Q: How do they get the tower cranes (the ones used to build sky scrapers) so high? It's not like they can ship them all in one piece so how do they make them taller? I've always wondered that...: They okorder /

Q: I'm looking for estimate including installation, vertical support beams, and bus bars. Details: rectangular shaped building 500 ft long split lengthwise into two sections. 500ft X 4lengths of craneways is 2000ft. The crane runways are bolted to building frame but are self supporting on I-beams (104 vertical supporting beams X 24ft. height). The crane runways can support 10ton hoists. The bus bars (electrical conductor assembly) run along all (2000ft) of crane runways.: the only 5'6 girl I know of who did runway was Devon Aoki. Everyone else is at least 5'9+ except Kate Moss who is 5'7.5. The average height for runway is 5'10

Q: I've heard of people making 1000 origami cranes as a wedding gift or decoration. I am making them as a gift for my sister-in-law and her husband, whose new baby is due next month. Pick a room - any room they use often, like a living room - and swathe the whole thing in white curtains and drapes and tablecloths. Then spread the cranes out. Artistically perch them on shelves and rim the couches with them and arrange them in circle and diamond patterns on the coffee table. Make the whole room a sea of origami cranes, and then put up a big sign in the middle: CONGRATULATIONS! Or you could make a pi?ata. When whacked, the pi?ata will explode into one thousand origami cranes. Or put them all in a bucket on the rim of a door that is slightly ajar. When they fling it open, the buckets will dump a tremendous shower of paper onto their heads! Attach a bucket to a rope so that the buckets don't clank onto their heads and hurt them.

Q: I know they will leave because last year they left after a few weeks. I have seen that they normally leave after a month. They annoy me and I want them gone. They have been around since the end of February or beginning of March. Does anyone else have these in their house. It seems like they are leaving slowly usually there is like 1 or 2 a day in moms room but the last 2 days there have not been any. They have been in my room, just one a day it seems like and maybe one in the kitchen. We swat them or spray them and they die eventually but when will they be gone atleast for a little while?: Crane flies are totaly harmless to humans.They fly for some time and fall down to earth.Ants will take them away.These flies never byte or sting. Pet Cats like to play with it and catch it.They will disappear after some time. Do you know that crane flies spend most of their lives underground in their larval forms, which are known as leatherjackest?. Leatherjackets were very common round here, and are a favourite food of the local crows .These leatherjackets transform into crane flies.Summer is their growth time.

Q: This is for a school project, we need a crane with yydraulics to pick up things for science.. Any ideas ?!: The first (visible in the first link) is the boom angle pistons. These are mounted to the rotating section and to the boom. The second hydraulics are inside the boom arm. The boom actually has several sections that telescope (like a motorized car antenna). Each section has a hydraulic piston that pushes the section out of the end of the boom. The cable that hangs off the end is wound onto a large cable reel that is on the rotating section.
