Q: wires have been cut and i have 4 wires i dont know what do.what colors are for what?: If your trying to wire a aftermarket radio into your car just go to best buy or any other car audio dealer and buy a wiring harness. It plugs directly into your stock wiring harness and on the opposite side has the correct colors of your aftermarket harness that came with the deck. All you have to do is color match and crimp.

Q: Hi i would like to ask what is the diference between the two versions of wiring the RJ 45 connector. when I was making my first networking cable, i used the wiring according to an image that only was using/connecting four wires into the connector. the cable works and works well. Now i found plenty of other images, all of them reccomending the full /eight wires/ connecting. Do I run my network on lower Mbits/sec? what are the other four wires used for? Thanks: In 10/100 Mbps wiring only 4 wires are used. 2 for sending data, 2 for receiving data. The other 4 are used for cancelling cross-talk and minimizing other problems associated with the physics of transmission. The wires are arranged in 4 pairs, with each pair twisted. It's the twisting that solves or reduces transmission problems. In Gigabit over copper (1000Mbps) all 8 wires are used, 4 for transmit and 4 for receive. The twisting of the wires is much tighter and the actual connectors on the ends have a smaller tolerance. You should also be aware that there are two major standards for wire arrangement in UTP data cabling - 568A and 568B. You will need to know what standard is used in your network for consistency's sake. Mixing 568A and 568B results in cross-over which may or may not be what you intended. Hope this helps.

Q: I have a grounding wire for my HIDs which I need to increase the length for. How do I do this?: Get a roll of cable from a shop like halfords and connect together with connector block. Of just connect the original wire to a metal part of the car close to the light. Just have to scratch a bit paint off for a good connection

Q: Hello, i am trying to hook up power windows in my truck. the motor has two wires and the switch has 3 wires. i just need the relay. i just need to know what kind of relay i need and how to hook it up. i know i need a reversing relay and that it needs to use the 3 switch wires along with the two motor wires and the two power wires. does anyone know what this relay is called and where i could find it online? thank you.: Hold your horses here as this gets real complicated real fast Motor has two wires one is pos and the other is neg on the down stroke. Reverse applies on the up stroke. Three wires from switch. Center is supply (either ground or 12 v.d.c) Other two are outputs from the supply. (ground is suggested) There are literally 50 different relay types you can use depending on the application. Some are three pin some are four pin and some are five pin. The five pin is the most common type used for power windows. I suggest going to the local junk yard and find a ford F series truck with fuel injection Open hood and look on drivers inner fender well on back side of air filter box. There will be two or three relays under a small plastic cover mounted on slip mounts and if you pull up hard enough they will come off. Cut the wires to these relays as far back towards the dash as you possibly can (to get the most wire possible) You will need two of them per window. These are the commonly sold five pin relays and once you have them then e-mail me through my avatar and I can direct you exactly what wire to what pin to what wire on switch and then to motors.

They are called Live, Neutral and Earth The Live wire is connected directly to the generators of the electricity supply company. NEVER touch this wire, it carries 230 Volts and can kill you!! The Neutral wire returns the electricity to the generator after it has passed through the appliance, to complete the circuit. The Neutral wire is at approximately zero volts but you must NEVER touch this wire either!! If the wiring is faulty it may be carrying the same electricity as the Live wire. The Earth wire usually carries no electricity, it is there as a safety device. If something in the appliance goes wrong, or it is wired incorrectly, then the Earth wire may be carrying the same electricity as the Live wire. To be completely safe, NEVER touch this wire either!!

Q: Please help. I am trying to fit a new light into a house with old wiring.My new light just has a connection block with 1 blue wire and 1 brown wire. When I removed the old light there are 5 wires coming from the ceiling. 1 black and 1 red coming from one lead and 1 black and 1 red coming from the other. Any ideas how I wire this up. Many thanks.: Cannot tell you..you have accounted for only 4 wires in that ceiling...and you will need a voltmeter to do the job. Q: How do I wire this ceiling fan? There are two house wires coming from ceiling-one white, one black. There are three wires on the fan- one white, one solid black, and one black with a white stripe. There is one light switch in the room that will be operating the fan/light (the fan has a light on it). I wired the white wire to the white wire, the black wire with the white stripe to the black wire, didn't know where to wire the solid black wire to. Now only the light part of the fan works, the fan does not work at all. Where does the solid black wire go? I need both the fan and the light to work.: Simple ------- wire-nut the 2 white wires together then wire-nut the solid black(from the house side)to both the black wire and black wire with white trace together. In many ceiling fans they use a blue wire for the fan light, but it appears they are using the black wire /with white trace for the fan light in this case.
