Q: If you have first hand experience with these units, please advise. The idea sounds great; turn it on, leave the house, come home and the whole house is vacuumed, and the unit is back in its port being recharged. Do they do a good job? Do they miss areas like around the chair legs at the dining room table? Do you reccommend a particular brand? Please share your experience.
Mine does a great job. I have a Roomba Scheduler. Love, love, love it. I hardly ever have to vacuum the edges or anything because the dirt never makes it there because it vacuums everyday. So worth it.
Q: thank you..are the y functioning well?
In my opinion they are not worth the money you pay for them. Fine for tiny little messes like spilt dust but not for anything else. You spend more time cleaning them out than using them. I wouldnt waste my money on them. Much better to buy a smaller sized vacuum cleaner rather than a mini one.
Q: How much are they and what store sells them the cheapest
Janitorial supply stores in every city.
Q: I'm currently treating my cats for fleas and have been on a hoovering mission to try and tackle the problem in the house.99% of what I've read on the internet tells you that you MUST throw the bag away every time you hoover because fleas can escape! I can see how they may be able to survive the process of being sucked up and that eggs can still hatch, but can they really find their way out of the bag and down my long henry hose and back out into the outside world?I'm hoovering nearly every day and it seems ridiculous and expensive to replace what is actually a pretty empty bag.I'm putting a sock over the hose and securing with one of the attachments to be on the safe side but what does everybody think?
a eureka i just bought it and it works great but i have found the bagless ones tend to be more of a hassel than the ones with bags because they need to be cleaned out so frequently and have many filters in the and get clogged easily....i hope i helped... *suga-bear*
Q: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know I can buy a new, high tech(and plastic, foreign made piece of crap)vacuum. However, my Dad worked for Hoover for 40 years and built THIS one over 15 years ago. I've been able to maintain and repair it fine so far, but it's been having trouble with suction. I think the composite material of the fan blades is worn down.
I even have had the wonderful success with a Hoover vacuum. My first one lasted incredibly much 7 years till now it particularly does no longer %. up lots. I might desire to do particularly some vacuuming when you consider that I even have 2 canine and a couple of cats and it does an fairly good activity choosing up each and all of the hair. Bissell is likewise a good kind to get yet i could advise staying removed from Kirby. I even have had no longer something yet issues when I had one. no longer choosing up puppy hair and having to hoover the comparable spot for what looked like continuously for it to %. up something. i'm no longer probable valuable approximately Shark however. i haven't heard something approximately them. I at present very own a Hoover Bagless vacuum and purely like it. i think of if and while i might desire to get a clean vacuum and decide to pass with a distinctive kind, i could might desire to get a Dyson.
Q: My current vacuum broke and I need to get a new one. Where could I get a good vacuum at that is not too much money? I do not want to spend more then $80 and I live in Denver, CO.
Any of your major stores
Q: What are the best reasonably priced HEPA air filters out there? Is it best to get one that attached to a furnace (but then its only running when the heat or AC is on) or a few smaller ones and move them room to room? Also, I understand that it is imprtant to try and vacuum with a HEPA vacuum. Any advice on something out there that is reasonably priced (and reasonably priced filters). For both, I want to get something that is not too cheap (ie something that actually works) but not top of the line (I am not running a hospital.. just want to increase the quality of the air we breathe at home.
I would go with one attached to your furnace. Most thermostats have a setting that will make the fan run continuously, not just when heat or ac is called for. I think that would be cheaper to buy, run and replace filters for than trying to run several small portable units. We had a Hoover upright with HEPA filter that seemed to work pretty well for a mid-priced vacuum. Bert
Q: Skimmers are machines like vacuum cleaners that pull up the oil from the surface of the water. The water must be calm in order for skimmers to be effective.
Your own original version is better than any of the commenters' suggestions. Nothing wrong with the original at all.
Q: I had never heard of Kirby until the other night when a couple of Kirby salesman came to my door asking if I wanted to have my carpets cleaned for free.
I used to own a Kirby. They are now about $1,500 to buy. I was not so pleased after awhile with Kirby. I now own a SEBO Automatic 4X made in Germany. It is truly the world's best made vacuum, with a life time guarantee on the drive belt. That only cost me $500.00 a year and a half ago, now $600. new. So well worth it. Truly. Kirby is loud, heavy, etc. My SEBO is lightweight, and not as noisy. One of the best investments I have ever made. As for cleaning your carpet -- Kirby usually only does a small area -- for demonstration purposes only. Take care.
Q: Vacuum is the absence of matter. From my understanding, vacuums work by fans and air currents....I don't understand.
No you don't understand. All fans work on the idea of a partial vacuum behind the blades. As the blades turn they push air out in front and suck in air in the back. By the way, my preferred suction cleaner is the Binford 3000 Super Sucker.
