Q: My dog sheds very very bad. The vacuum cleaner I have does a terrible job. If course I would like to have the best for the lowest price. I know Dyson has their pet versions of all of the vacuum cleaners but I am trying to avoid spending $500-$600. Any Ideas?: Yes Dyson vac's do an awesome job getting up pet hair. I know how you feel about not wanting to spend that kind of money on one though. Hoover Savvy vac's also do very well and are about $200-$300 for one. I own one and have 2 dogs and it does get up the hair along with cat hair as well, yep I own 2 cats as well. If you are still finding dog hair that is not getting picked up with the vacuum, try using a glove like you would see in doctors offices, put it on and rub it over the area with the hair on it. It produces static when you rub it on the carpet or furniture and will stick to the glove. It actually works really well too! Also a dryer sheet works really well too.

Q: Hoover or Kenmore? I say Kenmore, because a gladiator would like greater quality. I have thought Kenmore would be a gladiator's best friend when it comes to vacuuming. I have thought that the guy would go for Kenmore Progressive canister vacuum cleaner to buy and use, instead of a Hoover vacuum cleaner that is made in China or Mexico, for quality reasons. I thought Kenmore would sound more gladiator-like than Hoover. Also because of performance and that a Kenmore would hold up better than any Hoover that is one the market. I would say gladiators in general prefer Kenmore over Hoover for quality, performance, reliability, and ease of use. Because of this. I do think it would be a minority of them that would prefer Hoover than Kenmore.: A Kirby of course.

Q: With Mother's Day around the corner I thought I'd ask something we all can use.There seems to be this idea floating around that many women don't like to receive things like vacuum cleaners, irons, etc. and would rather recieve something more sentimental in value. Men, on the other hand, love receiving tools and things that they can use to do things with.Most of the women in my family like getting things they can use like a vacuum cleaner or something to cook with, so I have to wonder if that thought is really true. So women, if you received a vacuum cleaner or some similar gift, would you be offended by it? If you would be, why? Is it implying that you are the homemaker because you're a woman?: if you buy your mom- or any woman a dyson or an oreck they will love you- also dysons are over 500.00 so that wouldn't beimplying you want her to do old fashioned womans house work but it does say look i bought yousomething useful and it works really well and i spent more than 30.00 on it! flowers wilt and die- jewelry is nice but a mom likes to have other things - and trinkets just sit on the shelf and gather dust- which she probably ends up dusting- and as far as cookware goes- hell yeah buy a woman a juicer- or an expensive mixer or new knives or cookware - i would be stoked! PS. Women like tools too- how many moms have a roadside emergency kit- or tool kit- that's not their significant others' that they can use at their disposal? or a cordless drill? any of those gifts i would be ecstatic!

Q: Or would 2 vacuum cleaners produce the same volume of noise as just 1 vacuum cleaner? but just more consistently? ie. the same volume of noise, but just more of it. Assume the vacuum cleaners are of equal distance and they are the same model.Some analogy could be made when you touch one hotplate with one hand and another hotplate with the other hand. Touching the second hotplate doesn't mean that you are receiving heat that is twice as hot, you would just be receiving twice the amount of heat.Or is noise more like light, where two light bulbs do equal more light.: no it wont be twice as loud. noise is rated by decibles and every time the noise is doubled, the decible reading goes up 1 decible

Q: I am currently looking for a new vacuum cleaner. The old one I've had is falling apart and its being held together by a shoulder strap and duct tape. I am currently looking for a commercial upright or backpack vacuum cleaner but I'm not sure if they are meant for home use. Can you help me out here?: sure...you may pay a lot more and they are not ultra maneuverable in small spaces. I prefer the dyson for home use though...Strong and sturdy, yet they are affordable.

You would assume this would be the most powerful one but not necessarily so. Rainbows vacuums are the best but they are expensive - you can sometimes get a good used one on OKorder
