Q:I would like to purchase a mobile phone with sim card from the states and send it to my fiance in Nigeria? I already did it and it took forever for it to be delivered, but he did get it. But he is unable to use it cuz of the american sim. He wasnt even able to put his existing sim into it to make it work. I want to actually buy a phone online and have it sent directly to Nigeria.Is this possible? I just want to make sure it will work and make sure he gets it faster than the last time. I tried to find a phone online that works with his phone provider which is called Zain Nigeria and I have had no such luck. Please can someone help me. thank you very much: The simple answer is, you can't. Most US phones do not work in Africa and vice versa because they use different operating systems. Mobile phones are ridiculously cheap in Nigeria - on the street you can buy many different models for under $10. Everyone in Nigeria has a mobile phone, even poor people, because they are so cheap.

Q:How could I get Picture off of my Virgin Mobile phone without them going through my virgin mobile account and costing me money?????: Unfortunately, Virgin Mobile practically forces you to make them go to a picture message because the ability to use data cables on Virgin Mobile phones have been disabled. However, if you have a Shuttle or a Slider Sonic, photos can be transferred onto a MicroSD card from your phone and then into your computer (this makes picture messaging not required to get your pictures onto your computer) If you don't have a Slider Sonic or a Shuttle, then you MUST send your photos in a picture message to get them onto a computer. Bluetooth will not work either :-( Hope this helps :-)

Q:I bought an LG OptimusV right before Christmas and for about a month now though, it has been freezing up. It is to the point now where at least twice daily it will completely lock until I take out the battery and replace it. If you are pursuing the warranty replacement route, then you are stuck with another Optimus V, and they do not offer discounts on replacement phones. I would agree that the Optimus V is not a good phone, but when you look at how cheap that Virgim Mobile is, you can see how they cannot offer higher quality phones (basically it will be costly enough that it will cost them customers, as they typically want things on the cheap.). At least the phones that Virgin Mobile offers are better quality than those that Straight Talk offers (around 1 in 5 Straight Talk phones are defective).

Q:Any other mobile phone suggestions: I have the phone. The touchscreen is very responsive and easy to use, and everything on the phone like messaging and calling is good. The 3.2 megapixel camera is also pretty good too! It has quite a few little extras that are quite nice like the basic calculator as well as a converter which is useful. The only thing i find really frustrating about the phone is that it doesnt allow you to put any content on it such as new games and applications unless they are paid for! It doesnt have a stylus as it is sometimes advertised. The other thing is it can be difficult to connect it to a pc because my laptop with vista can never locate the driver. The last complaint i have is the headphones. They're rubbish. but other then that the phone works well and is very stylish if you only want it for the basic calling, texting etc. hope this helps.

This info can be shared with the police with a court order. For anything more accurate you need quite sophisticated equipment that can triangulate your position and that is very precise. However, the authorities would need a good reason to do this and it is very expensive. Hence why it is not often used to track missing persons.
