Q: how to umplug bathroom sink?
80% of lavatory sink drains clog at the stopper. Remove all the water you can first. Look under the sink and you will find a rod sticking out of the drain perpendicular to the pipe. unscrew the nut that holds this rod to the drain. pull it out of the drain being careful not to drop any of the parts on the rod if there are any. pull the stopper out of the drain. use a steel hanger with a hook on the end to swirl around in the drain to remove debris. don't run water without pop-up rod as it will leak under the sink. put the stopper back in the drain with the hole facing the back of the pipe so the rod will go into it. put the rod back in and tighten the nut finger tight. flush with cold water and check for leaks around the nut and the pop up rod. tighten as needed to stop leaks. If that doesn't work you can remove the p trap under the sink and empty it. if there is no debris clogging it you can snake through the pipe sticking out of the wall (trap arm). after you snake the drain reinstall the trap and flush with cold water. check the trap for leaks and tighten as needed. I NEVER recommend Draino because it doesn't work very often and when it doesn't, you end up with a sink full of dangerous caustic chemicals. A lot of plumbers will charge extra if they have to deal with it because it can burn you, blind you, ruin your clothes and ruin drain machine cables.
Q: i smell a bad smell form the drain of my sink... i believe the contractor who installed it forgot to block off one of the pipes or something. suggestions on what might be the cause of the bad smell?
Hi Most bad smells on English fitted sinks emanate from the overflow system, also if you have two sink bowls the plumbing under the sinks for the combined waste outlets can be fitted incorrectly by the contractor ie sweep tee's fitted the wrong way round in should sweep in the direction of the water flow to the drain, most importantly there must be no back fall in the pipework it must have a fall towards the drain, also if you have the dish washer plumbed into the same drain pipework that can cause odour problems, You need a skilled plumber to cast is eyes on it and the problem should be easy for him to spot, you can bill the contractor. I against trade practise always bung of the overflow connection on my kitchen sinks they do not do the job they were meant for they are almost impossible to keep free of germs and smells its a total waste of time and tend to leak when the sink bowl is full you must always keep the water level below the overflow out let, if ever you left the tap running you would perhaps gain about two minutes before the water overflows the sink. After all that do you mean the outside drain gully? if you do the gully needs to be cleaned , that requires long arms and rubber gloves if the smells persist you have a drain problem , ie a dig up job, if the contractor did some underground work get him back to have a look. The bathroom sink smells usually come back through the overflow the same as the kitchen sink, you need to keep the trap under the sink spotless needs to been cleaned every few months the overflow itself is a source of smells and you need to squirt a cleaning fluid into the overflow out let, weekly cheers Bob a job
Q: What is the size of the bathroom counter basin cabinet?
Commonly used common basin size: 585 × 390mm, 600 × 460mm, 700 × 460mm, 750 × 460mm, 800 × 460mm, 900 × 460mm, 1000 × 460mm, 600 × 405 × 155mm, 410 × 310 × 140mm size specifications, In addition, there are many commonly used basin size, because the basin is a private bathroom sanitary ware, so in order to try to meet the needs of each user, manufacturers have to quit a lot of different sizes of the basin, and ultimately the current situation.
Q: My family bathroom basin and the following cabinet to connect the gap, out of the water! Solve!
There are two copper joints in the faucet, which are connected to the faucet, one side under your marble and stuck with a hoop nut.
Q: What should I pay attention to when buying pots?
You have to look at the location of the installation of the faucet is convenient, this is very important, sometimes not very good, there will be leakage of the situation, my home is the German treasure brand, they are in this design is not bad, very human The
Q: My husband was installing our new bathroom vanity after recent flood damage and the cabinet was just a bit too wide to slide into the spot. So he decided instead of sanding the drywall down he just cut it out. Now I have a 2 inch large hole in the drywall all around the sink and the sink protrudes a bit into the drywall. Not a huge problem except that we have to put a back splash back up around the sink to replace the existing we took out and I have nothing to adhere it to. I was told to get the mesh drywall patch and joint compound and just patch it but the sink still protrudes and I have nothing to really secure the patch to. I cant pull the cabinet out either because he already hooked up the water lines/plumbing. Help!
A piece of wood like a shim or lathe slat 1/4 X width of hole +bit more. Drill a hole in the center of the wood and put a string through and tie into a not bigger than the hole, insert the piece of wood in the hole in the wall {trim down until it can fit but still want it little wider to stop against} and pull back on string until flat against the back of the wall. This is the backing you can use to patch the hole. You will need to hold it in place while applying first layer. Try to include the backing in patch work to hold. Good Luck
Q: Basin basin pool fell, and what can be fixed again,

Q: How to unclog bathroom sink

Wash basin hot and cold water generally from the ground size of 35 - 40 cm or so can be.
