- My great Aunt and great grandmother would sweep the floors well and then lay damp newspaper on the rug. I always thought it was weird but newspaper stuffed in sneakers take the odor out so maybe this was the purpose of the newspaper. If the rug could be put over the clothes line this was done and then beaten with a rug beater. You may have seen a rug beater in an antique shop and it is an heavy piece of wire mounted on a handle that would look like a tennis racket without the strings. A tennis racket could sub for a rug beater.

- Don't okorder / this is the best easiest way to keep great looking carpets. You can rent the machine that brushes the product in and then you vacuum it. th machine doesn't cost too much to rent and the results are fabulous. I kept my carpets looking like new for 10 years. When I sold my home people couldn't believe it wasn't new carpeting. Also great for allergies.
- Q: when every i take my cover off my horse it lets of static electric zaps. (you know like if you shuffle along the floor then tap some one and it lets of this zap) but its not small zaps they are very loud, you can hear them crackle from meters away if you move the cover, but they are also EXTREMELY painful!! (It left me with welts all up my arms!) i can hardly hold it because of this (it only dose it when i take it off) and im starting to worry if it may be hurting my horse as well as me, So how can i stop this? - Wash it with a few dryer sheets. And wipe your horse down with dryer sheets too. It's not like there's something wrong with it, it's normal for that too happen. You just have to figure out how to deal with it.
- Q: I am going to rent a rug doctor to clean the carpet in my apartment. The only stains are from my puppy, and I am not sure what kind of cleaner to use with it. should I use the regular cleaner or am I going to need a heavy duty/pet specific cleaner? - The rug doctor will not remove the stains, but if you use an enzyme cleaner on the spots first, any rug machine will, with any shampoo. Cross your fingers there's no smell. That's another problem.

- Get some water on the carpet, then use a brush to brush, then use clean and unused old clothes or old towel which absorbs water well to spread on it. next reuse water to scrub the carpet, then dry, and repeat several times is no problem
