Q: Power cable 5-color line, respectively, what color, what role?
Copper core cross-linked polyethylene insulated double steel tape armored PVC sheathed power cable, rated voltage 8.7 / 15KV, three core, conductor cross-sectional area of 300mm2
Q: I am trying to hook up a LCD display (CPU Temp, USB's in use, Memory Temp/usage, etc) and It came with a 5pin DIN connector for what I assume is the power. I am not sure what I need to do to connect it to the PSU. Any help or ideas?
you plug it into an open 5 pin coming from the psu. P.S. monie is thinking of a monitor.this is a display for the output of censers
Q: On my power cable, (the thing that plugs into the wall, and laptop to charge it) well in the middle of the cord, there is a rectangle black box. What is it called, and what is the purpose of it?
its a transformer to cut the mains plug voltage down to the same voltage as the battery which will be around 16volts to 20 volts for a laptop, the desktop PC will have the same transformer built into the tower casing beside the fan,but you just cannot see it, and there will be a voltage selector switch for the country you are using it in ie-UK =220-240volts, USA=110 volts or similar, both the laptops and desktops use the same internal operating low voltages, and mains voltage would fry everything inside ,that's why they are fitted with the transformers.
Q: YJV-0.6 / 1KV-5x16 What does it mean? What does it mean? 1KV refers to what? 5 if it means 5 core, which 5 core refers to a 16mm2 cable has 5 core?
This is generally not very good replacement, and you ask is not very specific, the proposed problem is more clear, more convenient for you to answer.
Q: what is the easiest way to replace the power window cables on the motor in the passenger side of a '94 accord
If you are referring to the electrical wires leading to the power window system, then you need to cut wires and splice new ones back into the system along with the plug at the end of the cable.
Q: Will it work if I put a pigtail (connect the wires by twisting them together) or does that stop it from working properly..
If you know how to do a reasonably-competent job and cover your splices with heat shrink tubing, there is no problem. Note that if we're talking about the cable that connects to the laptop, the current is fairly high (3A or so) so the splice cannot be thinner than the wire in the cable at any point. The splice should be both mechanically and electrically solid. If there's a bulge, a thin part, wire sticking out, loose tape ends, or any other such nonsense, the cord should *definitely* not be used. Any signs of incompetent assembly should be cause for completely disassembling and inspecting the splice.
Q: Does anyone know if this PSU comes with a power cord/cable? I can't find an answer for this.
Psus usually come with one, if not the cable is universal and is dirt cheap
Q: The green light on the back of the power supply comes on when the power cable is plugged. also, every time i plug in the power cable, the fan on the power supply wants to spin, but it stops. The squeezing noise remains and i push the power button - nothing comes on.Before, it used to come on for a few seconds and then it will turn off by itself. I though it was a virus, so i restarted in safe mode to scan it. The PC stayed on for like 30 minutes and then it turned off by itself. But every since it doesn't wants to come on. Is the power supply gone? If so, how can still the green button comes on and the squeezing noise remains?well, I bought a power supply, and with the new power supply, nothing comes on - not even the squeezing noiseplease help me out! I need my PC! thanx in advanced!
If the fan doesn't spin then the bearing is seized. But as you have tried a new one (PSU) it is the main board that you will have to replace. One other thing is the CPU fan working it may have slowed down so as to stop boot up
Q: Can I connect a single HDD and a DVD drive to the same SATA cable or will that draw too much power? I have 3 sata cables and a modular 850W PSU so I could use another cable if I needed to.
Power cables YES Data cables YES *but not recommended. (you would require additional hardware.) Normally the 7 pin DATA cables are considered 1 to 1. BUT with some hardware its possible to change that. Power cables are dependent on your power supply being big enough - 850W certainly sounds big enough but you need to know what is being used, such as is it powering hungry graphics cards etc?
Q: I am using a Peavey Windsor half-stack that I've had for a little over a year now. It's 300 watts, 120 VAC (whatever that means), and 60 Hz. I lost the power-cable so I bought a new one, but I wanted to make sure there's no risk in using it. I'm pretty sure it's safe but I'd hate to overpower it if that's possible.
It means that it has 300 watts of power . Thats a lot of power. 120VAC means that you connect it to a regular wall plug. If you can connect it to the amp and the wall socket , you got yourself an amp.
