Q:Why are vacuum cleaners quiet in the TV adverts?: Funny, funny, funny! The question is what would it look like if the average man had designed it? I'd have to go with - Charles Laughton's version of The Hunchback Of Notre Dame Man's slanted view! (and by the way - I'm not sure where from - I think that I must be turning into Ozzy Osbourne) Again - nice one!.......Laughing!

It's light weight and doesn't cost much. As far as the hardwood floors...I would just use the 'Swiffle Mop' cleaner. Uses no electricity ( saves you money ) and is very easy to use. It picks up the dust, dirt, hair and other small things without blowing them around....better than any vacuum.

We know that there is a Dyson out there specifically made for pets (we have a black lab), which is what we are leaning towards. However, we have also heard that there have been a number of Dysons that have been returned due to problems with them. Q:It's a big pain to loop them around those two hooks. I have a bad back and hate all that bending over to do so. Plus, when I turn the top hook to get the cord off and usable it gets all twisted.
