- Q: i have 2 audiobahn 12s and an adiobahn amp in my 2000 malibu...1. the thin blue wire that comes from the amp to the stereo is connected to an orange wire behing the (stock) stero, and when i turn off the car the amp stays on. does anyone know which wire to connect the blue wire to, so the amp turns off with my radio or when i turn off the key.2. only one of my 12s is hitting, i think ther might be a wire connected wrong behind the stero. since i have a stock stereo and i have a converter hooked up, because it had no rca inputs on it. its not the speaker or the rca wire itself, because when i connect it with a y cable to the amp one or the other will work...i would appreciate it if someone could help.
- you have the amp connected to a hot all times wire, you need to switch it to a hot with ignition wire so amp will power down with key off, most of the time red is always hot and yellow is switched, orange is dimmer usually, blue or blue and white is usally the amp signal wire, try changing it to hook it up to the power ant out from your head unit if you have a power ant. or use the cd changer input if your head unit has it, usally blue as well.
- Q: how do I replace this, the wire is built into the speaker and runs into the unit.
- If you have enough wire, just twist it back together and cover the open wiring with electrical tape. If he took out a chunk of wire, just buy some more speaker wire and do t he same thing. The wires should be red and black, just connect the red to the red and the black to the black. It's a really quick and easy fix you can do yourself.
- Q: I am moving a stove that has four wires - bare copper (ground), red, white, and black.The location I am putting it in only has three wires - red, white, and black.Can I just ignore the ground on the new location since it doesn't have one? Or should I cross one of the other wires with the ground?
- Your four-wire stove has a terminal where you can connect the bare/green and white wires together, most have a jumper to connect the two terminals. You don't want to leave any wires unconnected. The other two wires (red black) are connected the same way between 3-wire and 4-wire units. You'll have to buy a 3-wire cable for your stove to plug it into the 3-wire receptacle. The new code requires 4-wire connections. The bare/green wire and the white neutral wire are run back to the circuit breaker panel separately at which point the are connected together on a buss bar.
- Q: So on my ceiling fan I have a white, black, green, and blue wire. In the ceiling I have a green, white, black, red, and bronze wire. What gets connected to what? Thanks for the help!
- Typically bronze is ground so attach it to the blue wire. white is neutral so attach the two whites wires together. All the other colors in this example are hot or power, one will go to the lights on the fan and the other willpower the fan, In other words black to black and red, the blue wire in the picture is a grouned
- Q: Live wire- bring current to appliancesNeutral wire- returns the current from the applianceMy question is, if we are using AC current, then in the next half cycle, the live wire will return the current from the appliance and the neutral wire will bring current to appliances. Am I right? If I’m right, then both wires have the same function why give them different names? Really appreciate your help.
- The live wire pushes the load (or the live wire connects the source to your load) and neutral wire goes from the load to ground (or back to source). So do not think about the alternating nature of AC but how the wires are connected and which one is pushing the load. Another way to think about it is the power flows from the generator to your house, through your panel, into your appliances then back. If you touch the live wire then electricity can flow through you to ground (bypassing the load). But, if you were to grab the neutral wire you will not be shocked because the current takes the path of least resistance, which is through the wire to ground and not through you. So, although the neutral wire can have the same power flow as the live wire you will not get shocked because you are on the other side of the load. Hope that helps you.
- Q: If you hang a pot-plant with mass of 8kg from two lengths of wire attached to a horizontal beam 100cm apart. The wire on the left has a length of 50cm and the wire on the right has a length of 75cm.What is the tension in both wires?
- The tension in both wires.? If you hang a pot-plant with mass of 8kg from two lengths of wire attached to a horizontal beam 100cm apart. The wire on the left has a length of 50cm and the wire on the right has a length of 75cm. What is the tension in both wires? In the triangle ABC, AB(c) = 100 cm, BC (a) = 50 cm and AC (b) = 75 cm 2s = a+b+c = 225 cm s = 112.5 s-a = 112.5 - 50 = 62.5 s-b = 112.5 - 75 = 37.5 s-c = 112.5 - 100 = 12.5 tan A/2 = √ {(s-b)*(s-c) / [s*(s-a)] = √ {37.5*12.5) / [112.5*62.5] A = 28.95? tan B/2 = √ {(s-c)*(s-a) / [s*(s-b)] = √ {12.5*62.5) / [112.5*37.5] B = 46.57? C = 180-28.95-46.57 =104.48? --------------------------------------... 46.57? is the angle between horizontal and 50 cm wire. 28.95 is he angle between horizontal and 100 cm P is the tension in the 50 cm wire and Q is the tension in the 75 cm wire Equating the horizontal components of the tensions P cos 46.57? = Q cos 28.95 ? P = Q cos 28.95 ?/ cos 46.57? P = 1.27 Q-------------------1 Equating the sum of the vertical components of the tensions to the weight of the pot P sin 46.57? + Q sin 28.95 = 8*9.8 N 0.73P + 0.48 Q = 78.4N 0.73(1.27 Q) + 0.48 Q = 78.4N Q = 55.72 N and P = 70.76 N ============================= Or use Lamis theorm Angle between P and Q = 104.48? Angle between P and the pot = 90 + 46.57? Angle between Q and the pot = 90 + 28.95 By Lamis theorm P/ cos 46.57? = 78.4/ sin 104.48? P = 55.67 N and Q = (78.4/ sin 104.48? ) cos28.95 = 70.85N ====================================
- Q: if a wire of initial length, and radius has a measured resistance of 1.0 ohms. the wire is drawn under tensile stress to a new uniform radius of 0.25r. what is the new resistance of the wire?
- assume the volume of the wire is constant cross sectional area = pi*R^2 A1 = PI * r^2 A2= PI * (.25*r)^2 = PI * .0625*(r)^2 = 16* A2 If volume stays constant, Length2 = 16* Length1 since resistance is proportional to length/area R2/R1= L2L1*A1/A2=16*16 = 256 The resistance now 256 times as great
- Q: i have a 00 gmc yukon and tried installing my cd deck. i pulled off the original harness from the stock deck radio and now its just all wires (its my first so i didnt know), i connect the alpine deck wires and tried to connect them all together. i had a few figure out, except a small noise coming from my stock tweeters every time i step on the pedal. then my speed odometer sensor was going with the bass of my subs... whats wrong? can someone find me a chart of what color wires supposed to go where? thanks for your help
- I think you are just better off doing a factory amp bypass and there shuld be a harness you can buy that will hook from the wire behind the factory amp to your deck.
- Q: Does anyone know what color the amp sensor wire is on a 2005 EX?
- some amp's have an auto power on when they receive a signal through the input speaker wires. that would give them a power and ground wire only.
- Q: i would like to hook up a cd player in my dakota but i need a wire color diagram, anyboby no where or no the colors
