- Q: Is their a difference between a flamingos and cranes birds?
- Yes quite some difference,Flamingos are crustacean feeders brine shrimp and similar, feeding by sifting water through their bills by a pumping action and feed in water.Their habitat is Tropical climbs Cranes on the other hand are mainly land or swamp birds feeding on Frogs Lizards even snakes and other insects., they live in various regions even in cold areas. This is only a brief description so I hope it has helped
- Q: Describe how a bottleneck event reduces genetic diversity in a population, and specifically how this has affected the current population of whooping cranes in the U.S
- Well, a bottleneck reduces the number of organisms in a population or species down to a much smaller number than previously existed. In the case of the whooping crane, the species underwent a bottlenck event (although what it is I'm not sure), leaving us with less than 12 individual birds. The more widely accepted number of 6-8 birds has given rise to the several hundred whooping cranes alive today. Since only half a dozen sets of genes were used to create the several hundred, there is not much genetic variability.
- Q: What species of crane/heron is at 3:07 of this video?
- It is a stork, not a crane or heron. The painted stork, Mycteria leucocephala. The first pic in this link does not make the identification clear..
- Q: if anyone can inform me about any of these styles in debt even if just one id greatly appreciat itbest ansewer will be hard here cause i will b thankful for all who give a sincere ansewer
- That is not much of a question. Then again I can see based on your grammar and spelling that you took very little time in considering it. Oh, and btw - Striking concepts is not a style... Thanks, but it's fairly obvious to me this Question is merely for Yahoo points.
- Q: who has made a origami crane? how hard was it?
- A okorder /
- Q: More specifically, do Sandhill Cranes eat squirrels?
- No. Dont have the mouth for it.
- Q: its huge and it is in my kitchen what to do with it it is freakin me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I am not sure what you mean here. Crane flies are not venomous, they do not possess venom nor are in fact able to break human skin by biting. If you mean are they poisonous if ingested, that all depends upon which substances are present on or in its body...
- Q: I have these sand cranes that always come up to our house and we feed them bread they never were aggressive but now one certain one is getting more aggressive. We have a screened porch and they come up to it and there putting holes in it to get our attention and there making like a noise thats not that normal when they see us. The one certain one is getting more aggressive towards the other birds poking on the them and chasing them. There is a group of four and they always stay together. the other three arent as aggressive as the one. He is bigger then the rest of them and is almost like the boss you could mostly tell he was before. He always let the other eat first while he watched around and when we gave them bread he used to be the last one up there now hes the first one there and literally runs to us when he sees us.
- Sounds like the aggressive is the Dominate male of the herd. I know you like to feed them but that's what started the problem. He is being Dom so he can get more food and be the first to eat. Once they figure out you're not going to feed them they will go back to behaving normal. These are cool to look at, even though they can get loud sometimes. Have you ever seen tourist feed sea-gulls at the beach. Locals don't do it. Sea Gulls will get as aggresive as the Sand Cranes and actually dive bomb people. Imagine what a Sand Crane can do being what 10 times the size
- Q: who has played their respective character the longest ? i'm pretty sure it's kelsey grammer but was hoping to get a few responses.
- Kelsey, his role has been going on since the late 80's. I love him!
- Q: I need help to find the meaning of Chinese proverb A crane standing amidst a flock of chickens.
- Probably similar to, 'it stands out like a sore thumb.'
