- Q: what is the history behind it, future designs background research.
- No one really knows when the first hand held vacuum cleaner was created but it was long after first vacuum cleaners were invented. First portable cleaners were carried on back until technology allowed to minimised their size. Future designs? Dyson DC30 Hand Held is a future IMO, but who knows? FOr sure they will be lighter and more compact.

- I have had several parakeets and can tell u from experience some parakeets will bathe daily or even several times a day while others will only bathe once a week whether they think they need it or not. My females bathed daily but one male I had only took bathe once a week and sometimes not even then. Try getting a misting bottle and use luke warm water and mist her lightly while she's in her cage, she'll have a fit 1st couple of times but will tolerate it even if she never gets to liking it or else just let her bathe at her choosing.

- Q: I am a vacuum cleaner expert. I'm sure many folks know a little more as far as models and dates of manufacture, but that's easy research stuff. Not to put anyone down surely- in fact much of my books appeal would be accredited to the beautiful images of particular models and their history. Aside from your typical coffee table book styling, my book would go deeper into the actual function of vacuum cleaners. Sort of an investigative attempt to dispel myth from fact, or hype from reality. quot;BORING G G...quot;, you might say. Well maybe, but have you ever picked up a book that captured your attention simply because it was done well. Then later you found yourself flipping back in your mind about some detail you recalled from that book? Hey, everyone cleans their floor right? My desire to write an in depth book about vacuum cleaners might be well accepted. Who knows? If you have any suggestions or ideas that might help me with my outline for the book please let me know.

- Q: Boss want housekeepers to pay for vacuum cleaners, says they abuse them. Vacume Cleaners are are for residential cleaning and at the hotel we need commercial. Meaning the store bought ones are made for 5 maybe 10 times a month but are being used 400 times a month. I find this an unreasonable situation
- im a front desk worker and I have done this work for 11 years and in all that time I have NEVER heard of a manager and/or owner asking or telling their housekeepers they had to buy their own vacuums. I do not think it is illegal but not ethical. the last hotel I worked for our housekeepers used orbit vacuum cleaners and those are household vacuum cleaners. our maintenance man cleaned them once a month. they lasted forever.. maybe that hotel needs to do that also.

- You should have no trouble taking it back. Call the number on your paperwork and also WRITE them a letter and keep a copy. (just to cover your a$$). But do it right away. Personally, I LOVE mine.
- Q: I am trying to find a vacuum cleaner that works but has a security feature that prevents it from being stolen. I work in a residence hall and have inherited the task of finding new vacuum cleaners.This hall has a history of thievery when it comes to vacuums, so I am hoping to find a means by which to control usage of a vacuum either with a key, a code, a combination, a timer, etc. Checking them out and in has proven not to work so well in the past.I want these vacuums to last for a long time, and I want them to be able to power through almost anything (hair, stickers, bobby-pins, etc.). - That is a tough one. I do not know of a vacuum that has a lock built into it. The Miele canister vacuum cleaners have a handle. You can put a bicycle style lock through the handle. You could also do that with a Dyson. The Miele's last really well.
