Keep running the water until the bleach smell is gone. Before doing this, make sure your sink has an overflow hole, as some of the newer sinks do not. Many times, the smell is caused by mold or other bacteria in between the sink body. This is where the bleach water will go, and then through the drain piping. It will take care of either odor problem.

But the sink, once I turned the valves on the water barely trickled out.....Whats the problem and how do I fix it??: sounds like the sink valve never was turned back on all the way,try to tighten the screw on the valve the turn it on,or it may be stripped take the knob off (should be Phillips head) and try a pair of pliers to turn it on (don't force it you will strip it) on rare occasion the shutoff valve is defective you will have to get a plumber to replace.whats weird is that you should have hot and cold water valves under the sink one should have worked properly and you should have some kind of pressure.like i said make sure they are both opened all the way..good luck Bill

Q: We've been working on it all night. We tried a snake through the drain thing. And did the vinegar/baking soda/boiling water thing. That didn't work either. We really don't wanna call the plumber and we don't want to remove pipes unless we have too. Is there any other way?: We had a clog in the kitchen sink, and we had to go in the basement and snake it through the pipes down there. I dont know a lot about it even though I was the one who did it, my mom knew which one to open. So I guess go from there, your snake prob. wasnt long enough, we had to snake a LONG time. Good luck, Clogged sinks suck! Edit if you snaked it and use vinegar, Draino isnt going to work.
