- Q: I have long hair and it gets all over the carpet. The vacuum cleaner is meant to be a good strong one but it can't manage the hair. At best it will put it into clumps. I have to pick it up manually and it's very annoying. Why won't the vacuum cleaner work? Will another one work or am I doomed?
- its not your vacuum cleaners fault. its the fact that your hair sticks to the carpets fibre so well. i have this same problem and my vacuum isnt good enough to do the job. what i do, is a get a broom. it must be very strong and have strong brissles. dont use the pathetic soft broom. the broom i use, is kind of like a scribbing broom used to scrub tiles. so basically just use it like a vacuum cleaner, and it will pick up all that hair from your carpet :)
- Q: I essentially am looking for a carpet/floor upright vaccum cleaner. I was looking around in stores and found a lot of choice however. I notieced the following things about various brands.1. Bissell = Seems to be the cheapest and offers more features for it's price but looks kind of flimsy. Is this a good brand. Offers 1 yr warranty.2. Dirt devel = Cost a little more and looks better. Offers 2 yr warranty?3. Hoover = I know this is a well known brand but all I was able to see was the steamvacs. My mom had one and it's about 4 yrs old. Its very good still cleans up.Also I noticed Canaster Vacuum cleaners. What are the advantages of these? What is the purpose of having a canaster? I just don't want to get a habbit of purchasing a vacuum every 1 year because it breaks....
- Do you have a pet with long hair? If yes, the Dyson Animal (purple) is the only bagless upright that does not clog up. It cleans up all the hair from my German Shepherd, cat dander, etc. I have had it 1 year and it is great. However, it is really expensive--around $500. Otherwise, I would get a Hoover with HEPA bags. You should check out some consumer reviews--like Consumer Reports or go on OKorder.

- Q: A guy who had a heart attack said they gave him a pamphlet at the hospital that said to avoid cars and vacuum cleaners because they vibrate. He also said the latest research on fish oil shows it doesn't do anything for your health.
- This question is bogus because all hospitals handout only approved american heart association pamphlets after heart disease. THIS is not one of them! so what is the double meaning or mean spirited nature of this question? As far as a food supplement goes many medical establishments refuse to acknowledge the their benefit because the big pharmaceuticals can not make money off them because they are not proprietary exclusive products!

You should also eliminate and such even if you don't take either of my suggestions; the such as at the beginning already implies that there are other similar examples so it's redundant as well as repetitive.

- because they don't turn your entire house into a vacuum. if a vacuum cleaner managed to suck up all of the oxygen and other gases in the world, then it wouldnt make any noise, and you'd be dead for asking such a silly question.
- Q: don't say the noise, because i remember one occasion i was in my friends house and the dog started chasing me.so i ran round the table and reached for the vacuum (which wasn't on) and it immediately started to back off. now before you say something like it knows the noise....this Dog was a huge puppy.so i doubt MEMORY would have been great.

In fact, shop vacs are bagless and work the same way, except the whole vacuum body is the dirt chamber. The advantage is that you don't have to buy and replace vacuum bags all the time.
