- Q: I wanted the email address for the cartoonist Pickles by Brian Crane to find that golfing humor comic strip that ran in the newspapers. Maybe this would help. How many strokes do you think? Two - one big drive and a short putt. Now killed the golf ball. Then said Now one heck of a putt! I am still trying to find that comic strip but anyone has the email address, please let me know asap. Thanks!

- Q: A man said to the universe:“Sir, I exist!“However,” replied the universe,“The fact has not created in meA sense of obligation.”
- Crane was a wonderful poet and author; I have that poem written in one of my journals from long ago. I think he was pointing out that we seek answers and protection from the world outside our bodies when we shouldn't bother with that. The universe is only a backdrop in our play, and we are the ones with power.

- Q: I have this assignment to find out how a climbing crane is able to move up the building as construction continues.
- They add extra stages from the bottom. A tower crane is erected from a boom assembly, first and second tower sections of different cross section, and a base in a sequence of steps in which the boom assembly is mounted on a hollow climbing section dimensioned to be received in each of the larger second tower sections and defining a cavity dimensioned to receive each of the first tower sections. One of the latter is secured on a base in upright position, and the upright section is received in the cavity of the climbing section which is then raised relative to the first section and enveloped by one of the second sections. The enveloping section is secured to the base and the raised climbing section for supporting the climbing section whereupon the first tower section may be released from the base, raised, and secured to the second tower section. The climbing section may then be raised relative to the first tower section to permit the installation of another second section, and the procedure repeated, until all second or larger tower sections are superimposed on each other, the one first section being ultimately attached to the topmost second section. When the climbing section is raised relative to the attached first section, another first section may be superimposed on the one first section and the procedure repeated until the slimmer portion of the tower is assembled from superimposed first sections. Ultimately, the boom assembly is attached to the topmost first tower section, and the climbing section may be removed or stored for further use on the wider, lower tower portion.

- Q: I have a Manfrotto/Bogen 055XB tripod that says it supports up to about 15lbs. The crane I'm looking into getting is the Glidecam Camcrane 200 which says it has a payload of up to 30lbs. depending on the height. What would happen if I were to use this crane with my tripod?
- Please let me know where you will be so I can capture the video of your camera crashing to the ground. Because you overloaded the tripod, there will be no warranty coverage for anything. Yes, they can tell. ++++++++++++ I realized I had not provided an alternative... the crane specs also specify Camcrane 200 mounts on the 3/8 standard bolt found on the majority of medium and heavy duty tripods an
- Q: I have to read this book for an AP class next year. I did read the book and i don't understand how i can discuss the setting and its possible relationship to the theme. I looked stuff up on the internet and I've asked other people who have read the book and they're just as confused as I am. I need help!
- I can't tell you what to write or what you see as the theme but one of the themes in the book is man versus nature. Maybe you could discuss the setting as part of nature and what Crane seems to be saying about it. One thing that might help is a poem Crane wrote which explains how he sees things. Maybe you already know it. It's titled A man said to the universe A man said to the universe, Sir, I exist! However, replied the universe the fact has not created in me a sense of obligation. An indifferent universe. Not unlike how Thomas Hardy saw things.
- Q: did stephen crane win any awards?
- Stephen Crane (November 1, 1871 – June 5, 1900) was an American novelist, short story writer, poet and journalist. Prolific throughout his short life, he wrote notable works in the Realist tradition as well as early examples of American Naturalism and Impressionism. He is recognized by modern critics as one of the most innovative writers of his generation.
- Q: explain thoroughly please
- Sure. Let's say that a crane needs to hoist a load of 10 tons, and that because it needs to reach over some obstacles, needs to lift at a horizontal distance of 50 feet away. That creates a torque about the base of the crane of 500 ton·ft. By positioning a counterweight on the opposite side of the tower, the magnitude of the moment can be mitigated. For instance, let's say a counterweight of 10 tons is positioned at 25 ft on the other side of the tower. The moment produced by the counterweight is 250 ton·ft, so the net moment at the base is 250 ton·ft. Furthermore, when the 10 ton load is positioned and release, there is still a 250 ton·ft moment at the base of the tower; it has simply switched direction (say from rotating the crane to the right, to rotating it to the left). If you find this helpful, please award Best Answer!
- Q: i was wondering
- I am not sure if it is true, but There is a myth that if a sick person makes 1000 paper cranes they will get one wish from god. Read the story Sadako and the thousand paper cranes.
