FAQ
Q: My Vacbag keeps splitting when I use it, why does it keep doing that?
Your Vacbag may not be the one suited for your unit, as it will split if it is not the right size for the vacuum cleaner. The bag itself is not an issue with size or shape, but if the hose doesn’t fit into it then it breaks it. We have a range of Vacbags for many models of vacuum cleaners, we can always see if one fits your model or if there is a distributor near you.
Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?
All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.
- Q: Had a Bissell which was about $50, well it didn't last , and saw reviews on Eurekas, which were pretty good. Which do you use and where did you purchase your's for a good price? Not looking for expensive models, just something under $60.
- I gave up on vacuum cleaners a few years ago. I use a shop vac. It works like a champ! I vacuum the car, the house, blow the grass from the side walk. It sucks up everything. Nails, tools, and even unwanted guest!
- Q: Vacuum cleaner or carpet???
- Well of course it has to be the vacuum cleaner!......Then they simply HAD to then invent the carpet in order for it to have a use!! (lol)
- Q: Here is the thing I know ALL dry vacuums (bag or filtered) loose air flow and never loose suction. What I noticed with dyson is, the quot;never loose suctionis more a copy right than technology patent. Why any vacuum company cannot claim no lose off air flow? Which what does the cleaning, not suction. the little shark vacuum (shaped like a football) never looses suction too. So can you show me a vacuum that looses suction?
- Yes I can! Eureka is number one, Hoover is the other. Both of mine lost both air flow and suction. Along with that they lost their light, their wheels, the brushes on the beater bar, and anything else attached to them. I would like to say they sucked, but that was the first thing they lost! Trash.
- Q: Hi everyone, I will be buying a new vacuum cleaner soon and would like some recommendations/ testimonials from regular users of vacuums as to which ones you all feel is/are the best. It needs to be one that is good for picking up pet hair, and doing a 3 bedroom house top to bottom, (so will be on for a good while when in use), also the cost needs to be under ?200. many thanks.
- I recommend going with a good quality bagless such as a Dyson or the LG. I've owned my DC07 for about 7 years and have had zero problems with it and it still does a fantastic job. I also have the LG, and it too is a great vacuum. If you would like a Dyson but can't afford one, then the LG is the perfect substitute, as it uses the same technologies and has excellent features at more reasonable price.
- Q: is there a way i can get him out or he is pretty much dead? he went up thru the tube extention thingy while i was vacuuming on accident so help me please
- it would really depend on what sort of vacuum you have. if he IS alive, the sooner you get him out the better, cause he could very quickly sufficate in all the dust. if he IS dead... well, a lot of vacuum cleaners have little choppy bits to deal with the biggest bits, so... be careful of what you might find. it might not be pretty. i'm assuming you weren't so stupid as to vacuum the floor really close to the snake, right? were you being really lazy and vacuuming out his tank without taking the time to move him out of it first? i've done that with my geckos i moved my geckos though) and the extra crickets are often seen jumping around inside the dust bag, alive and annoyed. so seriously, it depends on your vacuum.
- Q: I have a 1933 hoover 800. It needs the bearings greased really badly. And I have no idea how to do it.
- since it is antique i would suggest that you try to find a good service center to take it to to be fixed.
- Q: A guy who had a heart attack said they gave him a pamphlet at the hospital that said to avoid cars and vacuum cleaners because they vibrate. He also said the latest research on fish oil shows it doesn't do anything for your health.
- That's ridiculous.
- Q: Where are DYSON vacuum cleaners made?
- James Dyson set up the Dyson company. In June 1993, he opened a research centre and factory in Wiltshire. Initially, all Dyson vacuum cleaners and washing machines were made in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, England. In 2002, the company transferred vacuum cleaner production to Malaysia. As Dyson was the only major manufacturer in Wiltshire, this move aroused much heated condemnation in the British press. Despite promises that washing machine production would continue in the UK, that portion of production was moved to Malaysia a year later. Nearly 800 British manufacturing jobs were lost; however, Dyson's research and development (and the resultant technical jobs) remains in Wiltshire.
- Q: Just curious. What would the effect be?
- A clean black hole, I guess. Could you read about black holes, BEFORE you post?
- Q: thee is so much talk about kirby vacuum cleaners ,are they that good?anyway i want to test one and looking for one to purchase onlinewhere can i look?
- Had one about 16 yrs. No complaints, but it is pricy. Bags pricy. Carpet shampoo works, other brands of shampoo not recommended (work poorly). Reliable, wife likes the self propelled option on single level house. Wouldn't want to push it around house without self propelling, which requires adjusting every few years. Buy one, will last a lifetime, I think. Try to get price down to $700-800. Salesmen will dicker w/you.
