- Q:Who has owned and recommends Electrolux vacuum cleaners?
- I bought a Guardian Aerus Electrolux. The Electrolux at Sears is a Fancy Kenmore with the Electrolux label. The true Electrolux has to have the Aerus Logo. Check with dealers. At first I loved mine but then it started losing suction. I had it serviced but it was never the same. I would recommend the SEBO it is a hospital grade vacuum and I like it SOOO much better! I have three kids with allergies and a dog... I had to have a good vacuum and I have owned Kirbie's, Electrolux, Stand up traded it up right away, for the Guardian, after a few years hated it it was bulky and lost suction, traded up for a Sebo and WOW I love it... And it is a stand up. But the suction is just as good as a canister.. Usually Canisters have more suction.... My mother also loves her Sebo and she has 4 dogs. We are corky and one day bored we argued over who had the better vacuum... Needless to say she won... I used the Guardian and then she went over the same spot with the Sebo and I was impressed on how much stuff she was able to pick up!!!
- Q:Just curious. What would the effect be?
- The black hole would just suck in the vacuum...simple.
- Q:Vacuum is the absence of matter. From my understanding, vacuums work by fans and air currents....I don't understand.
- Vacuum cleans don't suck. They create a low pressure area inside the machine by blowing out air (matter) and the outside air pressure blows air into the cleaner to fill in the void left behind. So you could call it a blow cleaner, but that doesn't sound as nice in an advertisement. The low pressure area inside the machine is a partial vacuum, so the name is accurate.
- Q:I should also add that I need a vacuum cleaner that has strong suction and is good for picking up cat hair.
- I have a couple of Oreck vacuum cleaners. They have disposable bags. They are powerful and light weight. You need the Oreck hand vacuum that goes with the upright Oreck as there is no hose on the main unit. Oreck has a small vacuum with all the hose attachments and it also has a disposable bag. Very handy for doing stairs. I've had mine for about eight years with no problems at all.
- Q:theoretically, if a doctor had to do liposuction with a normall vacuum what kind would he use, and how we he go about it? And how would he go about resealing the opening with household items? Just wondering. Also how deep would you have to cut into the skin? thanks.
- There isn't a vacuum cleaner they would use. The vacuums suction would be way too strong to be used for liposuction, that is why they use a medical suction.
- Q:Just today, one nearly ate me alive! It's a conspiracy I tell ya!! The vacuums have been specially engineered to kill off a third of the worlds population!!!! AND THEY ARE STARTING WITH ME!!!!
- i believe they are Steve just like my dog is getting violent really my new puppy hates me
- Q:how many watts does a vacuum normally use?
- If you mean a vacuum cleaner, it depends on model and manufacturer. I would doubt that most domestic ones use more than 750 watts, though. But there should be a nameplate with that information on it. Now, industrial vacuum cleaners can be a bit bigger and use more power - like hundreds of horsepower.
- Q:Just a couple of the many tips that I have for vacuum cleaners. So, what's the clogger king?HAIRPINS, BOBIPINS! I service vacuum cleaners and the number one thing I find in the hoses of clogged vacuums are the hairpins that end up lodged sideways there because the spinning brushroller underneath the vacuum separates the pin and everything that follows must somehow travel around the pin. It's usually a small piece of cardboard, or a matchbook cover.REMEDY?Get yourself a magnet and skim the floor first. You can also get a magnetic strip that goes across the front of the vacuum online at any vacuum cleaner parts supplier. Now, for the filters.Hepa's CLOG! FAST! The vacuum cleaner manufactures know this and they screw you out of your money. PERIOD!Hoover uses ELECTROSTATIC MEDIA to make their filters. So you know what they do. 99.97%...SO DO THESE:A TEN PACK OF 4X 11ELECTROSTATIC REGISTER VENT FILTERS- cut-STACK-glueCOST?$2.79where? Lowe's in the furnace filter section.
- Thanks, my dog's hair ALWAYS clogs my vacuum
- Q:Any advice, anyone?
- I had the same question a couple of months ago when my vacuum cleaner broke. Fortunately Consumer Reports had recently had an article on vacuum cleaners, so after reading the article I bought a Bissell Powerforce bagless at Wal-Mart for about $50 and I'm very pleased with it. It picks up pet hair and dirt much better than the old one, which cost twice as much.
- Q:Are there any products that work well, e.g. cleaners, mops, wet/dry vacuum-mops?
- I use the Swifer WetJet - it is safe for the floor and cleans beautifully!!! It took a bit to dry, but it dries without smearing or streaks. Everything else I've tried leaves streak marks. Also, you can get a $5 off coupon from swifer on their web site. ...otherwise you can follow the advise of the guy who installed my floors...he said just a small amount of dish soap and water, but I found that to leave streaks.
