Q: Is it true that if you accidentally vacuum metal, that can cause a fire?: Its possible, but about as likely as winning the lottery twice in a day. The material you pick up is irrelevant anything that jams the motor can cause the motor to overhaet and if you just stare at it for a while there is the remote possibility that the motor will heat up enough to combust the material around it. Ie flammable dust, lint, etc...

HEPA, I have no idea the distinctive terminology HOWEVER: High Efficiency Particles ----some thing. Replace the belt if needed, change the bag, and put it all back together. This is servicing your vaccum. Do this regularly, like every two or three bag changes and your vac should last longer. Try checking more stores to find your bags and if you still have no success then try online. Maybe for your next vac purchase, you may want to look into purchasing a bagless canister vac with filter. They are affordable and easier and in my opinion more efficient and sanitary. Good luck!

What about you?: As unique and crazy as that sounds, I've never herd of such an activity. If you ask me it sounds rather odd, and pointless. I personally don't like vacuums though, they tend to make a lot of noise pollution and I just can't stand that. But, I guess all people have different things they find to their likings, but this is one thing I'll never understand.
