Q: Are two wires of the same material but different in thickness and length? Are their young's modulus of elasticity the same?
According to Hooke's law, in the elastic limit of an object, the stress is proportional to the strain, and the coefficient of proportionality is called the young's modulus (Y). Express as a formula:Y= (F - L) / (S - L)Y is numerically equal to the stress produced by unit strain. Its units are the same as those of the force. Young's modulus is the property of a material, independent of force and shape of an object.Young's modulus (Young's, modulus) is a noun in mechanics of materials. When the elastic material is subjected to the positive stress, it will produce a positive strain, defined as the ratio of the forward stress to the positive strain. The formula is denoted as E = sigma / epsilonAmong them, E represents Young's modulus, sigma represents positive stress, and epsilon represents positive strain.Young's modulus is large, indicating that in compression or tensile material, the deformation of the material is small.
Q: Okay so I just finished replacing a stolen car radio, but I think I messed up the wiring... When I turn off the car the radio doesn't seem to save the presets I had... it resets the whole stereo... I think it has something to do with the wiring I did... When I installed the radio there were two 12+ volt wires... One said 12+ volt constant and was yellow, and the other said 12+ volt switch and was pink... Problem was when I wired only the yellow one the car stereo wouldn't work, so I tried the pink one and that didn't work.. SO thinking I was clever I wired both to the 12+ volt and VOILA the radio turned on... Problem is I don't think that's how I was supposed to wire it... I have a '97 Honda accord Ex and I don't know if that's what I was supposed to do... :#92;
A car stero needs 3 main wires Constant Power (Normally Yellow) for memory like radio presets Switched Power (Normally Red) Switched by the cars ignition so your radio turns on/off with your keys You can wire these two together as long as its a constant feed, youll just have to turn it off yourself... but then it will work when the ignition is off as well that way and Earth (Normally black) The rest of the wires if you pay attention you can pair them up to form the front speakers and rear speakers, it looks to me like... this is going to take sometime to get my head around ill edit it ounce ive worked it out... Either way youv got your red and black there thats positive and negative, it will turn on with those. How many speakers in the car, and are they orginal, I asume all wires have an open end? the four black and white ones sound like someones added them, and put non orginal speakers in.
Q: I have just bought a Clarion CZ500 and am trying to run a remote wire to the amp. Where do i connect the wire to the head unit? Please Help
On the 16-pin connector coming from the rear of the head unit, there's a blue/white wire terminated with an insulated female slide connector. You can crimp a male connector to your amp remote wire or simply cut the connector off and splice the wires together. The wiring diagram is on page 31 of your manual.
Q: Besides the speaker wires, what do the remaining 5 colored wires stand for on a stock 03 Mitsubishi Galant radio?
See if they have a Haynes book for your vehicle at an auto store. In the last pages they have the wiring diagrams and the colors.
Q: Not the wire from RadioShack, but the really thin stuff used in modded circuit boards, logic circuits, low power circuits, etc.
Most low-voltage hookup wire is 24 gauge. You may be talking about what is called wire-wrap wire, which is used in some electronic prototyping projects. Wire wrap wire is 32 gauge Kynar insulated wire. (The larger the gauge number, the smaller the wire.) Radio Shack carries 24 gauge in larger spools of one color and in little sets of mixed colors. They also carry wire-wrap wire. So you can get it there. Just ask the sales person for help. If that doesn't work for you, there are a number of on-line sources. Just run an internet search on hook-up wire or wire-wrap wire. That will bring up lots of on-line suppliers that will provide you all sorts of small-gauge wire.
Q: Is there special speaker wire in order to run 250 watts max rms or will the oem speaker wire in the car be sufficient (did not originally have an amp and is most likely at 50 watts max rms). If I need a special wire for that please let me know what it is called and possibly an example link. Thanks!
most likely the wire pre ran in the car was 16 guage wire which is fairly small id recomend atleast 12G for speakers and 8G for a power wire.
Q: is this a wire that like is the same as buying any other one?
8g might be a little overkill. A 10g 2 conductor wire should be sufficient for nearly any application. Here's a link with more than anyone ever needs to know about speaker wire:
Q: i have a 2004 Isuzu Rodeo I cannot find the wiring harness color codes for it. i need the Left Rear positive negative colors the Right Rear positive negative colors. Thank You.

Q: Hello, I couldnt find a more appropriate category for this question, so i'm hoping someone here knows a little about wiring. today my booster fan burnt out, so I had to replace it. I got a 6in-line duct fan from the home depot. When I got home and took it out of the box, there is just wires with no plug on it. I have an old lamp that I took the cord off of, but there is only 2 cords, pos neg. The new fan has 3. white, black, and green. the black is the hot wire, and the green is grounded to the metal of the fan, and the white I am not sure of. I just want to know how to wire this plug to this new fan. if anyone knows how to do this please get back to me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. once again thank you.
you recognize the strategies of ways a furnace works so i'm assuming you basically opt to comprehend if in-line followers artwork. i've got put in them to help heat up a single room and it raised the temperature some ranges which became sufficient for me. this would sound stupid yet in keeping with threat truly of putting in a 12 inch in-line fan to flow air in the process the main significant duct, you install a pair of smaller 6 inch followers in strategic rooms on your upstairs and it does no longer be as great so a techniques as static tension is worried. basically a concept, wish it helps.
Q: Say you have a 5 cm current wire carrying 10 A going from left to right. Directly 1 c.m below the left end of this wire is a long wire that is perpendicular to the first wire and goes out of the page. What is the net force on the 5 cm wire?I've tried using F=ILB with the I of the first wire and the B of the second wire.
I didn't read the question so I was carefully working out the force. The wire is perpendicular to the first wire, so using the right hand rule you discover that the field it creates is PARALLEL to the first wire at this left end. The magnetic force is caused by the component which is PERPENDICULAR to the wire which is in fact zero. So there is no magnetic force at this point. As you move along the wire you get a diminishing amount of magnetism caused by the wire which is going out of the page but that field has a component which is DOWN the page. Therefore that part of the wire experiences a force which is into the page. ( take your right hand, put the thumb along the wire pointing to the right, the fingers point down the page, the palm points into the page which is then the direction of the force) I would be surprised if you were required to work out the magnitude of the force in this context. You can't use F= ILB because both the magnitude and the direction of the field varies at different points along the wire. If the perpendicular wire had been directly below the middle of the other wire there would have been no net force. If you were of a level where working out the force was appropriate you would need to set up the formula for B at various points along the wire, taking the vertical component only and integrate this over the range from 0 to 5 cm. Not a trivial mathematical task.
