Q: Do Roomba robot vacuum cleaners actually vacuum, or are they just sweepers?: It okorder /... We have one, and it is much more effective - particularly on carpet - than a sweeper. It has a bit of trouble moving around on deep, loose shag carpet, but it's great on hard floors, rugs and other carpet types. HBJ

Q: I have the Miele now, and see that Kenmore was top rated by Consumer Reports.: Have used Kenmore for years, also based on C/R ratings. Mine is a cannister; works well on dog fur. As I recall, Miele's biggest problem was initial cost, so if it's working ok, stick with it, but if you NEED to replace it, go with Kenmore. (My sister-in-law, whose kids have asthma, also swears by Kenmore.)

Q: Does small industrial vacuum cleaners work perfectly ?: anything called industrial means it's built better (with steel rather than plastic) and lasts longer and cleans better. Everything you use takes a little work on your part though.

Q: What do you call the type of person who buys a vacuum cleaner to use it once and then returns it?: A real slob, if they vacuum so infrequently. I'm sure the retail industry has a name for people who buy a dress, wear it to a party, then return it, but I'm not sure what it is. Butthead is the usual term I hear. :)

Q: especially for philips brand vacuum cleaners: try it in Mock Kong ( may my spelling is wrong ).. near hong kong.... been once where u can find any thing .... it very cheap... there... buddy just try and write to me on this.... bye !!

Q: Are they good?: When we were researching about vacuums we read that bag-less vacuums don't have as strong suction and pick up power as vacuums with bags. I have had both kinds, and personally, I feel that vacuums with bags pick up better. I have a Eureka, and it is a wonderful, economic vacuum. (It was only $150 as opposed to Dyson's $300 or more!)

Q: I have a one-year old and lots of crumbs on my floor that our vacuum won't pick up. We currently have a bag less Bissell and I hate it. We've replaced all the filters and cleaned it but it still hardly picks up a thing. It leaves little hair balls on our carpet and kicks dust back in the air. I have to open the windows every time I vacuum so we can breathe!We're looking to get a new vacuum and I am interested in any brand and reviews you can recommend. My parents have had an Electrolux for 10+ years and it works great. However, the price tag ($500) is a little much for me. I'd also rather not go bag less again. Any suggestions?: here, okorder /
