to just pour the water out with a cup into the tub. help please!
- Get a bucket place it under the P trap under the sink. Remove the compression nut on the trap and loosen the one holding the pipe in place at the wall. Drain the trap and if the line is full let it back drain into the bucket dump it in the toilet instaed of the the tub. Why the toilet ? It handles aoil and paper on a regular basis, the tub doesn't. There fore the tub drain is prone to clogging just as bad as the sink., Clean the trap out with hot water and scrub it out with a flexible brush. Run a sink tape down the drain and give it a few hardy turns and work it in and out of the drain pipe. This will dislodge most clogs and then just reassemble and flush the sink with Hot water.
- Q: In my bathroom, I have a ball-joint sink valve. Which means it's a single rotating handle. Pushing it up turns it on. To the left, hot water. To the right, cold water. My dilemma is, if I push it all the way to the left, no water comes out. If I rest it in a certain position to the left, it sputters, and eventually cuts off altogether. In other words, it's a pain in the butt to get hot water out. I'm assuming it needs to be repaired, but could it also be that it is an energy saving faucet? As I'm not sure.Anyways, if you are knowledgeable in the area of plumbing, I would greatly appreciate your diagnostic if you have one. Even if it isn't right at all, I'd still be grateful for input.
- This problem may be caused by low water pressure. Have you checked that your 'pressure adjusting valve' is set correctly? You'll want to locate your pressure adjusting valve that's connected to your water supply line. It can be in your basement, crawlspace or water meter box. With a wrench or pliers, you'll want to loosen its lock nut. Then with a screwdriver, turn the screw clockwise slightly. Now you're ready to test your bathroom faucet. Turn on your faucet..if you see a slight improvement, but want more pressure, then turn the screw a little bit clockwise. To reduce, turn counter clockwise. When you find the right amount of pressure, tighten the lock nut. If the problem is not low water pressure, then it may be something with your water lines. You'll want to double check all faucet lines have no bends in them and secured tightly. You'll also want to closely examine the faucet itself and make sure nothing is clogging the aerator, and its valve cartridge is not damaged. Sputtering water from a faucet can be caused by debris particles in the aerator. If there are no problems with either your water pressure, water lines, or faucet itself, you'll need to take a look at your water heater.
- Q: Basin basin pool fell, and what can be fixed again,
- Structural glue. Can make the basin after the basic eternal, unless broken
- Q: I checked for a valve under the sink to see if it possibly wasn't open all the way but i did not see any valves. The cold water pressure is fine in the bathroom sink but hot water has been horrible since I moved in 7 months ago. Kitchen, and bathtub hot water pressure is just fine. The sink appeared to be newer if not brand new when I moved in. I live in the city, if that helps to know that I have city water and not well water. Please advise..I would love to be able to wash my hands with higher warm water pressureThanks in advance
- it's possible that the hot water has swollen the diaphragm in the hot water faucet and is restricting the flow. since you don't seem to have shut off valves you'll probably need to shut off the water to the whole house or at least at the hot water heater, if you have separate faucets. if you can find a brand name on your faucet you should be able to get a replacement cartridge for it before you start. or you can take the old one out and bring it with you, but also bring the brand name. if you have it repaired by a plumber, consider having him install shutoffs under the sink for the future. also, check the water temp setting on the water heater to see if it is set too high. so that the new cartridge will last, it should be set for 120 degrees. hope this helps, and good luck.
- Q: Home to install a water pipe with no first lead, basin, sink are bought?
- Do not have to determine where is the leading, where installed pots, where installed sink like, 99% of the faucet and fell into the water are in line with international norms, as long as the workers are not careless, all right.
- Q: My bathroom bathroom counter pots every time the switch when the ceiling will be issued bang sound is how is it?
- The water pressure is too high
