- Q: My laptop cable sometimes won't stay in all the time. When it is connected, it has a blue circle around it, but sometimes that blue circle goes off (while it is plugged into the side of laptop) and the tool bar changes from showing a plug to showing a battery. Would there be something wrong with the cable line and it needs to be replaced?
- the power plug is damaged and will have to be replaced the cost about 90 to 125 dollars. look at it and make sure if it is the plug or the socket
- Q: The hard drive is: Western Digital Caviar SE WD3200AAJS 320GB 7200 RPM, I'm getting from Newegg OEM. I know that OEM's don't come with a SATA cable which is fine but where can I find a compatible power cable? If it comes with one already please let me know. Thank you in advance.
- An internal drive would be powered by your power supply. If you don't have any additional SATA power cords in your PC, I believe you can by a 4 prong to SATA converter. Otherwise you may have to look at getting a new power supply for your PC that has more SATA power adapters
- Q: I was walking through the bush recently and I noticed that there were cable towers separated by a valley. How would they get the cable between the towers when there is a cliff on either side?
- There once was a contest to see who could fly a kite across the Niagara river. The winner would receive a cash prize. The kite string was tied to a stronger string and pulled across. Each time a stronger string, then a rope, and then electric cable. Helicopters can be used instead of a kite, but they still use rope to pull the cable across because the metal in the cable is too heavy.
- Q: On my original PS3 power cable it says 10A 125V, do I have to make sure the cable I use from a computer matches the same? Also can you explain how it works if the cables don't matter
- Fat Ps3 Power Cord
- Q: then directly to the capacitor. or should the resistor be in the middle of the power cable.
- call radio shack
- Q: how deep underground are electric cables put and gas pipes laid underground for houses and bungalows here in the united kingdom, the Supply would be coming from the street up the front garden, asking this as thinking of knocking in metal posts for garden fence,
- I apologize for the first answer. I can't imagine that basic building code is too different in the UK. The utility companies should have the information on file, and possibly your municipality. But the best bet is to see if they mark it for you. If that fails, I would pick up a manual post hole digger and some quick set cement and cement the posts in (i/m/o, this would be the way to go anyway as it gives you a much more secure post, plus you avoid having to wait on the utility company). Good luck.
- Q: So this is on my brothers christmas list and I can't find one anywhere. I'm assuming that computers don't have the juice to power a 1TB external without a power source, especially since he needs this for a laptop. He just wants it USB powered, btw.If anyone can find one for me that would be great, because I can't seem to...Thanks!
- Something that large without a power cable would undoubtedly power surge your mother board, or at the very least your USB controllers. . . so, the answer is no. . .they do not make this yet. When the day comes when a 1TB drive can be made solid state, rather than using a movable head like they are now, then maybe this will come about. . . but certainly not before then.
- Q: I have an old school Soundstream 500s amplifier(500 Watts) and I want to put it in my 1965 Mustang Coupe. I want to have a small but clean sounding system for the old car, probably with two small subwoofers too. I need to get all new cables for this sound system, so what would be a good power cable for the amp? I need roughly about 25-30 ft. of cable just to be safe and a fuse as well.
- Kicker,Tsunami,Memphis, or KnuConceptz. U can get away with 8awg but thats a nice car and u dont want to risk fryin anything so stick with 4awg I really dont recommend 8awg in ANY setup just dont like it, 4awg is perfect and gives u headroom as well, and 0awg wuld be overkill.
- Q: I have 8x220ah deep cycle car battery's at 12v and i wanted to run an 5kw 12v power inverter but i would need cable which is 400amp 12x4004800 so could i use two cable connected to the battery's and split the power into 2 cable or would this not work if so whythe inverter would be using 400amps from the battery and it would be supplying 20amps at 240voltsis my working out correct
- In this case, you should have put the batteries in series to get 48 or 96 volts, that makes the cabling easier. Too late now. Yes, at 5kW, that is 5000/12 420 amps I don't know what size wire you are using, and what the distance is, so I can't help further without that information. For example, if you are running 10 feet of cable (20 total) and you want to lose only 5% of the voltage, which is 0.6 volts, then the resistance of the wire needs to be less than 0.6/420 1.4 mΩ. That is, over 20 feet, 71 mΩ per 1000 feet, which is 000 AWG wire. Mush more than 10 feet, and you need to use MCM wire. .
- Q: So, yesterday I went to a bargain store and I found a Memorex MiniMove Boombox for iPod for 15$ because it didn't come with a DC cable. It has a battery function but it will only charge my iPod if its plugged in. I've been browsing OKorder for a DC IN 6v power cord like it calls for, but I was just wondering if there's anything else I need to be aware of before I consider buying one. Everything else works great, but I really need a charger as well as the stereo because my mom broke my last one and now it work play anything relating to my iPod when its plugged in but that was the only alarm clock I had. Thanks!
- Hard to say for sure. Your best bet is to go to the Memorex site and see if you can download the user manual that will have the full specs for the power cord. Then you can match everything.
