- Q: I am going to make 1000 paper cranes like Sadako Sasaki did. I am doing it to remember the victims of hiroshima and nagasaki and all the others who died as a result of wwii. especially sadako sasaki who, though she died in 1955, she was poisoned by the toxic gases in hiroshima. what do you think of my project, and got any tips to help?
- Well first of all, i highly recommend that buy some Anti-Pope spray just in case you have jesus christ knocking at your door. Then i recommend that you make a cake. Preferably , a banana, as this is my favourite. And send it to me in the mail. By now, i will bless you that your house and family as well as friends, are all wished well and that you are not killed from one of your paper cranes stabbing you in the eye. I also recommend getting life insurance. God only knows how sharp paper is and it rly rly hurts. Then eat some Chicken, Avacado Sushi because everyone knows that is brain food. I finish off by commending you and by saying. See you on monday.
- Q: or is jason mraz just making up things for lyrics?
- No. They are lifted into place in sections by one or more other cranes, the telescopic arm kind, which are either in a nearby street or on the building site. I watched several being built and then dismantled over a period of three years at a large development across the street from my house. However, I saw a TV programme about how they built one on top of a mountain, and there they used helicopters to lower the sections into place.
- Q: I have a 2 year old bearded dragon, and there r tons of crane flies flying around everywhere outside. i was wondering if she can eat them in small amounts?
- Hi, yes she can eat crane flies but be aware that this is not good practice due to the possibility that wild crane flies may have come into contact with pesticides and this could be harmful so I would advise not to do it, crickets are cheap enough and your dragons well being is more important than a small financial saving, Stef
- Q: I know this is a longshot someone will know what I'm talking about... but I just got a flash memory of a poem where a bird with long legs (I believe cranes, but it could have been flamingos or some other bird) and kids threw stones at them and their legs just snapped.... that's all I can remember, but I remember whatever the line was describing the legs snapping really well because it was in such sharp contrast to the rest of the poem.... anyone have any clue what poem this is?
- The Crane and The Crow'-Aesop's fables The farmer threw the stone at the crane and broke both his legs. The injured crane said to the crow, What has become of your God-given prophecies? Why didn't you warn me that his was going to happen?
- Q: Last week, I decided to make 1000 paper cranes as a new project. I am very craft- oriented, and have made numerous knitted scarfs, crocheted blankets (still in the works), and cross stitch patterns for family members. I have made 2 large cross stitch patterns, one for my grandma (took me 2 years to do) and one for my dad (2 months). My mom's birthday is coming up, and I was wondering if I should give her 1000 paper cranes as a present? I haven't yet given her anything that I made, and I feel bad about it. I don't have enough time to cross stitch a pattern or anything, and I can easily make 1000 by December. Would it be a sentimental present? Should I do it? Would she like it? If not, what should I get her? I want it to be something that I made so that it will be personal.
- Lol if you *really* want to be crafty... Get a spring (Or several) Glue it to the bottom of a box. Then glue a cardboard piece on top. Then put something heavy... (For example, a glass crane, shoudn't cost much) and put all the paper cranes under it. Then... when she opens the present and takes the glass one out the paper ones will fly everywehre :D
- Q: the question is :Two cranes can unload a ship together in 15 hours. The faster crane takes 16 hours less than the slower crane, if each were to unload the same ship alone. How long doesi t take for each crane to unload this ship? I done most of the math but i am stuck with this last part .15+- radical 1185/2
- No. of hours for the slower to unload alone—x: 1/x + 1/(x - 16) = 1/15 (x - 16 + x)/(x? - 16x) = 1/15 15(2x - 16) = x? - 16x 30x - 240 = x? - 16x x? - 46x = - 240 x? - 23x = - 240 + (- 23)? x? - 23x = - 240 + 529 (x - 23)? = 289 x - 23 = 17 x = 40 No. of hours for the faster to unload alone: = 40 - 16 = 24 Answer: slower crane, 40 hrs; faster crane, 24 hrs Check: = 15(1/40 + 1/24) = 15([3 + 5]/120) = 15(8/120) = 15(1/15) = 15/15 or 1
- Q: I was looking at the glidecam hd1000 for my canon vixia hv40, but now I think I'm more interested in a crane (jib).I was thinking of the advance digital 6 ft. crane. I would replace some of the plastic parts for metal.I'll be using it to film sketches and short films. (my budget is 350 dollars, but id like it to be under that)the crane is 200 dollarsthe glidecam is 370 dollars (on amazon)Thanks,Mike
- It okorder / I have purchased Studio Jib last year and since then it is performing pretty good. It is quite light in weight that it can be carried very easily without any problem.
- Q: I've read significance and accordance online. But i can't find a source for defiance, I used epub bud for the other two books but this book isn't on the website. Is there anyway I can read defiance by Shelly Crane online for free?
- Read Defiance Online Free
- Q: I need to know exactly how much weight they can lift also how much do they weight?how long is thier life-time?in what temprature they can work?does mosture do any harm to them?for installation , do they need foundation?the exact height and width?
- You need to be more specific. The lifting capacities for container cranes varies significantly, as does any other crane. Some of the variation is based purely on load (horsepower) availability; some is based on speed (rpm) for lift/drop portions of the cycle. Cranes like these operate year-round, at ports all over the world. Some ports have average ambient temperatures in the range of 45 C, with highs up to 60 C. Others can be as low an average as 10 C, with a low peak as much as -50 C. Moisture will, over the long haul, harm them - they're metal constructs, and thus are prone to oxidation. Using corrosion-resistant materials and/or coatings will certainly prolong their usable lifespan. The crane drives (electric motors and power electronics) are also susceptible to moisture and other contaminants. All true dockside cranes require some sort of permanent foundation; it's usually part of the pier construction itself. However, there are portable cranes that operate without one. There is also more than one crane manufacturer out there - all will have their trade secrets that will make each look a little different than the rest. It will generally also reflect in their operation parameters, and in their expected life cycle.
- Q: I'm trying to workout the best height of a truss for a ship-to-shore container crane project. The crane will have a 65m outreach, 18m center section and 15m backreach. I was thinking in the region of 2m-3m truss height.Any input would be great. Thanks
- Jimmy: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) produces design standards for many types of cranes: see the link below. Many crane owners, licensing and governmental authorities having jurisdiction over cranes require design, fabrication and testing to ASME standards.
